Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

EU Roaming does not work

The EU data roaming that Talk Home advertise did not work at all during a trip to Italy, leaving me without any mobile data at all, despite spending over an hour with support they were completely unable to resolve the problem. Their support scripts appear outdated, as they insisted I needed to change settings that simply do not exist on my fully updated iPhone. The service is unreliable even in the U.K., even when partner (with EE) has perfect 5G. My data service cuts off entirely when I’m on a phone call, which is really inconvenient. The only reason to go with them is the cheap price, but falsely advertising services that simply do not work is unacceptable, and I will therefore be looking for an alternative provider.

Account queries

It was very easy to transfer to TalkHome and the tariff suits my usage. Questions quickly answered via phone call (time for existing number to be ported in) and live chat. Tom was very helpful answering my account queries today.

Worst coverage in 25 years of using a mobile

Have been with TH for over 6 months and cannot wait to leave, I am even considering paying an early termination fee, it's that bad. For the first two months of my contract I was cut off about the time my payment was due for some unexplained reason. Everything was okay for another few months, but recently, everyday I have a loss off service no matter where I am. I have tried all the help guides to no avail and the CS are not interested when you explain the situation. They just quote the legal agreement, namely an termination fee will be required. After this rant, I'll be in touch with OFCOM, as looking online this is not a one off

Very patient and helpful customer service

Tom has been really helpful and very patient with all my questions. The service doesn't seem availble where we are at the moment, but customer service has reassured me we won't lose our numbers. I hope this is still the case with the new T&C.
