Deceptive Practices & Difficult To Cancel
What an ironic company name. SwitchboardFREE. Nothing is actually free. They make it intentionally difficult to cancel. It's completely unreasonable. You can't do it yourself online. You have to email them. First they stall with their "security check" asking for details already provided. As part of their "security check" they also want your password details (are they storing this in plain text!?). Then they'll tell you they need 90 days notice despite that not being in the "terms & conditions" or "small print" actually presented to you when you're choosing a billing plan. Pro tip: Don't go anywhere near this company.

I used Switchboard free for my small business and found both the products and the customer service, second to none! The ease of the system is good for a novice like myself and I felt that the product was value for money. My telecoms solution was sorted! I don’t use Switchboard free now as my business has changed but will certainly be using them in my future endeavours!

AVOID!
AVOID!! They make it impossible to close/cancel your account. I've had a number with SF that isn't really used. There is no option to cancel on their website and they don't respond to emails (they send you a ticket number back and that is it). So I cancelled my payments and sure enough they got in contact then. They called an called saying I hadn't given notice. They agreed to cancel the contract when I paid the outstanding amount. I gave them card details for a one off payment and WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE they saved my card details and have started taking out the regular monthly payment from that card! Despite agreeing to cancel my contract!!! I have called them - and surprise surprise - the person I got through too couldn't deal with 'my situation' and someone would call me back. Just like them cancelling my contract - it's not happened. I've had to instruct my bank to revoke the transaction instead - but no doubt the letters and calls will start again now!! Terrible terrible service. Would never use again!

Great digital switchboard system
Surprisingly easy to use, cost-effective and feature-rich switchboard system. Setup a number (geographically located anywhere) then add your number(s) to divert incoming calls to, or use the mobile app to receive calls via that. You can setup time & logic based rules, for example to divert calls to different colleagues on particular days or between chosen time slots, use voice mail, have calls automatically recorded and even auto-transcripted to save you having to listen to them (a great feature if you're not great understanding strong accents for example!). Highly recommended
