This is my third chainsaw over the past 15 years and by far the best. The balance is perfect, it starts reliably, and cuts through hardwood like butter. Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for with German engineering.

Had an issue with the carburetor after about six months of use. The local Stihl dealer handled the warranty repair quickly and professionally. The saw has run perfectly since then and I appreciate having that dealer network support.

While the cutting performance is good, this chainsaw burns through fuel faster than I'd like. For the price point, I expected better fuel economy. The power is there but it comes at a cost at the gas pump.
