Reliable service. Easy to follow instructions when first setting up.
Everyone has been polite patient and helpful
There is no complaint so far about the broaband speed. It responds to our expectation.
Customer services the worst ever. When I was changing address and asked then to transfer to new address they could not supply the service in East Riding of Yorkshire. They could not fulfill their contract. Then total unreasonable. Proof of the new address required. Over half a dozen different documents supplied to prove move. East Riding council email as to were I am living rejected. They will only accept a solicitors paid letter. Bottom line they could NOT supply the service. Total bullies thereafter.
Ever since I informed squirrel I was cancelling my contract at the end of my 24 month period the performance of my internet has plummeted, Ive now got really slow download and upload speeds and connection constantly drops.
Install went well, speed as expected, no complaints 👍
The man on the phone was rude tried to explain my problems to him that I’m a single person on universal credit with a disability and health condition but tried to charge me 500 pound because I told them the Wi-Fi wasn’t that great in my house told me I had to pay a lump sum of money to leave then refused to give me his name and the manager to talk to, I’m honestly so disappointed
Purchased Fibre 900 but download speeds are at best 860Mbits on an ethernet connection. Upload speeds are around 920Mbits. This indicates serious contention. In other words, they're heavily oversubscribed – too many users (when I spoke to their tech support, they say the network is simply busy and this is to be expected). Given they're cheap as chips, I guess oversubscription is to be expected, but I didn't sign-up for a second-rate service. They simply say they only guarantee at least 60% of the advertised speed, so it could be as bad as 540Mbits and they wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. They spam me with special offers, too, with no unsubscribe button (they pretend these are "operational" emails, about important service issues; by doing this, they are breaking the law). Finally, just before I had the service installed, they came out with a special offer lower than what I was paying. I asked if I could switch to that, and they said no. Great customer service, to boot, and a terrific way to start a relationship with them.
Good Sales Team, Answered all my questions. Flawless installation outside and inside. When they installed the cable they took the same route as the telephone line from the telegraph pole to the house. Inside show them where I wanted and they just go on with it. No mess left behind after drilling through walls all vacuumed as it was being drilled. Only interesting part is GigaClear who installed the connection can not test the line after installation as they only have a router that connects to a GigaClear network. Some thought lacking there by GigaClear especially as they allow other companies to use there network. So all we could go on was the fibre box had the green light to say it was talking AOK to the other end. You would have thought they would have some way to test it before switching it on full to the Squirrell network. However, the router arrived next day and it just worked. So all was not lost. Well that was a big improvement from my old 49mbps ADSL to 400mbps fibre. I played with it for a day on the supplied Zyexel router to make sure the connection was working ok. The next day then removed the supplied router and put my old one back in as don't have time to reconfigure a new router. My old router was Draytek Vigor that has a failover Ethernet WAN connection. Confgured that rebooted and then pulled the ADSL plug out the wall. Within a few seconds it saw the ADSL had been lost and hey presto retrieved the Squirrel fixed IP from the fibre box and it just works. Fantastic. Teams video chatting is a bliss now. YouTube is constantly in HD 1080p without buffering. Even my poor ole trusty raspberry pi's which i thought were slow have suddenly come to life. Didn't realise just how slow the old ADSL line was making them run when they did an update. However, updating them now is no longer a task. Blink and you miss it. Really pleased so far with the squirrel internet gigaclear brown 400 mbps installation. Couldn't ask for more, great service thanks.
I do not recommend squirrel because they do not provide a stable internet connection. Last month there was no internet for 2 days and it was a weekend and today there is no internet access again. I moved to them a year ago and during this year it happened every now and then. I'm just waiting for my contract to end so I can move out of them.
I don't make a lot of recommendations online, but for Squirrel I have to make an exception. I've been a Virgin customer for many years (10 or more), but the option to switch to Fibre was too good to miss. I chose Squirrel based on the packages available and to be honest the name too, and I must say that I have been *thoroughly* impressed all the way through. The engineer who came to install the cable (which in my case goes from the closest telegraph pole, from which my old BT copper phone line comes too) was on time, courteous, and above all clean! Top marks there. I have a non-standard setup in my home with my own router, and didn't want to use the supplied one as mine is part of a more complex system and all working fine. I contacted Squirrel support to ask how to configure the system myself, and their support engineer (Daniel B) was exceptionally helpful. I was very impressed. The only slight issue I had was with phone setup, as I went for a package that included home phone. If I were using the supplied router this would have worked out of the box, but as my system was more complex I had to set this up myself. Once again, Daniel B was super helpful and got me working after a quick email, *ON A SATURDAY*. I'm really impressed with Squirrel and their support. And my internet is unbelievably quick, 945Mbps down and an astounding 545Mbps up. All in all I could not recommend Squirrel more. Thankyou!
Met sales person in ASDA Hessle, quick chat about the setup and process, passed him my bank details and an installation date was set. MS3 squirrel sorted out details with my existing broadband and telephone provider, who then offered a lower monthly cost than they were currently charging. This was still higher than Squirrel. Lines were installed on Wednesday and router came on Friday. 3 mins to unplug old and put in new router with cables and telephone connection. No change to service speed. Matches KCOM no issues. Only issue, KCOM also cut off email service. No Karoo.co.uk once you leave. I did manage to get an extension to the service as everything happened so fast so that I could inform friends and services about my new email connection.
I’m getting nowhere near 900mb like it said.
The internet was installed on time without any issues. The equipment was set up very neatly. The internet works perfectly at a great price.
Very good service, never really had an outage but the 900mb we paid for is only available for direct wired. The wireless connection does vary from 170+ to 400mb. We run many devices and have a constant good connection for streaming not had any buffering ever. I lost too many days with Virgin to count, I would give the whole set up 8.5/10 . If you have devices that only work on 2.4ghz, customer services can split it so you have 2 visible connections. We should have been told that as I toiled trying to connect my cameras up. I did have to get on the floor to connect up the router to the wall mounted box, but it was fine. All in all I really like the service, NO mid term increases. I definitely recommend after 6 months.
Great service and quick installation and fast internet and much cheaper than kcom .
The start was a little difficult. We had been misinformed and treated badly on the phone by one of team members. But issue has been solved and we are happy with a speed and price. Definitely would recommend them to improve their customer service 👍
Very Pleased, thank you.
It’s cheaper than the provider I used previously. It’s reliable so far but nowhere near the speeds stated.
The engineer was very helpful and efficient and didn't leave any mess at all. He asked me where I would like it putting too
Quick and easy to switch and no problems with the service. Great price as well made this a easy choice for me.
