Talked me into something i did not understand or want

I took out a life insurance with Speciality Life in 2023 after I fell at work and injured myself. The agent called me, I didn’t so I decided to listen her. She was very informative. Meanwhile Worksafe BC was giving a tough time and making me wait for my benefits. Long story short. I decided to get the life insurance coverage and she suggested I include accidental recovery insurance so I did. I’ve been paying $36 monthly since. Last June 2025 I fell and hit my head hard, lost consciousness, emergency and all that etc. I lost hearing in both my ears. First I thought it’s from trauma but it’s not coming back. Hearing tests confirmed there’s profound loss in both ears. I need hearing aids and no way can afford them. I realized about the accidental coverage with Speciality Life and it did show that they cover loss of hearing. Thank god. I have put my claim forms through and waiting for and answer back. I have sent proof of my test results etc so I am hoping for a positive outcome. Fingers crossed. GN British Columbia.

Kind and patience sales person

I had an emergency and had to run out to my parents cabin to help them ( put of cell service) and came back to find almost 50 missed calls from the same broker, it felt very suspicious and unprofessional and was a complete turn off

It was a long process to get through, but I am happy with the results. So Far. I have had this policy for just a week.
