The handover was a little bizarre due to COVID-19, other than that , exactly what was advertised.

The motorhome was comfortable, well equipped and spacious with loads of storage. It was great having a good sized fridge/freezer and oven. The heating was great when it was chilly at night. The only things that bothered us were the hose supplied had a hole in it and could have been a bit longer, levelling blocks should be supplied and the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. Despite these small issues, we would definitely hire again from Spaceships.

We hired a van from spaceship from start to finish they must be complemented on there efficient admin and organised booking system. They kept in constant email contact with easy instructions how to pick van up and drop off etc . The reason I didn’t give them 5 stars because we were really disappointed with the size of the inside the island bed layout was a total challenge you couldn’t shut the toilet door when the bed was fully out and the space to get to the toilet was not for anyone above a size 14 !! We mastered the slide and crawl back in bed technique !! A few problems with grill and tv . Having said that 5 stars for the van was so easy to drive and really good on diesel . We really enjoyed our road trip. But next time we need more living space very small ..

Hi we hired a luxury motorhome ,we picked it up from there London depot, very clean , worked from day one to 14 days later not one problem, already booked for next year.many thanks for our holiday in one of your motorhomes.

We recently rented a luxury motorhome and had a great time with it touring the south of England it was a wonderful experience as this was our first time in doing this sort of thing and would certainly do it again with spaceships rentals uk & Europe

The only reason this has one star is because I couldn’t begin the review without giving it a star rating… Spaceship rentals don’t even deserve one star. The first omen was an email about half an hour before arriving thanking us for renting ‘Kirk’ followed by a list of photos showing existing damage. We turned up to pick up the “luxury” camper van in Scotland, our first ever experience with camper vans. No one shows you how anything works or what you do, you’re given a video. About a couple of miles down the road we noticed water running through the main galley. When we took it back we found someone to have a look at it but he didn’t really have a clue where it was coming from or what to do, suggested water may have got in when pressure washed…. so not a confident start! In the evening we went to make up the bed, there had been a half hearted attempt to put a cover over the mattress but on closer inspection the elastic had gone on the edges and as a result the cover didn’t stay in place. We removed the cover to then reveal a heavily stained mattress and what looked like urine stains plus hairs in the middle. The bedding provided was equally badly stained. Needless to say we booked into a hotel and the following morning customer services and the operations Director were extremely unhelpful. We were told to go out and buy a new cover and bedding and that we’d be reimbursed but that didn’t take away from the fact that the mattress was in a revolting state. The operations director informed us that the mattresses occasionally get dry cleaned. I suspect probably at the end of a busy summer season but bearing in mind that there is still a COVID pandemic going on they should be steam cleaned between each rental. We returned the camper van the following morning after a six hour round trip and got a refund. Honestly I would never consider renting from Spaceships again, the state of the camper van and the level of service we received was deplorable, and not cheap! Friends of ours, the same week, rented a van from one of their main competitors and they said they were shown and demonstrated everything and they bent over backwards to be helpful so there’s no using COVID as an excuse not to exercise good customer service. Seriously have a good look round before even considering using this company.

No hassle and easy.. Just picked it up and drove away.. Same procedure when I dropped it off.. It was clean and easy to drive plus the videos they send before guide you through how to use.. Simple

Really great to rent our 2nd family motorhome from Spaceships Rentals. Had the pleasure of driving Comet this year and the service and support from the team was excellent. They have dealt with Covid requirements exceptionally well and have ensured a smooth pick up and drop off experience.

Booked on line with ease. Had confirmation with with van details and videos on how to operate. I checked in online and the day before, I received a code to the lockbox with keys in. On return they're was a Dropbox for keys. The vehicle was clean and very spacious. 1st time driving one, and found it quite easy, even on the Scottish back roads. My only annoyance, same with any hire company, fuel should be full and returned full, not half way or a quarter. Had a great time in the motorhome, and I would definitely use Spaceship, Edinburgh again

The rental booking was smooth and very informative, all enquiry emails came back with a reply within hours. There was a helpful customer service on pick up site and everything worked like a clockwork along the trip. Just perfect, will use it again

The good: Website is fairly easy to navigate, the email communication is prompt and the videos explain how to manage all the facilities of the van. The van itself was a good specification and the pick up process was easy. The bad: Within 20 minutes drive the ESR stability warning light came on. Switching off the engine reset it but not the most comforting thought when you are driving the largest vehicle you've ever driven. The technical support line took the call but there was no follow up. The 3rd day into the trip we had a 30 minute drive from the camp site and the toilet leaked - the cassette closing mechanism was faulty. Even after cleaning up it meant the van smelt like the inside of a really bad festival portaloo. I did exchange emails with the team , which were prompt in replying but basically of the attitude of "oh dear".

Brilliant experience with spaceships ! Very helpful and professional start to finish ! Credit to all the team ! Will be renting again next year !

Easy to book, very responsive and even easier to collect and drop off. If you're new to motorhomes then these guys are a great place to start

We hired a family motorhome from spaceships. We had a very smooth and easy experience. My wife arranged the bookings and was really surprise with the good price spaceships offered. We booked 1 month before our trip to Scotland in August. Communications were spot on. Key safe code sent by e mail to pick up the van keys, flexible in arsion Easy to watch and understand videos about the features of the van.

They were very helpful and we highly recommend them. They provided everything they say they will. We recommend booking direct with them as they provide the support directly. We look forward to booking again with them in the future.

Excellent service from start to finish. All very organised through the online application process. The information received, including videos, were more than enough to ensure we had everything that was needed to use our campervan. The pick up and drop off service was very efficient. There was no time wasted in picking up as the "check in" process was done on the website, alongside all other information on account management. The campervan was well equipped and perfect for our trip.

An excellent service provided making our roadtrip a smooth and pleasant one. The customer service team were thorough and prompt in all their communications. I highly recommend, and would definitely use again. Thank you!

Great and reliable basic camper van which slept 4 inside and was comfortable on travel for 5. Fridge was good too. Chairs and table and other things you get were all good to use. Awning is a little flappy and hard to get tight. Take it down if windy or heavy rain. Would recommend the electric wire as made life very easy at campsites.

If you are looking to rent a motor-home I would defiantly recommend this company. Communication was very good and with Covid any changes we needed to make were actioned quickly. The motor-home was lovely and clean. The pick up and drop off was easy and we paid for onsite parking so easy to leave the car with them. I would recommend you fill up the LPG as their specified garage if you think you need it as we could not find a garage anywhere on our trip that did it! The water hose to fill up fresh water is quite short and it would have been helpful if a separate water butt could have been provided so you don't always have to move the van to top up. If you like a cup to tea bring you own mugs as Spaceships just provide 4 plastic cups. We took our own bedding. The shower and toilet in these homes as super small so we did use on site shower blocks rather than the one in the van. Overall happy with our booking. We would use this company again.

We are from the States and were required to quarantine upon our arrival. Since we arrived at Heathrow, we chose the Spaceships location near the airport - it is VERY convenient...about 3-4 miles away. We were a little anxious being the first time to rent a camper van/motorhome and Jack and his crew made it very easy for us. They answered many pre-reservation questions with patience and helpfulness...they treated us incredibly well! As far as the booking goes - it was easy, streamlined, and very efficient. Actually picking up the rental was equally painless and straightforward. It may be a little hard to find their office since it is at a shared location with another business, but they send pics to show you everything - location, key pickup, etc. The vehicle was in super shape and has been a joy to drive/camp in so far. You also can't find better or more reasonable rates than what they offer. If you need a motorhome or camper van rental - they need to be your first call.
