I have absolutely no concerns with the quality of support / service that I have received since joining So Energy in November 2020. In addition, the current fixed rate tariff renewal options are well presented and competitive when compared to alternative suppliers. All of the above factors have convinced me to renew with So Energy again.

Your online information is clear and it is incredibly easy to opt in to a new tariff. The t&cs arrived within seconds, clearly laid out. Definitely a greener, and hopefully a cheaper, service henceforth.

Oh dear me….this Company is SO dismissive of any complaint, but you still have to pay your bill. Which I do. However, I made a silly mistake 3 months ago and in a mad rush, uploaded my electricity reading instead of my gas reading! Do you think I can get SO Electricity to change it? NO! Why? Because it’s a bigger number! It can only be that!! I have rung, written, talked to people, even tried a prayer(!)….all to no avail. I upload my readings monthly, but this Company refuses to believe that they are valid. I accompany all my readings with photographs to confirm the readings. Do they believe the evidence? NO! Why not?? I have asked for them to send a Company representative to read the meter to ascertain the validity of my readings, but have never had a reply! Go and find some other Company for your Gas! It might be more expensive, I have no idea, but it will definitely be easier on the nervous system!

This is an honest review having been with So Energy for a few years, never again. My 12 month fixed was about to run out on 1/7/25 so was looking at another fixed within the company and found one. I tried and tried within the app last weekend but there was a glitch, later admitted when I called them on Monday morning of this week. We spoke and discussed a deal however I specifically asked for the 1 yr fix. The difficult to understand male on the other end of the line did ask me more than once why I didn’t go onto the 2 yr fix. I explained it’s a gamble but just the 1 year fix please. That was all sorted and good news, I thought. The next day I logged in and had a brief look to find their agent placed me on the 2yr fix……. Is that more of a bonus for him so back on the phone again I went. Explained there had been a mistake and I need to be moved to the 1 yr fix when I was told the deal was no longer available……. So now I have no deal yet check my account and I am now on So Flex which is more expensive than last years fix even though wholesale prices have come down. So back on the phone again and the automated voice asks ‘Explain in a few words what the call is regarding’ and bingo, I said complaint and there I was speaking to someone clearer than myself within a couple of minutes and told them to ram it. And that’s my factual story, So energy have not been the overall cheapest but they were relatively new when I joined them, stuck by them for a few years to be treated like this. Shame on them. Roll on pastures new and never again will I forget this last week and the way I have been treated.
So energy is easy to deal with. I support that it uses renewable energy. It's prices are comparable to other providers.
