Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I went from a distiller to this machine (after searching for a better alternative) We got £50 off for mother's day but they often do different offers so keep an eye out. I was a bit confused as I'd purchased the machine with six infusions. It came with one and I thought It was a mistake, I contacted the team on WhatsApp and they explained that the infusions would be delivered monthly but could send them whenever I needed them, they also sent me a free gift, a glass water bottle. It's so easy to contact them and they get back to you really quickly.

Perfect countertop water filter
I have spent a long time trying to find a RO filter that also remineralises the water. The only options I could find in the UK were either very expensive countertop units from the USA or under sink units that were complicated and would require a plumber to fit. The Skuma has all the features I was after at a very reasonable price and the customer service is brilliant. I highly recommend this product.

Great service
I initially wanted to use this for coffee primarily, but I think the drinking water tastes so much better than any filter can produce I don’t want to go back. It’s an impressive looking piece of technology that is really well designed. I had an issue with the first one delivered but within days of bringing it up Alex was on my doorstep with a new one which was perfect and he talked me through the setup and tested everything with me.

Had a slight issue with how the water…
Update to the review below: New Skuma coffee machine delivered as promised on the correct day as promised . Alex talked me through the set up process and now sitting with a perfect cup of coffee whilst writing this update. Really can’t fault this product or customer service. I honestly don’t think that the rep Alex ever sleeps ! Once again an honest, well deserved and unbiased 5* review . Thank you Alex Had a slight issue with how the water tank was sitting in the unit . (Yes I’m fussy how things look but this was not an issue for skuma) This was no problem as Alex asked me to package it all back up ( which was easy!) and I’m getting a new one in 2 days time and they are collecting the return one. Now……. Nowhere and I mean nowhere else in my 60 years on this planet ,have I had such amazing customer service !!!!!!’ Replied to me at 8pm on Friday evening , replied to me today Saturday at 7-20pm . All done in whatsap with typed messages and voice messages . No waiting around for emails ! The unit I am returning worked fine and the water was amazing so yes it’s a genuine unbiased and well deserved 5* review from me. This company could teach many other companies a thing or two about sales and customer service ! Alex… you are a true credit to Skuma thank you Jenny

Water- the most important thing you can…
Water- the most important thing you can put into your body, finding ways to ensure that water is pure and free of impurities is vital in this day and age. I’d been searching for an affordable reverse osmosis filter for years and stumbled across the skuma system. It’s been fantastic and the difference in taste is noticeable. We will definitely be ordering another unit for our gym. 🙌

Great for coffee ☕️
I was one of the first people to receive a Sküma and I’ve been really happy with it ever since. I primarily use it for coffee (although the hydration boost was tasty when I had it too). The coffee balance water is perfect for filter coffee. I used to mix my own coffee water up using minerals from a shop, but things are so much easier with the Sküma. One press of the button and it’s done. It brings out so much more flavour than London tap water ever could. Alex and the team have been incredibly helpful as we’ve discussed different recipes and minerals etc. they know their stuff.

We are a small well-being business and we’ve been looking for an over-the counter filter for a while, especially one that could purify water but also re-mineralise it. Skuma has been a wonderful tool for the job and customer service has gone above and beyond to support us. Great company and great product.

I had been looking for a counter-top water filtration solution to reduce plastic bottle usage and ensure my family were able to drink water that was guaranteed to have none of the toxic nasties you can find in most tap water. Skuma is the ideal product. I love that you can switch the mineral booster to optimise for your health or for the taste of your coffee. The filtration is best in market and the water wastage is much less than many other filtration products. In addition the team have been incredibly responsive and the customer service has been outstanding. If you care about your health and sustainability this is the product you need

Excellent customer service and amazing…
Excellent customer service and amazing product. Helps us to get mineral drinking water from the tap without spending on plastic bottles. Good for the environment as well as our pocket. No need to drill or connect to the waterpipe. Plus a few choices of Hydration Boost which makes the water more enjoyable to drink.
