Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

CEO writes here to say he’ll drop me an email to get it sorted which looks great for Trustpilot however, tried him 5 times never picks up the number I got and hasn’t replied to my emails or messages. I have now given up - I’d love a refund but trying to speak to anyone appears impossible! Update 27/07/24 - CEO sent a new water machine out, there was an issue with the filter of the new machine but credit to him he sent a new filter out the very next day. Thanks Alex 01/08/2024 - It sadly broke again :( waste water stopped working completely however CEO has now asked us to trail a new design so we’ll see how that goes

Machine delivered punctually and in good condition. I managed to set it up following directions which I downloaded. My machine had a leak after a week or so but was replaced. I love the infusions and the taste of the water. Downside is the temps are not as hot as advertised even though I filter off first five seconds into a cup as it’s cold water at start. Not really hot enough for my tea.

The difference this makes to our drinking water is incredible. It tastes so good, you can even notice a difference in the way it looks and smells.

Great to be able to have clean water. Even used bottle water to top up reservoir and was amazed to see the residue build up in the waste tank.our plants use the waste water so no waste. Love the infusions. Just ordered 2 more. Hydration boost and vitamin D. Also knowing the water filter takes out any micro plastics is awesome. Thank you Skuma.

Purchased due to living in a hard water area and not enjoying the taste, constantly purchasing bottled water, alkaline water and electrolytes frequently made me look into Sküma especially with wanting to reduce my plastic waste. I can honestly say it’s been a game changer and is now part of my lifestyle.

This machine is fantastic! Even my skeptical son couldn’t believe how much nicer the water tastes. Easy to set up, easy to use and looks great in the kitchen. The video on how to set it up was a great alternative to reading an instruction manual. If I could change anything about it, it would be a bigger waste water tank and the water to be a tad hotter when using the hot water function. Other than that, it’s 5 stars all round!

Incredible device and customer service. My water intake has increased, the instant hot water is so useful and ny coffee machine is limescale free. It is the best addition to my kitchen. So affordable and doesn’t require any installation to mains pipes - easy to use.
