Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I am very happy with my new Skuma water filter system. It’s easy to assemble and use. It came with a generous quantity of infusion bottles. My water tastes very different now and no more carrying heavy water bottles from the supermarket to the car. I definitely recommend buying a Skuma.

Worth the money. I was buying bottled water for a long time. This machine saved me a lot of money and the taste of the water is amazing. At first there was a problem with the waste water canister but the skuma support team is a star , they have helped settled the problem. I will recommend it to my friends.

I cant lie, this is my new baby. I am OBSESSEDDDD I used to stack massive AQUA water bottles for weeks and itd cost me so so much a month just for my drinking water. Terrified of the chlorine fluride estrogens in tap water. I been using the hydration boost and have not been going to the bathroom everytime I drink! My kidneys are actually able to process this water 😍 actually cannot recommend enough. My friend and I went through 8-10L in the peak of summer on our first day🫣🫣 were more thirsty than we thought haha

Life-changing. Skuma is the best water filter! No more plastic bottled water. I have been using Skuma for 3 months. I am so happy and feeling healthier. The best purchase I have made this year 💧

26/07/24 I purchased my Skuma water unit, which arrived about 4-5 days later. From day one, it’s been giving me an unexpected bonus feature: a waterfall in my kitchen. On the first day, I came back to find my countertop and floor soaked. Trying to stay calm, I reached out to Skuma via email, their online support form, and even WhatsApp. Their response? They asked for videos of the leak (even though I’d had the device for less than a week) and wanted me to find the source of the leak. Now, I’m no engineer—how on earth am I supposed to diagnose the problem? Nevertheless, I sent videos of the soaked surfaces and dripping unit. After a day of silence, they reached out again, asking for—wait for it—the same information: serial number and details of the leak. And then, more radio silence. When I bought this device, other reviewers warned me about the customer service. I regret to report they were spot on. I've paid full price, signed up for a subscription, and am now stuck proving repeatedly that the device is leaking, with no offer of a replacement. It's especially disappointing because I live in a hard water area and my neighbors are all on the lookout for a good water purification solution. I really wanted this device to work and to recommend it to them. Now, I’d consider myself lucky just to get a response from customer service. I feel like I have no option left but to ask for a full refund and return the device. *****UPDATE 5 STARS***** 07/08/24 Just when I was about to give up and ask for a full refund, I got a call from Alex at Skuma. Alex explained what might be going wrong and arranged for a new device to be sent out. He even helped me set it up to make sure everything was perfect. This time, no leaks! The water is crisp, clean, and full of added vitamins and minerals. My whole family loves the unit, and we're all enjoying clean, healthy water. Big thanks to Alex for turning this around! Now, not only do I have a working Skuma unit, but I also have faith in their customer service again. The neighborhood recommendations might just happen after all!

After speaking to the ceo of Sküma water on the phoneabout receiving a broken product, he was very helpful to sort out the faulty product and send me a new, which he tested to make sure it worked. Once I received my working water filter I haven’t had a problem with leaking. I can knock the ceo for phoning me personal. The water taste is very good with no fluoride, pesticides hormone disruptors and micro plastics. Yes it can be noisy but it getting you clean water. The mineral does change the taste of the water. I a using hydration booster. I am saving a lot money from but buying bottle water. The one thing I think about this product is that I have change the filter once a year than 3 or 4 months. Also supporting a British company that is made in Britain. Yes it a lot of money but to have clean drinking water is more important and will save you a lot money as well your health.
