Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.
This is the third review I have written…
This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

I would be lost without my Skuma!
I would be lost without my Skuma, the water is the purest water I have ever had. I have used various other filters but nothing even comes close to Skuma in terms of taste or quality. It is the best money I have ever spent!

I've been using the Sküma for over a…
I've been using the Sküma for over a week now and it's ace! The filtered water tastes much better than what comes out the tap and I love that you can customise the added minerals. The set up was really easy as there is a linked video you just follow along and you're good to go. The various hot water settings are also great as you can make a cup of coffee to the temperature that suits you and I find the max setting is as hot as if you'd just boiled the kettle.

Mineral water on tap - what's not to love?
I was an original backer for the Skuma filtration system when it was in its development stage, so have been using mine for well over a year now. Love the sleek design, which is totally portable so can be popped on any counter top. Very easy to set up and maintain - just need to refill the water tank and empty the waste tank on a regular basis, which is no bother. Beautiful quality packaging, in particular the infusion bottles. Stunning design. In the early days there were teething issues with the waste water tank, which stopped filling after a while. This happened a few times, however Skuma immediately sorted the issue with a replacement unit, and I believe the fault was addressed in the Gen 2 system. I see a descaling kit is now available to purchase on their website, so regular maintenance should help keep the unit in good working order. I used to get headaches drinking tap water, but now I feel totally hydrated and the taste of the water is so pure. It's a pleasure offering guests mineral water at the touch of a button - we took a jug of water to the builders across the road on (one of our very few) hot days, and they noticed the difference. They clearly have discerning taste! I do feel the one area that can be improved with Skuma is their customer service response times. I've always found staff to be extremely helpful and courteous, but it can sometimes take a while to move an enquiry forward when waiting for email responses. I appreciate this can take time with a growing startup, but it's the reason I can only give 4 stars, as there's definitely room for improvement in this area. The Skuma system is certainly a game changer. The clever design instantly filters tap water, so no waiting around for the 'drip-drip' method. Yes, it's a somewhat noisy process, but it's rapid. Highly recommend purchasing the Skuma system. They're an honest, forward thinking company, so you can buy with confidence.
