Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Great filtering system
Great filtering system, love the taste and you can tell it’s clean and healthy. Can sleep peacefully knowing that my family are getting clean water and not being filled with chemicals, plastics and fluoride. The order process is easy but we never get confirmation emails of orders which is a shame as it can cause some confusion over whether we have ordered and when to expect delivery. Customer service for any technical issues has been good. We only had to use this at the start to get set up with the hot water function. I would highly recommend this product.

Very pleased with the product
Very pleased with the purchase. Easy to set up (do watch the videos) and water tastes very good. Hot function is very handy too. Will have to see how long the hydration boost lasts but good to get a pack of 3 in the box. Nice work 👍

I am happy Sküma water filter portable…
I am happy Sküma water filter portable reverse osmosis system user. When water is filtered I can switch “Minerals” button on panel and make all good, what was taken, minerals be back into my water so it taste good. Also if you do not use that option, water still is good but without minerals which was filtered. There are subscriptions in offer so you can buy 4 sachets of: - minerals - alkaline - coffee - vitamin D and others Everything to be check on Sküma’s website, explained well.

Awful experience
Awful experience, really difficult to set up and water tastes and looks strange. I tried to contact them for a week for support but no actual support, just a YouTube video related to something different. Also refused to respond to my request for a refund so I’m stuck with a £400 purchase I can’t return or use.

Fantastic Machine
We have had a skuma water filter for around 12 months now and making the change from tap to filter has been great. The only way to describe the taste is 'smooth', all the impurities that leave a smell in the water are gone. The added minerals give piece of mind that you're getting additional benefits. Since purchase the household is enjoying much more water with needing to add dilute juice in. We also don't need to use the kettle for hot drinks and the filter uses far less energy than the kettle. As a side note I use the waste water from the filtration to water my house plants, and I can say they're thriving!
