Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Pure water good, mineral infusion problem
Good pure water made quickly, but I have had a couple of issues: The mineral dispensing is off, even after 2nd flushing and tecalibration..producing much too mineralised water which tastes very plasticy. So I'm having to use it without the infusion functionality .. Also (minor) the volumes dispensed are not accurate: eg. it dispenses over 300ml when it should be 250. Content with it as is but I'd like to get the mineral infusion fixed. Update: Now it's producing water that tastes of chemicals even with minerals turned off.. something is wrong with this unit .. ordered through Healf, in the name of A. Ferguson. Please would Skuma get in touch with me asap, thanks Update: Skuma send me out a new filter promptly and now the water tastes great. Happy customer.

This is an amazing machine
This is an amazing machine ! My water is so clean now , you can actually taste the difference and a massive difference between the tap water and skuma water . Teas and coffees are very delicious with the hot water option which is a great addition to the machine too without the need to use a kettle. Overall a very good experience and I have had this system for almost a year now no faults at all .

Great Water, But Disappointing Build Quality and Reliability
I’ve been enjoying the filtered water from the Skuma machine, but I have to say, the overall build quality isn’t the best. Setting it up was a stressful experience—it took me almost four hours, as the machine wouldn’t pump water initially. Even now, it only works if I give the water tank a hard knock, which isn’t ideal. While the machine is fully functional, it doesn’t heat water properly for a good cup of tea. For the price, it feels quite cheap, plasticky, and given that it doesn’t always operate smoothly, I don’t think it offers great value for money. That said, I do appreciate having access to good-tasting filtered water—it’s just a shame the quality and reliability don’t match the cost.

Very happy with my Sküma
Very happy with my Sküma. Fast delivery, easy set up and great tasting clean filtered water free from all the nasties. Only downside is feel the hot water could be a little hotter but other than that I’m super happy so far.

Ordered and not disappointed
Ordered and not disappointed. Water and filtering impurities is important to me as a mother for my kids and myself fighting cancer. Love this machine. My only complaint would be the quality of the materials it's made from. Other than that it's a 9 out of 10.
