Hot water issues
I’ve very happy with my skuma the only thing I have a issue with is the hot water just not hot enough for tea and coffee with milk

Not fit for purpose depending on your water type. Three years extended product and customer service warranty and completely ignored for 6 months when dealing diedtly with the CEO. £600 out of pocket with a product that worked for a total of 2 months of a 8 month period.

This is the third review I have written for Skuma. I had various difficulties with my machine. On my previous trust pilot review, I stated that the company and I were working together to find an outcome that worked for us both. This has now happened and we have agreed a solution we are both satisfied with, which is why I have given a 5 star rating.
It’s mostly great but ……
I do like my machine but there are some things I don’t like. It can be a lot of work at times. I dread doing the cleaning bit, the worst of it being getting the filter out of the machine. I’m 76 and I haven’t got the strength to do this. In order to get enough strength I have to put the machine on the floor and put 100% of my strength into it. It’s probably ok if you’re a young fit male. The water isn’t really hot enough for tea but saying that it does make a decent cup. I’m not sure the filter lasts a year, especially if you are a family. I changed mine after about eight months and I live on my own. The infusions can work out expensive but since using the machine I hardly ever have cramp issues. It’s nice to get rid of my kettle. Filling the machine is a bit of a nuisance every day and because I’m in a very hard water area I waste an awful lot of water down the sink (I don’t have a garden). I paid extra for a tube to take the extra water straight into the sink (very overpriced). The downside of this is that the water removed from the machine is so bad that it stains the sink! Thanks Thames Water. When I’ve had problems Skuma have done their best to help me, I just don’t want the problems. I’m wondering if a new machine will be coming onto the market with some of these things ironed out. So, although these are a lot of negatives I do like my machine and wouldn’t be without it. It just needs improvements.

Easy set up and great tasting water straight away- only downside is that there seems to be so many accessories and must haves on top of spending £380 already for the filter

Water tastes so much better
I never drank tap water before, but after having my Skuma now notice that tap actually smells! I am so relieved to be able to ditch plastic bottles once and for all. Not bought water in a shop for over half a year now! Infusions are great to add back just what you need. Sadly hot water function is hit and miss and I personally doing use it.

We love our Skuma
We love our Skuma. The water tastes so much better and the ability to add infusions is the icing on the cake. We regularly swap between infusions to suit what we need. Plus having a subscription means we never have to worry about reordering them.

Totally Awesome
I have had my skuma since the end of August 2024. I found the product easy to use and have had several new infusions since my original purchase. Skuma are a new and very small company - there are literally just a handful of them. Sometimes it may take a day or two to receive a response from a query but they have a whatsapp channel that they monitor and they pass queries and problems on to the right people in their respective teams. The skuma itself takes a little getting used to, but once you understand how the waste tank and infusion bottles operate, and the process where the water is purified, and converted, it is fairly straight forward. I did have some issues with my first unit and it was replaced. I would have no problem recommending skuma as a brand and as a company to any of my friends and family. The water itself, since this is really what the review is all about, is quite refreshing, pun intended. I have used the coffee balance infusions, the alkaline, strength, endurance and hydration infusions. Given that your options these days are water from the tap, water from the tap via a filter, or bottled water, I was happy with my choice to go with skuma. I would say that previously I would be guilty of drinking maybe only two or three glasses of water a day, sometimes less. Since having the skuma I drink three or four times the water I used to drink.

Tastes great!
Firstly, compared to tap water it tastes great! The infusion selections are incredibly innovative 💡 the hot water function is ok and hits the temp but sometimes struggles with accuracy in terms of the amount it dispenses. The child lock function is a great feature as the kids now make all their own drinks without risk of getting burned. As a family we all drink more aswell which is great. The customer service had been fast and informative 👌
