SkaDate Dating Software Reviews

I’ve been working with SkaDate since 2021, and honestly, I don’t usually write reviews, but this one’s well-deserved. When I started my dating project, Flisk.dating, I looked into building it from scratch - and the numbers were scary. Going custom would’ve easily cost me hundreds of thousands. SkaDate saved me from that. They’ve done a lot of custom work for me over the years - always on time, and sometimes even suggesting stuff I hadn’t thought of. Especially in the last year or so, after the ownership change in 2024, they’ve stepped things up big time. More updates, better plugins - and not just random features, but ones that actually make sense for real dating apps. A recent example that made a huge difference for me - they released a Mixpanel integration. I wasn’t tracking anything properly before, just guessing. Now I can literally see user drop-offs, conversion rates to registration, to subscription - the whole funnel. I finally feel like I can run this like a real business and not just throw features into the void. It’s clear they’re not just devs anymore - they’re building like product people. I’m staying with them as long as they keep going in this direction.

We Have worked with SkaDate for years, and when it comes to building a dating website, they are one of the best options available. Unless you have a $500,000 budget for a fully custom solution, SkaDate is hard to beat. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to launch a professional and reliable dating platform.

I've been using SkaDate to power my niche dating site TransSingle.com for over 15 years, and it’s been a solid choice. The software is feature-rich, offering everything from matchmaking algorithms and messaging tools to payment integrations and moderation features—perfect for launching a dating site quickly. What stands out most is its customizability; whether you’re building a mainstream dating platform or a niche community, SkaDate’s modular design lets you tailor the experience. The admin panel is intuitive, and their documentation makes technical setup manageable even for non-developers. Customer support has been responsive whenever I’ve had questions, and the regular updates show their commitment to security and modern trends (like mobile optimization). While there’s a learning curve for advanced tweaks, the ROI is worth it—my site runs smoothly, and users love the functionality. If you need a self-hosted, scalable dating solution, SkaDate is a trustworthy pick. 9/10 (only docking a point for wishing some templates were more modern).

I have been a client since 2015, so I guess I am one of SkaDate's longest and most loyal customers. I own four licenses. I can understand if customers are frustrated with negative short-term results. If you expect a result overnight from scratch without prior experience, you're probably in the wrong business. SkaDate gives you both a professional tool and super-professional customer service. Stop going for no-service and free SAAS; you will need support at a certain point unless you have a company with the respective coworkers and departments. SkaDate itself is super flexible software. The package contains everything needed for customization. It's not free, but it's not super expensive; rather, it is affordable. SkaDate's service team saves you thousands of dollars on coworkers that you would have to hire and fire. Brainstorming: online dating, desktop version, PWA iOS and Android app, monetization, Stripe (credit card) billing, PayPal billing, members, credit point system, plans and pricing, CSS, themes, multi lingual, Google integration incl. maps, Firebase auth, login with Facebook, Google, Apple, Activity notifications, Bookmarks, Events, Forum, Friends, Friends, Groups, Matchmaking, Messages, Mixpanel Integration, Newsfeed, Paid Membership, Profiles, Profile Cover, Preferences, Privacy settings, Site Search, User Search, Users Management, Video Instant Messenger, Virtual Gifts, Who Viewed Me ... SkaDate runs on plugins; they have everything you need, and Premium plugins are continuously being developed. If you have special wishes, you can have the team develop a plugin from scratch. There was nothing they couldn't do or solve for me. As someone said here, there is a reason SkaDate is still available online. I have evaluated every existing matchmaking software. They are the only reliable matchmaking software. If you intend to publish a native iOS/Android app as a corporation, you should know FIRST what a D.U.N.S. number is and how to get one. Good luck to all entrepreneurs!

I have been a client since 2018, and while we have had our ups and downs, I can say that SkaDate is a solid company. They get the job done and I’m excited for what the future has in store. CHEERS to the next 7 years!

I have had the pleasure of working with SkaDate for several months. My experience ranges from the pre-sales demo to the setup and the ongoing support for tweaks and adjustments (mostly a lot of hand-holding to help us). The SkaDate support team has been spectacular. Alexander and Dana have patiently and very competently assisted us every step of the way with configurations, tweaks and advice. I thank them sincerely. The software itself is everything I was looking for. Responsive, configurable, looks excellent and has multiple adjustable templates to suit your tastes. The plugins are very good; I have been able to add many advanced features that other software cannot do. I am very happy with how I can efficiently administrate the site, plugins and users. I look forward to many years of partnership with SkaDate and any new features.

I launched my online matchmaking business in a specific niche nearly 20 years ago. In the beginning, I relied on free software that lacked reliable support. As I explored other options, I found that most of them eventually became obsolete. I was particularly cautious about Skadate.com, as I considered it too expensive. However, I learned the hard way that nothing is costlier than software that doesn’t come with solid support—especially after investing heavily in advertising and marketing, only to struggle with buggy software that was tough to troubleshoot. Each platform had user community forums, and we all encountered the same frustrating challenges. In 2016, I took the plunge and invested in Skadate.com, and it has proven to be the best software decision I’ve made. With their trustworthy support, I now have peace of mind knowing that any modifications I need can be handled efficiently and at a reasonable cost. Previously, I spent far too much on unreliable software and ineffective advertising. Investing in the right tool has made all the difference.

I've been a client and user of Skadate's software for my dating site and apps, 5Ddating, for over five years now, and my experience has been nothing short of excellent. Skadate stands out for its ease of use, providing a robust platform that makes managing a dating site straightforward, even for those without extensive technical expertise. The software is feature-rich, allowing me to create a customized and engaging user experience that aligns perfectly with the vision of my platform. The customer service has been consistently outstanding. Whenever I had questions or needed support, the team was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to resolving issues promptly. This level of support has been a significant factor in the success of my platform. Another key highlight is the value-added updates. Skadate regularly releases updates that keep the software aligned with the latest trends and technological advancements. These updates not only improve functionality but also help my platform stay competitive in a fast-paced industry. Overall, Skadate has proven to be a reliable partner in building and maintaining my unique dating platform. If you're looking for a high-quality solution for your dating website or app, I wholeheartedly recommend Skadate. Thank you, Skadate, for five fantastic years—I look forward to many more!

There is probably a reason why skadate has been on the market for so long compared to others offering similar services. Everyone who knows about software development knows that not everything works right away and needs adjusting and fixing. Skadate was always helpful and I can recommend their services. Since the new ownership I see more new features developed and I have high hopes they will continue improving their service!

Today I spoke with Skadate asking them what are they going to do about the obligations that were made when I purchased two licences. They sold thousands of software packages to people and then sold the company assets and customers. They refuse to stand by any of their obligations. I lost thousands. The site software I purchased is riddled with bugs and not secure. I purchased two licences. BUYERS BE Aware In response to Skadate. I have only lost money with your site software (thousands). I have never made one cent in all those years. I have the site up but don't use it because it has SOOOOO many bugs, and problems. I haven't approved a member in many years. I just keep the Domain name for when I build a reliable site. Both licenses I bought I made nothing. I didn't ask for a refund. I asked for a safe reliable site. This is how loyal clients get treated.

I have been using the SkaDate Dating Software since November 2019. They issue ticket numbers for each service request. From the date I started, up to now, I have contacted SkaDate for different support requirements. Lora was in customer service since I started and she helped me on a few different occasions. I need to mention that the service I received from Lora was exceptional from the beginning. I had some issues recently, she gave more than 100% in fixing my issue. She contacted my hosting provider on behalf of me. Although She is in customer service she has a good knowledge of IT as well. I wanted to thank Lora for her wonderful customer service. The great work with app develop, clear, easy to use, online support, always give me many help, thanks so much to skadate.

If you want to waste thousands of pounds. Go with skadate. I have come to terms with wasting my money on a rubbish platform. All their raving reviews can be found on their website. Yet they claim to have helped many customers....so where are all these hundreds of satisfied customers hmm?? Glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.

I've been using the Skadate software for five years now and after a very slow start, things are finally looking up. That was until a month ago when I noticed I couldn't post any links to the site from the facebook page. The site had been blocked by facebook because it "breaches our community standards policy". This review is about two aspects of Skadate and their software. Firstly, the ongoing ticket support and how they helped me resolve this issue and secondly, the security aspect of the software. Some years ago, when I first purchased the Skadate software I found it complicated, confusing and very difficult to work with. As the time passed and I purchased more tickets the coding became clear to me and I now I find it quite easy to make changes and modifications myself. The main reason for my review today is the support I received this last week. As I mentioned, I found myself in the position of having my site blacklisted by facebook. I Googled it and quickly realised that 1000's of others have all been in the same position and the outcome was pretty much the same... no way of resolving it! One of the various problems was the fact that there is no way to contact facebook other than completing their 'feedback page' and that was just a waste of my time!! Over the next three weeks I sent 326 'feedbacks' about my site being blacklisted and emailed zuckerberg three times, none of which probably even saw the light of day! After more Googling, I saw that this same issue had affected all types of websites from personal non-profit sites to quite large commerce sites and some had even gone to the extreme lengths of changing their IP or even hosting to resolve the sites being blacklisted. My issue with facebook was that my site had been listed on their platform with no Community Standards policy breaches for over four years and all of a sudden, 'with no changes' it now breached the policy. How could this have happened if there had been no changes? After exhausting all avenues and realising that I may also have to go to the same extreme lengths as others such as changing my IP or even hosting, I put a ticket in to Skadate. I didn't have any live ticket open but messaged them anyway asking if they had come across this issue before and if they had any ideas. The following day, I received a reply from Lora who had looked into the matter and taken it upon herself to contact facebook on my behalf to explain to them that my site was to a particular standard and that it did not breach their community standards policy. Two days later, I tried posting a link to the facebook page and it worked! What a relief! I attribute this change solely to Skadate support and without it, I would now be looking into making major changes to my hosting. Facebook is a necessary evil in the game of marketing and without it, traffic generation would be much more difficult. This covers my first aspect. Skadate support - Fantastic! Secondly, I would like to mention the security of the Skadate/Oxwall software. I also have other sites which include Wordpress and other software coding and over the years, I have encountered many problems with hacking attempts, particularly with WordPress, even with Wordfence, Shield and other security software in place. There is always someone trying the latest tech to hack your site. In contract to my other sites, I have never had one problem with the Skadate site regarding hacking. To me, it just seems... safe! ... and that is very reasuring! Hope this helps anyone reading. Regards

Skadate software is awesome, it's pretty simple to use and that coming from someone who has absolutely no knowledge in scripts, HTML, or any developing skills. A round of applause is the least I can do to show my appreciation towards the staff, excellent customer service, tending to after sales queries and so much more. A full package indeed and thumbs up to the team.

Don't use Skadate. I had been using Skadate for 8 years until the beginning of this year when I moved because they nearly destroyed my business. I had used their software quite happily until they decided to change it and my old platform would no longer be supported. The migration was terrible. It started in March last year. They took 3 week instead of the few days I was quoted. My site was down for 3 weeks! Then once it was back up it was so slow, my members couldn't get on, just buffering. A dating site that you can't log onto because it timesout ALL the time. They insisted it was our server, which it wasn't. When we gave them access to our server, they finally conceded it was their software. A plugin was supposed to be the problem and was "fixed" but it made no difference. This (December last year) was when they decided to stop answering my emails and texts (yes it was so bad I had the direct number of one of the support staff in the Kyrgyz Republic). Luckily in September I had already started looking around for an alternative platform and moved in January this year. I'm now with a fantastic company with support that is second to none. I've been working hard to get my customer's trust back and now my turnover is much better than it ever was with Skadate. Look for alternatives to Skadate, they are out there.

It was a very long and hard way to get any success in my online business when I started it 7 years ago for the first time. I tried out a lot of options offered on the Internet thinking that key for success is just a software. But, had no luck. 3 years ago I started working with Skadate and it was outstanding contribution to my business. I came with my idea and now I can make millions of people happy. My website is not a dating-related website, but the beauty of Skadate is that they can bring any idea to live! Thank you guys for making our lives easier and allowing me to believe in myself. God Bless you!
