Sakura Mobile is very easy to set up via eSIM which is what I went for.
We travelled a fair amount in Japan and I had good coverage everywhere we went.
The price was fair (equivalent to about £25 per week for unlimited use).
I wasn’t sure how to set up the eSIM at first so I emailed Sakura Mobile help center. They replied within an hour and walked me through the IOS recommended settings.
10/10.

All the processes was easy eve that i had an issue with the data not working because I did something wrong in the process, i contacted them through email and they were super fast and helpful and helped me to fix the issue, thanks for the amazing team and i highly recommend it

I first got a Data-only SIM when I moved here, so I could get a Japanese phone number. Worked fine but the data limits are pretty low, so I ran out of data fast. Had to keep buying top-ups. Then, decided to upgrade to a Data+Voice SIM. They told me that since the first one was a three-month contract, I would have to keep that one and get the new one (so for two months I will be paying for two SIMs, instead of just updating my monthly rate to the new, higher-cost SIM). It's ridiculous, but I wasn't left with another option since I needed to set up things with my utility companies. As soon as my contracts expire, I'm going somewhere else. I feel scammed. The customer doesn't come first here.
It is a great experience, thanks to Sakura Mobile. They delivered the device fast. Also, modest price. But in some parts of Japan, the internet connection is weak a little. Maybe they can improve their service better. In particular, on local trains to the Chushojima and Kyobashi lines. I had some difficulties. But 9.8 out of 10 :)
I had an issue where my data was used up at twice the rate both sakura's mypage and my phones data measuring stated. They addressed the topic, but I did not receive the data I did not use. It was close to when my next data cycle started.
As someone who can barely understand Japanese, I found the English service in Sakura mobile’s Shinjuku branch very refreshing. The overall customer service was a 10/10! The network itself is fast and I’ve had no issues with my data since I started the plan over a month ago. It’s also really easy to manage your account. Highly recommend.
2 month usage, so far so good. No lag or whatsover. It's as fast as how it was promised. Installation was fast and easy. Payment method is clear. Also, CS's are kind and responsive.
The internet service is good and fast,However, I do think that this internet company is too expensive. The monthly cost is too much because other companies charges less than that and the return of the devices cost is too much money. But the internet is fast and effective but Sakura Fiber mobile company is too expensive that is why I am giving a 3 stars review.
Just back from Japan and used Sakura Mobile, picked it up at one airport and dropped at another airport using the prepaid envelope. Was brilliant from start to finish and would recommend to anyone
Fiber optic connection is doing great, appliances shipment and installation went smoothly even in Northern Japan. Although there is a problem in my SIM card right now, presumably it is a card problem.
Note: The SIM is already replaced and doing great now!
