Ordering this vest was easier than I thought...and it came quickly! I have worn it hacking and over fences...I hardly notice I have it on. My only worry is to not forget to disconnect! The big test will be how comfortable it will be on a hot/humid day.

The purchase experience is generally good. These guys are always helpful for questions of sizing etc. I did have a technical question regarding maintenance of a riding vest (required after a certain number of detonations) and never received an answer.
My representative was the most knowledgeable person I have worked with to obtain an inflatable safety vest. She was very helpful in identifying the best options for my riding style and body type from the very plentiful selection available. It was a great experience overall and I am thrilled with the vest I purchased.

She returned my call promptly and spoke with me about all her products and the pros and cons of each as it relates to what I do with the horses. She stayed on the phone with me and patiently and expertly answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. After my discussion with her, I was confident in my decision to go with the RaceSafe ProVent and, with her help, was measured accurately and received my vest quickly. They came to my barn and had a bunch of different brands of vest. I was able to try on all the brands and fine the one that was most comfortable and fit me best.
Catherine is very nice however.... If you are not 100% sure that the product will work for you, would highly recommend not buying. Spent $800 on a vest.... Used it twice and did not realize that when the Air canister deploys (accidentally during dismount which apparently happens to a lot of people), it makes a very loud sound. I have a very spooky horse. Of course, if I actually had been thrown, I probably wouldn't care how loud it discharges.... Better to have a loud noise and protection than not. But just know that this Air canister sounds like a firecracker so if you accidentally dismount without unhooking and your horse is spooky, hopefully you will be off the horse by the time it actually discharges. To her credit, Catherine offered to give me a discount on another vest which is great customer service. I understand she cannot take this vest back since I have worn it. While I am unhappy about spending so much money, this is my own fault for not doing more research.
