Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. Many thanks to Karen Mariejewko. She went above and beyond to help progress the sale. She kept me up to date with progress each Monday, and often during the week as well. I often became exasperated with one of the firms of solicitors dealing with the sale. She chased them up regularly on my behalf. She let me know every time there was progress. She was also very patient with me as I made numerous emails and phone calls to her. I am sure with Karen’s input the completion date was much quicker. Her service to me was second to none.

Our negotiator was Elizabeth (Liz) at the Wakefield branch. We recently sold through Richard Kendall and ended up in a very long and complicated chain- not an experience we wish to repeat! I can honestly say that if it wasn’t for Liz going over and above to keep different parties informed and support our decision making, I don’t think we would have successfully completed on our sale. We encountered so many different issues at other points in the chain, and Liz was able to advise us and make contact with the necessary people so that we could act in the right way at the right times. No question was too silly, and we were never made to feel like we couldn’t get in contact. Calls were always returned quickly and Liz ensured she was in contact, especially during the frustrating times where not much seems to be happening whilst the solicitors were busy completing the conveyancing. If I knew of anyone looking to sell, I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend Liz and Richard Kendall as an agent. We’d like to thank Liz for everything she did to help us move to our forever family home. We couldn’t be happier and are very grateful for Liz’s expertise and professionalism.

We had Shireen and Catherine managing the sale of our property. Unfortunately our buyers buyer pulled out at the last minute, but we were kept informed at every stage and everything was soon back on track. Shireen would be in contact with ours and the buyers solicitors regularly, giving me weekly update calls which really helped, especially after the chain had broken. Right from the beginning at the valuation stage, all the way through to the final call to say we had completed, I would recommend Richard Kendall's to anyone looking to sell a property.

Worst experience ever selling my property, staff where rude to the point i had to request a new sales advisor. Did nothing to sell the house or keep me updated. I cancelled YOPA for them as richardkendall 'sold me the dream'.. told me they would sell it an YOPA wouldnt type thing. House was at £475000 with YOPA had 3 viewings. House was at £450000 with richardkendall had 0 viewings. An now im £140 down and taken the house of the market. I would definately avoid. They may tell you they will do more than the cheaper estate agents, they may tell you that they will sell it faster. They wont. Its all lies. Just trust me an go else where :)
