No-one turned up to the viewing

Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.

Mandy Bennett Ossett branch.

Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!

Professional, Personal, Efficient Team

As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. You're welcome to visit anytime to see what it was all about and that's not something you'll hear said to an estate agent very often - speaks volumes 🥰. Thank you.

Outstanding support- Karen Marijewko

I had an exceptional experience working with Richard Kendall . From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. They guided me through every step of the process with clear communication, expert advice, and genuine care. Their deep understanding of the market and attention to detail made everything smooth and stress-free. I truly felt supported and well-informed throughout. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with a personal touch, but Karen Marijewko exceeded all expectations. She provided me with more feedback and support than our solicitors did which helped settle the nerves when selling our property. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent — they are simply excellent at what they do.

Highly recommended

The Ossett office have been incredible helping me sell my house. I was lucky that the first person bought the house however when things started to get delayed with buyer and solicitors they were great at chasing both sides. Also the pictures of my property were amazing! Thank you Suzanne and Donna

They took on the sale of my Mums house…

They took on the sale of my Mums house following her death and took all the worry and stress out of the whole process. I was impressed by their professionalism and friendliness as well as the ease and speed at which the sale went through. I have bought and sold 6 houses and never has a sale complete so quick. I cannot thank them enough

Promised me the world to get me on…

Promised me the world to get me on their books, they said they had people waiting for properties like mine, even in London. Had 4 viewings in 3 months. Terrible communication, I had to contact them all the time, they knew I wanted a quick sale, said no problem with a house like mine as it was quirky, that soon became a negative, as did school holidays, coming up to Christmas, excuse after excuse, would never recommend them to anyone.

We are in a position to buy immediately…

We are in a position to buy immediately even though our property is currentley on the market ( booked with viewings). We called Richard Kendall Estate Agency to enquire about a property and to arrange a viewing. We established with a member of staff that an agent was already at the property to show around another couple. As we live less than 10 minutes from the property we suggested that it would be good use of the agents time for us to view the property after or before the already arranged booking (10mins internal viewing was all we required) as the location gardens etc was already established. Astonishingly, we were advised this was not possible as they only arrange one viewing at a time in half hour slots. Although they only had one booking arranged there was no flexibility to add another. Given our purchasing position and proximity to the property this approach seems a a little short sighted and is definitely not in the the interest of the Seller or the Buyer. One particular member of staff in the office was actually quite dismissive and lacked any kind of common sense. To top things off, despite "saying" the Agency offers flexible viewings during the week, (People do have to work) ...early evening viewings are non-existent and the first chance we could be offered would be the following weekend! Finally I must point out this wasn't a property new onto the market !. And we are a serious buyer in a good position to proceed. This is the vendors loss. Andrew Jones

Anyone else but these!

Where to start... My family and I viewed a house that we wished to buy through this estate agent, we viewed it twice and liked it. We immediately got ourselves a mortgage approval and had an offer (almost the asking price) accepted straight away. We instructed this estate agent to then sell our house. We were responsible for all but one of the many viewings we had, simply because Richard Kendall estate agents "didn't have time or availability" to show people around. This meant time off work and cancelling evening and weekend plans to accommodate. After a few weeks, we received a call to tell us that we have had an offer (which was a reasonable one) but they had since sold the house that we were intended to buy. When I asked Amanda Dyson how this had happened without our knowledge she immediately claimed that they had not withheld this information from us and it was merely a coincidence - a strange response given that I had never suggested this in the first place. It seems that we were expected to "just move somewhere else" by these people. I'll leave the reader to decide whether this was a coincidence or, as Amanda herself suggested - something else a little more sneaky. I was then told that we could put in a higher offer to win back the house - DURING THE SAME CALL I was then (in an obnoxious and arrogant tone of voice) told that we "wouldn't be in a position to proceed" anyway because they didn't know what position the new buyer would be in. Once this call ended we then received an email informing us that nobody was actually buying our house?! We have been very keen in both buying and selling through Amanda & Nikki at Richard Kendall but the way we have been treated through this journey has been shocking. In my experience they are unprofessional, rude and arrogant. Very disappointing.

absolutely brilliant

I simply cannot fault the Pontefract office at all, Lisa Wood in particular. It's been a difficult sale to say the least, and they have been amazing! Always helpful, cheerful and reassuring. I'd definitely use Richard Kendall again.
