Hosts beware

Hosts beware. Do not list with this rental platform. The communication, follow through, and payment processes are horrible! It has been 2 weeks since we hosted a two-day rental and no one has responded to a single email that we have sent and we have had to involve the Better Business Bureau of the polarimo County California local licensing board. Do yourself a favor and read the Better Business Bureau and all reviews that aren't published by Red awning as they are biased. Unless you feel like being constantly managing right awning more than you would have managed your own platform or property. They are simply a high price listing service that expects to get cleaners through turno and maintenance through Thumbtack and will say they are a full service platform but they are no service platform. Please do your homework and believe the things you read

Lack of professionalism and knowledge

I had a very disappointing experience with RedAwning, specifically with a representative named Scott. He was not only unhelpful, but he also demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, he was dismissive throughout the call and ultimately hung up on me before I had even finished speaking. This behavior is completely unacceptable. It has caused me to lose all trust in RedAwning.

“This townhome was absolutely perfect for UofI graduation in May! The location was 2 blocks from commencement making it ideal for every type of event associated with the university. The accommodations included every detail possible - tastefully decorated.”

Quiet location and close to town

Quiet location and close to town. Older cabin but comfortable. Wished it had a washer and dryer instead of the big tub. Nice week away

Banyan is not the same

Banyan is not the same. Koko resorts have no no staff on site on weekends 24/7 is a disaster and things went horribly wrong as they didn’t pre-programme door and getting it fixed after 9 hour flight and the only person at call centre wanting to go home at 5pm in a Sunday was appalling and I had to force them to stay and fix or we would have been locked out all night on our arrival day. They said all the right things and apologised with some macadamia nuts … which meant nothing as they ignored “looking into it” and gave lip service. Won’t waste thousands on them ever again and have used KoKo resorts and banyan for years. Very disappointing and price insane now for the condos these days, much better deals to be found on Oahu.

Good & Not So Good

Easy enough to book, however, you are ONLY shown the nightly amount and total amount for each night when booking. It's only when you check out, the ACTUAL total amount shows up (in my case another $700. Obviously that is incidental charges (cleaning, deposits, taxes, etc) but they are not itemized at the time of booking! I had to contact RedAwning to get a list of itemized charges after the fact. I was provided the itemization within 48 hours of my request. It would have been nice to know what these charges were going to be prior to booking.

We had a wonderful experience with this company and property. We had all the information we needed before arrival and the property was perfect. I have nothing but good things to say about our weekend!

Disappointed by hidden pet fee.

The condo is alright. The location is ok to iffy. It's a less expensive place to stay because of the location. We were left very disappointed after our visit as we were informed of a fee for pets that wasn't listed on the redawning.com website. We opted for the condo being the site actually said PETS OK and pet-friendly accommodations. We didn't approve of the charge, but Red Awning charged it anyway. When we disputed it with our CC company, Red Awning credited the charge back. Red Awning emailed us about the reason for our dispute. We sent snips from their listing demonstrating there was no mention of a pet fee. They did not reply. Four weeks later, they charged it again. It's noteworthy that their listing now clearly mentions "Please note that this is a pet friendly property. A fee of $25 per pet, per day, is applicable for guests bringing pets."
