I buy my groceries here sometimes. Hi Phil
In placing an order to be delivered. I noticed an error on my profile page in regards to the store address closest to me. In trying to contact Kroger customer service, I lost all interest in purchasing from Ralph's. It took me 45 minutes and 6 call. The Bot that answers hung up on me 3 times. If it hasn't been programed to answer your concern, it does nothing. If you just say "help", it doesn't understand that either. It seems the people managing this company should have tried out the system before it was approved. Just lost them a customer.
I have many Ralphs and a Pavillions in my area. I've gone to Pavillions for years but recently decided to do a comparison. I assumed a couple of months of alternating stores then compare. After trips to Ralphs it was so obvious I stopped. Even things on sale were a dollar+ more than Pavillions. The vegetable area had fewer options and (small thing, but super annoying) Ralphs doesn't have baggers. So it's slower to check out. Lines were longer at Pavillions, but given how, much better it is, I don't know if that can be fixed. My last visit the woman checking me out told me she doesn't shop at Ralphs.
On October 4th 2021, I walked into the Westwood Ralphs store #759 on 10861 Le Conte, Los Angeles, CA, 90024, was followed by security, detained and asked what I was carrying in my bag and why I was “patrolling” in the store. I made a brief entry into the store as I was looking for a specific item which I didn’t find and proceeded to walk out. I never touched anything or lingered. The whole trip lasted just about 10 minutes so it was to my great surprise when security stopped me and asked me why I was “patrolling”. I don’t even know what “patrolling” means in the context of what I was doing. Aside from a small crowd stopping briefly to see what was going on, to my great embarrassment, I thought security was about to drag me off and rough me up. Suddenly security released me probably because they realized they had nothing to pin on me. I was so upset with this encounter that I went back, found the manager and told him what had happened. When the manager told me security was doing its job profiling me, I thought I would have better luck presenting this problem to Kroger Headquarters because this was the second time I was being profiled in this Westwood Ralphs store. Well, it’s been three months and despite reaching out to several departments in Kroger, no one has bothered to reach out to me.
The two people that are # 1 -- manger Ulv and cashier Michele at the in Manhattan Beach. They both should be in your training dept. Alway nice and very helpful and a nice smile . It is a very busy store and these two gals shine BIG TIME
Quality food and although prices can be steep. Staff are always friendly and courteous.
Fresh groceries & good location!
I wish I read the reviews here before trying to order a delivery. The package was damaged in delivery and discarded, it never made it to my door. When I called customer service, they said they would refund it to my rewards number right away. It was refunded as "fuel points," which can not be used for re-purchasing the item. I contacted them again and they said the shipping did not show "completed," therefore there was nothing they could do. I contacted support a third time and they said they would fix it. They removed the fuel points and said the refund would take 5 business days to show up. After 5 business days, I contacted them again (4th time) and they said it takes 5-7 business days and to wait. After 10 business days, I called support again (5th time) and they said to wait a few more days. I called support a 6th time and they said it had been refunded to store credit, but this can't be used for deliveries, so I can't re-order my item. The item isn't in any local Ralphs store. So there is no way for them to re-send you a delivery that you ordered.
I've been ordering delivery from Ralph's once a week since BEFORE the pandemic due to some foot surgeries. All of a sudden last week, after completing my cart (35 items), the delivery would not go through to the last page. I tried about 10 times over 2 days, calling customer service in between. They couldn't help, but gave me a reference number and said I'd be contacted to help troubleshoot the problem; I was never contacted. I had to re-do all 35 items at Vons and have them deliver. It is now four days later, and I still haven't heard anything from Ralph's. They were reliable in the past, but customer service is HORRIBLE if anything goes wrong.
I use a small personal cart to carry my groceries home, as I walk, take the bus & don't have a car. I called Ralphs 3 times to find out if they still sold this kind of cart, because mine had broken & I needed another. They kept putting me on hold to check, then would forget about me being on hold. I didn't want to walk and make an un-necessary bus trip if they didn't have them. They did, and were $24.99. I went to Ralphs, grocery shopped & also bought little cart to take groceries home. An employee had to climb up on 12 ft. tall refrigerator to get cart down for me to buy. I used my $1400.00 stimulus card, that a lot of other people also received for Covid Relief to purchase the cart. A month later, I went back to Ralphs to shop, bringing the little cart. I asked employee/supervisor where I could put it while I used their big cart to shop for groceries. She said "Up by the service desk". So I parked it there, and went to shop. When finished, I went thru check-out, and went to retrieve my little cart from service desk, so bagger could pack my groceries in it. I never went out of site of cashier. The cashier then asked me, "Do you have a receipt for that cart?. And she asked me in front of all the people behind me in the check-out line. I said "No, I bought this cart a month ago with my stimulus card, and didn't think to bring the receipt with me". The cashier then started to LIE and said to me, "That cart has been sitting at the service desk for last two weeks". I immediately became angry & livid. I then told HER when I FIRST walked in the store WITH the cart, I asked another cashier at first check-stand when I walked in, WHERE to park my cart, so I could shop with the big one Ralphs supplies to customers, and for this cashier to ask HER! She totally accused me of stealing, in front of people, and lied to bolster her accusation and suspicion. Oh!--I was so PISSED and EMBARRASSED & HUMILIATED! I finished my purchase and took MY cart loaded with MY groceries and walked OUT of the store while everybody watched. Thank God there were store videos that would should show me walking in with the cart & parking it at service desk, and that I used my stimulus credit card so Ralphs can pull up my receipt from the number on it, and see I purchased the cart. My credit card statement online shows I purchased the cart on 04/14/21 and it was included in $78.68 dollar credit card purchase. I also spent about same amount on my EBT card for groceries that day. This incident & accusation happened on 05/12/2, almost a month later AFTER I bought the cart. I spent over $100 that day too at Ralphs. Who would remember to bring receipt after a month? Someone there at Ralphs has to know I bought it. They don't sell those every day. The cashier who ran it up on 04/14/21, and the employee who took it down off the tall refrigerator & accompanied me to the check-stand on 04/14/21 know I bought it. Also, my phone calls asking if they still sold the carts. I know this, as I used to be a Ralphs employee and cashier. You can't accuse someone of theft without actual proof. I told her I bought it a month ago after she asked me for receipt, and I didn't bring receipt with me that day. SHE then lied and said the cart had been sitting at service desk for two weeks, meaning I didn't bring it with me that day and that I was stealing it at that moment. Not having a receipt after a month isn't proof. "Ralphs said they are sorry my experience did not live up to their standards" I want to know if they reviewed the store video or my credit receipts they could pull up, proving my purchase and innocence, and proving that the cart hadn't been sitting at the service desk for two weeks as the lying cashier had said it had, in front of people. I want a damn apology from the cashier who accused me of lying and stealing the cart, when SHE'S THE ONE WHO LIED and store video will prove it. That I parked the cart at the desk an hour earlier. I also wan an apology from Ralphs! I don't mind the cashier asking me for a receipt, but I DO MIND cashier lying, after I explained I bought it a month ago & didn't think to bring receipt! Store #0067 3330 Yorba Linda Blvd. Lying cashier was Noreen H and manager was Dan who seemed nice, but patronized me by belittling my humiliating experience, offering me "ice-cream" for it, like I was a small child and not a 59 year old woman.
Friday night at 7:30 and only one cashier on duty. Line was ten people deep, all with too many items for self check. No manager in sight. Multiple employees wandering around but only one cashier. I am considering switching to another store. This is completely unacceptable.
I started ordering since May 2020, and have ordered many times. I have had to contact Ralphs several times. The past three times I subscribed to the annual service. After last week's dubious incident, and information from the chat service rep. I decided to check my bank account to see if all the overcharged amounts had been credited over the past year. NO - not one received. Not only that, nowhere on the Ralphs web site can you check how much and when the amounts have been credited. After looking for this information, I reached out to the company via chat, and the rep confirmed that the customer does not have access to this information. Poor business practices. Especially now that I discovered that I have not received any credits from Ralphs over the year. I am not recommending anyone to use this service. I am going to try other grocery stores e.g. Sprouts. A little more pricey, but they are above board I heard from a friend. She never had issues with the delivery service.
I had made multiple covid antibodies test appointments and every one of them were canceled before I could get tested. Now, none of the Ralphs in my area are even accepting appointments, but still advertising that they offer the test. Please stop advertising a test that you can't perform. 2 stars because they did call to cancel my appointments. Now shopping elsewhere.
This was the second time I tried using the delivery service the first time it was just to difficult it seems I had stuff on a shopping list and stuff in my cart. I went to the store and did my shopping. I wasted two hours that day. This time I got all my items in my shopping cart. Because of Covid I wanted to use the delivery option. I tried to find out how to use the coupons mailed to me. Finally called the store & they told me I could not use them. I was not happy I wasted three hours on line. I will have to go into the store to shop so I can use my coupons. I cleared $147.00 worth of groceries from my cart. I'm glad I didn't go ahead with the purchase after reading the reviews
I love shopping at Ralphs. Their produce is always fresh. The cashiers are friendly. I only wish there were more in the Chino / Montclair ca area.
I used RALPHS delivery and only did I not receive everything I ordered,I was charged incorrectly. Receipts says 15 items. Even if I included the 10cent CA redemption charge, I was still shorted items I know I ordered. And then the math between the items I got and the subtotal didn’t match. I just spent $40 to learn a lesson. I am sharing it here for free. You are welcome.
Horrible customer service!!!!!
Ordered, set delivery time, went to track during delivery window, ORDER WAS CANCELED WITH NO EXPLANATION, NO EMAIL, NO PUSH NOTIFICATION, NOTHING. Tried to call. Customer service closed before my delivery window was even open. Bottom line.... No groceries, no communication, no help.
Good market. Friendly staff.
I tried to order food from Ralphs in Long Beach on 4th Street and after about 2 hrs of trying to find the stuff I need (47items) I was trying to checkout and it first said today in 2 hours delivery, the moment I confirmed I got an error that this delivery is no longer valid and pick a new time/date. The earliest is set for April 4th and that didn't even work the same error message. What a colossal waste of time. All Vons and all other Kroger stores have the same issues. Don't promise what you can't deliver!!! Edit: I was just at the store and asked about this and apparently the people delivering are on strike since they don't get any protective gear! How pathetic of this company!!!
