Richard - ID 5009 turned up to within a few seconds of the expected time given by the app. He got straight to work and identified the problem. Very professional and informative. He did not carry the battery i needed, but he got the vehicle started so i could drive to local garage.

Darren & his assistant came to my partners aid quicker than predicted after a faulty machine deflated two of her tyres. They were able to reflate them & reset on the dashboard. It was a hot day & she was stuck in Tesco Garage car park. Very good, friendly, swift service.

Samuel was polite, professional and managed a temporary repair. He balanced the cylinders so the car would run on 2, rather than 3 cylinders. One cylinder had been misfiring. He advised that we travel the backroads rather than the motorway. And to take the car to the garage to check spark plugs and coil pack, and to have the wet belt changed. We were on the M5 junction 17 and had to travel Barnsley. Samuel assured us that we'd be fine to, and the journey wouldn't harm the car. He also said that the car wouldn't go as fast as normal. We certainly weren't prepared for the horrendous journey home. The car was constantly slowing and then surging without warningβ οΈ . We put the hazards on when other traffic was on the roads to try to make them aware that we were having problems! Roundabouts were a nightmare to negotiate. The car was extremely sluggish moving from stationary to then suddenly speed up! In hindsight the safest option would have been to recover the car and us onward to home. The car is in the garage.

I wasn't feeling great because of the breakdown and was very stressed, but your patrol was helpful and friendly and by the time I got to the garage, I felt much less stressed.

Following a breakdown with our classic car around the Goodwod Festival of Speed, RAC Patrol Daniel (1580) used initiative, knowledge, skill and great customer service to get us moving again for the event. He was extremely helpful, informative and nothing was too much trouble despite the antisocial hour. Daniel deserves a 6-star review but we almost deleted one star for the clunkiness and unhelpul nature of the RAC's online call-out process.

Almost 3 hours out of my life that i can ill afford.I thought the mechanic was a incoherent idiot and at the end he knocked on the door to say he couldnt do the job because he had broken 2 tools trying to remove the oil filter .All the years ive had the car and all the annual regular servicing this has never happened. I had to phone around all the local garages to get my car serviced .Thanks RAC .I am now reviewing my membership to go back to theAA.

The recovery man was great and went off to get a battery for me so that I did not have to take a day off work the following day by ordering a battery to be fitted by another person. Grateful that he got me mobile again as the village has no public transport
