Very poor experience with qd shop in…

Very poor experience with qd shop in Basildon. I bought a box that ought to have 2 bowls but only 1 was in the box. I returned the box within the time frame for return (within 2 weeks) but was told it won't be accepted. What a horrible experience I had. I have never had such in any of the stores I have shopped in. If there was 0 star,that is what I would have rated it

This company is disgusting

This company is disgusting! Due to the really cold weather my neighbour who is 84 wanted something warm.so buy a top, £14.99 on the label it says one size fits all well it buried her! Way to big, so take it back.I explained and the manager of the Melton store Leicestershire said point blank you can’t have your money back! She said can give you a credit note. I was shocked! I emailed head office their response was you should have read the notice boards outside? I didn’t notice a board myself and he said I should have read the receipt it’s on that! Totally ridiculous how can you read a receipt before you buy the item? And when you buy the item stand in the queue for 10 minutes to read the small print! Ridiculous response. I couldn’t let my neighbour loose her money so gave it back to her it was only fare. Now I’m out off pocket and will take further steps to get my money back what this company has stole. Disgusting.

Avoid

Sent the wrong items. Never even bothered replying to my WebChat messages after sitting through their auto bot questions and answers for 10 mins. Gave up. Avoid.

No money back

That is simple. Since when in this modern world a shop is allowed to give credit back and not the money the customer paid for? .....that is why Amazon is the best in the world!!!! DO NOT BUY if thinking to return. They will not refund the money....just credit😅🤣

Think twice when spending your money at…

Think twice when spending your money at these stores there company policy is NO refunds given only credit note or replacement. They should have this policy clearly displayed above there entrance doors so people can decide either to spend there money, not on the back of the receipt ! after you've brought the item !. Discussed

Recently used QD for a special they had…

Recently used QD for a special they had on. Was delivered within 3 days. Alas wrong item but Daniel in customer services was brilliant. Replied same day. Arranged replacements and delivered again within 2 days. Still wrong item but Daniel arranged refund straight away. Excellent customer service there. Would use again.

QD Furniture Store Swaffham.

QD Furniture Store Swaffham. It's a rarity, these days, to come across such friendly, attentive, polite and helpful staff. The buying process was very easy with knowledgeable advice given. The items of furniture themselves were reasonably priced and made to a high standard. Delivery was quick and all items arrived securely packaged and in good order, apart from one item which arrived with a basket missing. I sent an email to the helpline with details and received a quick reply with information and details on contacting the store directly. The customer service from both stores in Swaffham was excellent with the problem resolved very quickly, with minimal fuss. It really was a 5 star experience, a pleasure to buy from. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Disappointed customer

After 4 weeks of wait for the shed I bought from them, I found out by chance they will never deliver my shed. I feel so angry and let down. They should never be in business. They never got in touch with me to let me know there were problems....Please, do not shop from them. They do not care about their customers.

All they want to do is keep your money

During this heatwave my partner attended QD in Newmarket where she purchased a pair of shorts and a fan for me in the garage. The cashier stated if the items were not suitable she would receive a full refund. The shorts did not fit correctly and when I saw the size of the fan it was to small for the area required. On returning the 2 items 2 days ago the cashier said we could have a refund on the shorts but not the fan I explained this was not what we were told on purchasing the items. I then had the pleasure of speaking with the lady manager to be told its "Company Policy" we intend to keep your money and issue a credit note for the fan item Despite what we were told on original purchase This manager was adamant and inferred we were the liars regarding this matter she was arrogant and completely un helpful Once the credit has been used we will NEVER return to this store - I would give 0 stars if possible - terrible customer services - Use Amazon or Argos --- AVOID QD Stores "No doubt a scripted reply will be added covering themselves and their actions" Rubbish

Merely asking for a spare part

Merely asking for a spare part. Been told no, go to manufacturer. I've tried to ring the manufacturer "Croft" cannot find the contact details online. Asked QD to supply, told me no. Yet they told me to contact the manufacturer themselves. Just need one roof bar that holds the curtain into place on my grey gazebo I purchased from you last August. Don't even mind paying for it, just need it. Really bad customer service. Feel free to send me their details or help in anyway. Order no 90528066. Email address should be on file. Ringing you no answer! Please resolve our at least provide me with the manufacturer details so I can ask. Poor service!

If I could give it no stars I would…

If I could give it no stars I would have. Avoid this shop!!! We have a parasol that has broken after a handful of uses, I have rang numerous times, emailed and spoken to their “online chat” and messaged on Facebook and no one has come back to me in regards helping to get a exchange or refund?? Avoid!! As if any problem with your item they don’t ever get back to you!!!!

The first time I used QD to order a gazebo for my garden. The price is great value as the gazebo is main frame is made from aluminium which means it won't rust over time, vert sturdy and looks great!

TERRIBLE COMPANY, NO REFUNDS

TERRIBLE COMPANY WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Beware that they do NOT do any refunds when bought in store. Fitting rooms closed so no option to try anything on, sizing very dubious too, Still won't refund.

Gazebobar

Bought a Gazebobar online from QD on advice of staff at local store member. Was delivered on day arranged but also taken back on same day? New arrangements made which were fine. Attempted to erect bar with poor instructions. When making up chairs both were damaged along with top cover. Eventually, replacements were sent but not a good experience in contacting QD by phone or online. Would never purchase from QD online ever again!

No help

Items I ordered never received and when I eventually got hold of customer service, they told me they had not received payment and could do no more to help. Payment had been taken from my account 2 weeks before this, so I’m unsure where this would have gone. Would not purchase from company again.

Bought Venetian wood slat blinds for my…

Bought Venetian wood slat blinds for my house 2 months ago, every blind was a different colour , they apologised collected and resent blinds , exactly the same blinds were resent , so eventually I have been told they can’t colour match the blinds so my bay windows would have 3 different colour blinds 😂, so another 2 weeks later and I’m still waiting for the blinds to be collected and refund sent , I was offered 10% off even tho I’ve spend 9 hours off work waiting for drop offs and pick up of blinds within a 3 hour delivery slot , absolute joke of a company

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered a Gazebo and two bags of compost from them. When checking out with paypal, it told me the delivery service was not available and then proceeded to charge a furtehr £35 for pallet delivery without authorisation. I immediately went to their website and banged my head against the wall with the chat robot trying to deal with this. It sent messages back to their HQ, including my request to simply cancel the order. I then received a dispatch notification for one of the items (when i had cancelled it). I have tried calling them three times and no answer - they arent taking calls. I have opened a Paypal case. if this is unsuccessful, I shall have no hesitation in taking this company to court. The worst experience I have ever experienced.

Joined their app sent me code for 10% off didn’t work then they gave me code for £5?off as birthday didn’t work can’t get to speak to anyone on live chat sent 2 emails no response and tried calling 3 times on phone over 15 mins no answer They might have good prices but wouldn’t trust them as their customer service is terrible

Good experience

We have been shopping at QD for years and I must say, we have never had a bad experience. Good mix of product and reasonable prices. Since QD took over the Podington Garden Centre, it is much more interesting to look around.
