Had to write a review!

Never/rarely leave reviews for websites but I often check trust pilot before ordering from a site I've never ordered from before. All the reviews weren't that great. However I've had completely the opposite experience. I ordered a set of 4 plastic boxes initially, before ordering a further 8 once I knew everything was okay. I received confirmation of my order extremely promptly. Not long after I received a DPD tracking e-mail ahead of it being dispatched. Then updates from both DPD and QDstores saying when it had been dispatched. Both times having ordered in the morning, I paid for express delivery and received the items the very next day. Exactly what you would expect to happen, however the reviews lead you to think otherwise. Very happy with the purchase and experience! Boxes are great and great value.

I had a bad experience i sent my son to…

I had a bad experience i sent my son to the bedford town qd to buy quick fix for car tyres because my wife wasnt feeling to well so i couldnt go my son was asked for id and didnt have any so they refused to sell it to him then he asked me to come so we went together to buy it but they refused to sell it to me as they said "your son tried to buy the quick fix so we cant sell it to you" nowhere on the bottle of quick fix did it say that you needed id or to be 18+ so i told my son to leave the store i took another bottle but they refused to sell it to me stating that i was going to buy it for my son my car tyre was flat and i couldnt drive the car since it would ruin the rims and tires i tried to talk to the supervisor but he was saying the same thing not helping me at all repeating "it doesnt matter i cant sell it to you" over and over stating that i was going to give it to my son i dont undersrand its not alcohol or cigaretes or anything that can cause harm its not even illegal, i dont understand thats literally the stupidest thing ever who thought of these dumb rules and who hires the stupid staff

What a load of rubbish

What a load of rubbish, I waited weeks for a parcel only to find they told me it had been delivered. It had not been delivered to me but somewhere else. Next they show me a photograph saying it had been delivered in the back garden. My back garden is always locked so no access. Next they said on the bins was number 7 which is my number. I said yes but they are not my bins not my garden. Next they send another picture where the courier had taken a grod reference where he had posted it Nowhere near my house. Now I am being investigated by the fraud squad and threatened that it could be a police matter. I have received another email to say I have to sign to say im not lying. Disgracefully and an insult to my intelligence will not be dealing with this firm again.

Garry at Oakham store is amazing

I would like to say what a massive massive asset Garry is to the Oakham store. He is so friendly and a real breath of fresh air to the store always so upbeat and so incredibly helpful. Dave and Alison are also very very nice and friendly. Please pass on my thanks and to their area Manager. Many thanks

I’ve tried all week to speak to someone…

I’ve tried all week to speak to someone or get some sort of reply from them. They don’t answer the phone, virtual assistant is rubbish, don’t respond to emails or messenger- the most appalling customer service I’ve ever experienced

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS

Ordered a gazebo 5 days ago. Heard absolutely nothing. If you try and call they just hang up before you get through to anyone. I have sent numerous emails and all been ignored. They have taken £300 and it is impossible to get through to them. They sent an email saying dispatched and conveniently the tracking link does not work. Absolutely disgusting service scamming people especially with the whole cost of living, people can not afford money to be taken. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!

No Customer service

Item delivered (parasol) turned out to be ex- showroom and had been re-packed with the wrong base components . Their customcare is non existent . Have not responded to a single communication, having followed all channels they state : No response toe-mails , do not answer calls and fail to call back . Help assistaent no use either , saying 'customer care ' willcontact us .

Deliver never came stay in all day waiting delivery was already 5 days late No custmer servise no responce Chased delivery all day friday Poor poor poor spend your time and money esle were Buy the way paid for delivery If i could i would cancal and buy from a other vendor

Seriously aweful customer service

Bought a water feature supposed to be weatherproof and less than a year later it’s formed loads of little holes and leaking have emailed to get help yet no one has replied still 2 weeks later, very unprofessional

False Avertisement

*Update 2* - Its now 23rd June, almost a month since I was promised replacement fixings by Daniel, and now he's stopped replying to my messages after I asked to speak to a manager. With no replies from QD, I found the contact number for their supplier who first said the fixings were dispatched twice. But then I called again today to be told the fixings never existed! Nothing was ever sent and QD stores have been made aware of this. I am furious! The decking is been collected by the supplier, Shire, next week and now I have to fight QD Stores for a full refund when I'm receiving no replies to my many emails and phonecalls. I'm giving it until Monday, if still no reply or refund, I'll be contacting Trading Standards for not only my refund but compensation for time wasted and emotional stress! *Update 1* - I received a reply from Daniel at QD Stores on 26th May via email to say he had contacted the supplier and they would send out the replacement fixings, I will receive them in 3 to 5 working days. It is now 11th June and still no fixings! Absolutely shocking, I've now lost the deposit I payed to have someone install this decking and I'm very close to reporting this company to Trading Standards. £470 for some planks of wood to clutter our garden for weeks making it unsafe for my toddler to play in his garden. *Original Review/Complaint* - I ordered a Shire Decking Kit 3.6m x 3.6m from this store that was described as having all fixings and screws included (I've emailed a screenshot), however it has arrived today and there are no fixings included. Had this not been falsely advertised, I could have bought the same kit cheaper elsewhere with a sooner delivery date. I now have people coming to build this for me on Saturday with the understanding that the fixings required are all included, but they are not. I have tried calling the customer service team but conveniently, the lines are down for maintenance. I've sent an email but judging by other reviews I'm not hopeful I'll get a reply. I'd like them to either send me the screws that are advertised or give me a partial refund to buy them myself and also advise me what size is needed as the instructions do not say. I will update this review if I get a reply and the matter is resolved.

Delivery of my gazebo was confirmed 5th…

Delivery of my gazebo was confirmed Friday 5th May between 12-1pm. I was on my doorstep and watched the delivery driver arrive in my cul de sac at 12.55am. He drove in turned the van around and drove straight out again. No parcel delivered. Got conflicting emails from QD after my complaint, it would definitely arrive that day. Got another email at 8.20pm. Parcel WILL be delivered that evening. Gave up waiting at 10.30pm and went to bed. Checked tracking information, now being delivered Tues 9th May! Next morning, Saturday, another message from QD. Sorry we missed you, implying I wasn't here. Parcel will be delivered today Saturday 6th May between 12-1pm. I did get my gazebo, finally. What an absolute dreadful courier service. Right Hand don't know what the left hand is doing. Would I use thiem again.... DEFINITELY NOT.

Rubbish

My mum brought a piece of furniture it was damaged. Originally priced at £399.00 Now £199...But my mum thought it was just this piece of furniture because it was badly damaged and reduced to £199.00 to reflect this ...But they where all priced at £199.00.So I'm after some money of I've emailed and messaged them and heard nothing . Bloody disgusting.... Edit.Got reply said to contact shop who said contact customer services. Bloke there basically said tough luck ....Won't be doing anything. My mum cried ... QD should be ashamed. Mum won't ever shop there again. And nor will her MANY friends....

Company policy does not override an Act of Parliament

QD Aylesbury need to understand that their store policy does not override an Act of Parliament, The Consumer rights Act 2015. After returning faulty lights we were advised that we could NOT have a refund, but we could have a credit note. The store manager was adamant that their policy overrides an Act of Parliament, I pulled up the document, showed him the section covering the consumer rights with respect to goods which were sold, but not fit for purpose as they were faulty. He then went and made a call to someone, and came back with as a gesture of goodwill we will give you the refund. I advised that it is not a gesture of goodwill it is what is required by the Consumer rights act. Further investigation into QD policy it clearly states that we can have a full refund. So what is going on. I suggest QD review their policy and bring it in line with the consumer rights act and train their managers. I will be reporting this to trading standards. QD are not above an Act of Parliament Following on from your reply, you need to remove from the back of your receipts the comment that you can have an exchange or a credit note. This is what your store manager was standing behind. The correct statement should read faulty goods can be exchanged like for like or a full refund. I await your comment and confirmation that this will be reviewed.

An experience in what good for ones health.

I think more of the staff and no they can do better than this, the night staff work hard and the day in some ways the same BUT today the day staff did not at the tills do there job I wanted to get wallpaper and they do not do the range that is needed there meant to click and collect and help the customer to make a sale nothing but did get my lead spray paint to cover my kitchen chairs <1960s thank you .

The 19/03/2023 was my first time at…

The 19/03/2023 was my first time at this store,(BEDFORD) very disappointed that I received a parking ticket of 100.00 reduced if paid within 2 weeks, this was in spite of a STAFF member telling me that they do FREE PARKING as they were losing customers, I am a pensioner and this ticket was heart breaking for me and this means I cannot do a shopping because I had to pay the fine, I advise anyone not to listen to staff who say that it is free parking, there were NO payment machines so I took the staff members advice. so sad that this happened and I will never go to QD ever again... QD should be ashamed for lying to me and pay the ticket. I have just read reviews on good old Trustpilot... There are MORE NEGATIVES than positives, Staff lie, WHY and how many people do they say the same thing too... Disgusting company.

!!!!!SCAMMERS!!!!

!!!!!SCAMMERS!!!!! Don't believe the offers that QD stores advertise. They advertise multi buy offers and when you attempt to purchase them they inform you that that offer was for old stock and no longer running. Would never shop there again. !!!!!RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!!!
