Following my previous review, I have received an unacceptable reply from ABTA. I am under the impression that P&O are literally unable to read, your reply states that you satisfactorily settled my complaint in April, yes, you settles that complaint, my complaint with ABTA was for the second complaint where P&O had oversold the cruise and were unable to fulfil my contracted booking of a suite of grade B6 or higher, you contacted me 72 hours before departure to advise YOU had oversold, so the ship could sail full, I had 2 options accept a downgrade or cancel!!! As my luggage had been collected and was already in Southampton, i was forced to accept the DOWNGRADE, but I confirmed at the time I was NOT happy, I confirmed AFTER I was NOT happy and im telling you now I am NOT happy, YOU were in BREACH OF CONTRACT.....

Mediterranean Cruise P&O

Just returned from 14 nights in the Mediterranean on Britannia. The whole cruise was amazing from start to finish. The entertainment, restaurants, speciality restaurants, cabin staff, crew, were all brilliant in what they did. Special mention to the entertainment guys in the Headliners show. Their work ethic was incredible, such energy! We’re off again soon to the Canaries with P&O and we can’t wait 😀

Fantastic!

Me, my fiancée and 6 month old son went on the fabulous 7 night Norwegian Fjords cruise. We were going to go on the same one around September time last year, but I was pregnant and fell into the bracket of too many weeks pregnant to not being able to cruise. Luckily, P&O Cruises customer services gave us back our deposit which we did not expect, they were also so friendly and helpful. With our 6 month old son joining us in the end, we had an amazing time and wished it was wayyyyyy longer. Our son kept smiling at everyone, especially in the lifts haha, the staff and other guests would say ‘Hi’ and talk to us, he was the main star of the show! We only did one excursion as we weren’t too sure which ones were baby friendly with opportunities to breastfeed and if he would get upset during the experience, we did do one in Olden to the Briksdal Glacier, that was truly an experience to remember, we did the walk up to the glacier with a heavy pram whilst our boy was fast asleep the whole way up, it nearly killed us up the steep hills but we survived and it was worth the effort, staff were lovely and knowledgeable on this excursion. Overall the cruise ship was beautiful, we especially loved the Crows Nest lounge/bar, Sindhu (recommend the lobster tail curry dish) and the glass house restaurant for its trio mains/desserts. We had a balcony cabin which we definitely recommend, the staff were fantastic and accommodating, just a 5 🌟 experience!

My first ever cruise at 67

My first ever cruise at 67. I always said I would " rather stick pins in my eyes ". At long last my wife got her way and Iam so happy she did. The Iona is a great ship. Slight downside is that it felt like being in the Trafford Centre but on the whole it was a great experience. I framed it in my mind as being a floating 5 star hotel with a different view every day. My wife booked a Mini Conservatory suite which was lovely with a few added nice touches. The staff are amazing and evrything works on board. I think I'm hooked

Enjoyable break, underwhelmed with cruise and Norway.

Enjoyable break. A bit underwhelmed. Ship good but enormous, crew good and hardworking, cabin good. Food disappointing. Everything is reheated and nothing is fresh. Lots of queues and felt crammed. P&O are trying to maximise the money they take from you at every opportunity. Shore trips are exorbitantly priced. Typically a x3 mark up. When you get off the ferry there are masses waiting to rip you off too. There was meant to be 4 port visits. One was cancelled due to high winds. No alternative plan just steam very slowly in the middle of the North Sea with nothing to look at. No additional activities on board. Additional charges for doing a spin class in the gym and ice creams and cakes. 1 week at sea and 24 hours on shore. Booking meals was a nightmare. Join a virtual queue with no idea when or if you are going to eat. On board entertainment all booked up, nowhere to sit at other than very late shows. Entertainment was not a good standard. Norway was good, but not spectacular, at least the bits I saw weren’t. I enjoyed the Bird’s Nest bar and the excellent service up there.

This was our first ever cruise

This was our first ever cruise — for both me and my partner — and overall we had a really lovely time sailing the Norwegian Fjords with P&O Cruises. When we first boarded, things did feel quite unorganised. The staff seemed unsure of what was going on and gave us the wrong information a few times, which was a bit frustrating. We also found that the table service from the bar staff was very slow, even when it wasn’t busy, and when they did eventually come over, the service wasn’t the best. That said, we absolutely loved the ship itself. We had a balcony cabin, which was so worth the extra money — it was amazing to sit out privately and watch the sea. The room was also very quiet; we couldn’t hear other guests in nearby rooms or even in the hallway, which made it really relaxing. We really enjoyed the food on board, especially as they catered well for vegetarians and vegans, and there was a good variety of places to eat. The free food options were great, and we also liked browsing the nice selection of shops on the ship. The stops in Norway were absolutely beautiful, and it was easy to get on and off the ship at each port. They made it clear how long we had at each stop, which helped us plan our days without stress. We booked a couple of shows during the cruise, but were quite disappointed when the one we were most looking forward to — a Take That musical — was moved and then cancelled last minute with no replacement, which was a shame. On a positive note, we did visit the cinema one evening which was a fun addition to the trip. We did end up paying £140 for WiFi so we could keep in touch with family and friends back home, especially since it was my birthday while we were away. Given we’d already paid over £2,000 for the cruise, we thought this was quite steep. In the end, we just bought it for me for the duration, and my partner used my phone when needed. Most of the staff were absolutely lovely. We especially want to give a shout out to Anthony and Vikum in the Coral restaurant — their service really stood out and made our dinners extra special. Overall, we’d rate this cruise 4 stars. There were a few hiccups along the way, but it was an amazing experience visiting different parts of Norway without having to worry about travel or accommodation. It was beautiful, relaxing, and something we’ll always remember.

Overall a very good holiday to the…

Overall a very good holiday to the Norwegian Fiords. We had several speciality dining experiences and evening entertainment booked, all were good and some excellent, service in Epicurean was slow with mismatched serving of main course, Limelight club was very good for food, singer and comedian, Sindhu was the most attentive to our needs and most diners thought it the best, Olive Grove was a bit of a disappointment in terms of selection, although well cooked. Our excursions were very enjoyable except with the rush to get anywhere which for guests with mobility issues was a real stretch and caused stress and discomfort. Ship is great Iona, with a much better standard if finish than other P&O ships we have been on.
