Ordered my dogs food on Sunday afternoon, it was delivered Monday morning, great service
Ordered my dogs food on Sunday morning and it arrived Monday midday.can't fault this company for their service and prices.highly recommend with family and friends and everyone will definitely be using again
Very poor customer service. It took a while to reject a prescription issued in Belfast claiming it was issued in Southern Ireland. When, after 3 more email it was admitted the prescription was valid they could not find an order while it is clearly showing in the account as pending. No money was refunded yet either. Not possible to contact by phone either. At the start of a call its stated the wait time was 25 minutes. 15 minutes into the call that changed to 35 minutes, which is when I hung up.
It was impossible to speak to anyone when my order came through incorrect. I ordered 40 tablets but the order said 1. I phoned up but was advised I would have to wait for 42 minutes to speak to someone. On line chat was closed at 11am in the morning. I was unable to alter my default billing address at all. It was all such a waste of my valuable time.
Never downloads the prescription about 6 out of 10 time and to complicated to add it
Generally ok but there are some niggles. Just a few tips for future customers. Note price advertised DOES NOT include VAT. If you have subscriptions each individual subscription operates system where if one of these is less than £49 then delivery charge of £3.99 slapped on. I got one refunded as sent out same day as other subscription orders. If they are out of stock and the order is then in stock so sent it has to be over £49 for postage to be free. Well worth looking at competitors such as Pets at Home for small items to click and collect as no fee. Eg Yu Move for senior cats. P@H £18 as advertised. PD online over £26 with vat and delay in sending ( so charged separately). In summary source expensive multiple items which will probably be cost effective despite addition of VAT. Look elsewhere for smaller items. I find it useful to have a two week back up supply to cover unforeseen out of stock issues with companies. It give me time to look elsewhere.
I have bought 4 trays of expensive dog food from this company and there has been damaged cans in each delivery. More fool me, I suppose. I should have stopped buying after the 2nd order came, but was seduced by the reasonable price.
Excellent service quick delivery highly recommended.
Previously have been efficient with orders and again sent out prescription correctly. However, I also ordered a chuck it ball thrower and wanted a short one so easier to pick in my bag - on delivery it said on the label for small dogs but this was not in the description online - customer service completely unhelpful saying it does say for small dogs when it clearly doesn't and therefore unsuitable for my dog. Will not be ordering again.
I ordered prescription medicine for my dog. I attached a recent vets prescription. Time passed and I received an email saying the prescription said multiple pages and they couldn’t process it till I sent the other page. There was nothing on the second page but I sent it anyway. I received confirmation of this and that my prescription would be processed. Weeks passed. I emailed to get an update. I got an email saying I needed to send the second page. I emailed and said I did. Got a reply saying my prescription was being processed. No specific date given. I feel like I’m going round in circles. What a shambles!!!
Never again. I’ve ordered in the past and it has been nice and straightforward. This time my order was listed as dispatched but never arrived. When I eventually got hold of someone at pet drugs online I was told that my order hasn’t infact been dispatched and they would look into it. By now I’m running seriously low on the specialist food my dog needs. Next I just get an email saying my order is cancelled and I will be refunded. Nearly a week later I’m still waiting for my refund.
Took 2 days trying to get through on the phone. Sent in the prescription with a note explaining that I was unable to get through and for them to give me a ring to take payment. I finally spoke to somebody today and the said no one in the prescription department had a phone and the order would just sit and wait until I rang to make payment. I explained how long it has taken to get through on the phone and I have seen other reviews who have had the same problem in the last month so isn’t an isolated incident Enough said will be using another company from now on
Hopeless customer service. Never answer phone calls and don't respond to emails.
I ordered medication . Scanned the vets prescription but they wont dispatch order as the prescription was upside down!! I ask you. Do they not have the common sense to print the prescription out . Or rotate it ! Unbelievable. I always find this company very unhelpful and very slow dispatch - I will use somebody else in future !
The password system is very dodgy for my account somehow. I even made a second account but there were problems with even a brand new account. I failed the human Rapto test before I even saw it! Consequently I wasted 30 mins and still no closer to drugs.
I had ordered our dog’s tablets well in advance to ensure he wouldn’t run out of his medication (he suffers from Cushing’s). I placed the order on a Tuesday, with delivery due by the following Monday. When the tablets hadn’t arrived by Monday, I checked my emails and found one in my Junk folder stating that the prescription was out of date. I hadn’t realised the vet had made a small error — while it was intended to be a 6-month prescription, an incorrect expiry date of just 2 months had been entered. I contacted the vet, who corrected the issue immediately, and then called Pet Drugs the following morning. I explained the situation and the urgency, as our dog would run out of his medication by Wednesday. The call handler was very helpful and arranged for the prescription to be expedited, bypassing the standard 24–48 hour verification process. Although the medication didn’t arrive by Wednesday, it was delivered first thing Thursday morning, so our dog only missed one dose. My only criticism is that, given this was a prescription medication, there should have been a clearer alert — such as a note on the order in my online account — and a follow-up phone call when no response was received to the email. Additionally, since the prescription clearly stated a 6-month duration and included a start date, the discrepancy in the expiry date should have been flagged and queried at the point of processing. Had I been made aware of the issue sooner, the delay — and the associated stress — could have been avoided entirely.
Diabolical company, DO NOT USE, second time I haven’t ordered from this company and have not received my dogs prescription. They do not send the prescriptions out on time. You pay extra to get a quick delivery, nothing turns up, you have to call the company again and again and they never pick up. On the phone to them again now, ordered the pills 7 days ago and they haven’t even done the prescription or sent out. Now I have to go back to the vets and get another prescription at a cost of £20.00 and more money on tablets at vets prices. DO NOT USE
Good quality products at competitive prices, on the whole I found the company reliable, even though a bit difficult to deal with sometimes.
The first time I used Pet Drugs on Line, I was pleased with the service. My vet had issued a multi- use prescription and this was returned to me for a second use, when I enclosed a sae. On this occasion I was informed they would not be able to return the prescription (even with a sae) but they could keep it on file for future use, if I was happy to do that. I replied immediately, on 7/7/25 that I was happy with the new arrangement but needed the dog meds ASAP. Although the online information states that meds are sent out within two working days, I did not receive my order until 21/07/25. Not only was my request not actioned on 7/7/25 but the same information was sent out again on 16/07/25. I was so disappointed in the lack of service I sent a firmly worded email by returning, asking for a reply that day. Suddenly there was a flurry of emails ‘congratulating’ me on the impending delivery. It took until today, 21/07/25, for a reply to my email of 5 days previous. Not signed, it just offered a brief apology for ‘the inconvenience’ - no mention of the poor dog who has gone without her meds for a week; no explanation why it took them so long to deliver; no apology for failing to meet their own delivery timeline. I hope this experience isn’t repeated the next time I try to use that prescription on line, otherwise I shall be asking for its prompt return, using the same sae I sent at the beginning of the month and was never returned!
Ordered some medications on the 6th July, it's currently still at 'order placed' Emailed about this and this has been ignored, attempted to contact customer services via live chat (constantly switched off) Tried to contact via telephone and was left with a 69 minute wait time. Unhappy especially considering spending £7 for expedited delivery
