Kaunas Airport Car Hire - Don’t Get Scammed! As tempting as it may be to go with the cheapest option offered by Panek or Greenmotion - Stop! Don’t let them steal your money! Take a few minutes to read customer reviews on these two firms first and then make an informed decision. I’m surprised that they have not been investigated and shut down for what can only be described as a scam. Greenmotion and Panek are both advertised on Skyscanner as Kaunas Airport car hire firms, but both are located just outside the airport perimeter, a 10-minute walk from the terminal. If you have booked your car using one of these firms and your flight is delayed, be warned - Panek and Greenmotion will only hold your reservation for 59 minutes. Regardless of providing your flight details at the time of booking, if you’re lucky, you will be given the following options: 1. Pay €100 to re-reserve the same car (this option is only sometimes available if the car you reserved is still available). 2. Pay for a new reservation at a much higher price, in addition to losing the originally paid fee. (A 7-day hire in December 2024 came to €360 when the original Skyscanner brokered price was €80). 3. Hire a car from a different firm. Having advised Panek that my flight details were provided at the time of booking, Panek claimed that due to data protection regulations, they are not passed the customer’s flight details by the broker. However, after discussing this matter with the broker, I have been assured that this information is not true. Brokers will always pass on the main driver’s details and flight information. Having checked, I advised Panek that I could make a new reservation for the same period with them for less than €100 using Skyscanner. Panek’s representative advised me that due to my holding a UK driver’s license, unless I also have an “International Driving Permit” (issued by the UK Post Office), I would be unable to collect the car if I book through a Skyscanner broker. However, if I purchased the car hire with them directly (at €360), the permit would not be required. The rep from Greenmotion interrupted, stating that they could provide a car for €450. Please be aware, if you hold a UK driver’s license, an international driving permit is not required to drive in the EU or EEA. This is confirmed in the small print on Panek’s terms and conditions and your car rental voucher. I’ve had similar experiences with Greenmotion, who happen to share the same customer service counter with Panek. The representatives of both firms at Kaunas Airport behave in the same way, and it comes across as if they are competing to see how much they can rip off customers with additional charges. In the 45 minutes it took me to try and resolve this matter, by my calculation, Panek and Greenmotion collectively charged clients an additional £600 in unexpected charges - all of which clients disputed but ended up paying. Having flown to Vilnius Airport and hired a car from Greenmotion, the same appears to apply there. These two firms are clearly badly managed from top down. In the end, I refused to pay Panek the additional charges. Instead, I asked a friend to give me a lift to my hotel, contacted my broker for a full refund, and asked them to rebook my car with Enterprise car rental. Enterprise was almost double the price (at €160 for 7 days), but their service was great, no hidden fees and located 2 minutes outside the airport terminal. If you’ve been scammed by Greenmotion or Panek, contact your broker to have them removed from their comparison site and get your money back. Write a review so others don’t make the same mistake and, most importantly, don’t fund their fraudulent activity - just use someone else.

Kiedy potrzebuję korzystam z usług wypożyczalni i jak do tej pory jestem zadowolona. Łatwa i szybka, rezerwacja, duży wybór i cena też dobra jak dla mnie.
Nie polecam, wypozyczaja pojazd ze sladami stluczki, pozniej sciagaja pieniadze z klientow mimo zdjec pojazdu ze sladami uszkodzen w momencie oddania go klientowi, Banda zlodzieji!!!

I rent a car with them from Krakow, they charged me 900 euro deposit to be refunded in 30 days. It never happened and it is impossible to be in contact with them via phone, emails, chats. That's a SCAM company
Besides terrible service, Panek charges you for damage that was present before pickup. I have read similar reviews, and I can confirm their fraudulent practices. Luckily I have a photo that shows that the minor damages were present already, and I won’t let myself be robbed by them. Panek doesn’t respond and there is zero transparency. Legal actions are required to make this company accountable.

Nie dajcie się zwieść niskiej cenie za wynajem auta bo potem będziecie okradani z kary kredytowej za coś czego nie zrobiliście. Firma PANEK wyceniła szkoda których nie zrobiłam na 6.000 PLN. Na szczęście miałam zdjęcia i zgłosiłam reklamacje w banku i w firmie PANEK. Bank od razu zareagował. Firma panek brak odzewu. Na szczęście bank ściągnął te pieniądze od PANEK z powrotem czekając na wyjaśnienia. Reklamacja moja została zaklasyfikowana do działu: Oszustwa i nieautoryzowane transfery. A nie autoryzywane przelewy to nic innego jak kradzież. ************ ENGLISH Do not be fooled by the low price for car rental because later you will be robbed of your credit card for something you did not do. PANEK company valued the damage which I did not do at 6,000 PLN. Fortunately, I had photos and filed a claim with the bank and PANEK. The bank responded immediately. The panek company no response. Fortunately, the bank took the money back from PANEK while waiting for an explanation. My complaint was classified in the section: Fraud and unauthorized transfers. And unauthorized transfers are nothing but theft.

I had a disappointing experience with this car rental company in Kraków. They charged me 850 PLN for interior and exterior cleaning, despite the car being used normally and returned in the same condition as when I picked it up. Additionally, the return report included stains in areas I never used and they even falsified the return time. As a long-time customer, I expected professionalism and fairness, but this situation revealed a lack of both. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values honest and transparent service.
PANEK do not honour the terms of their contract - DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. The rental conditions in the booking voucher clearly indicate that holders of UK drivers license DO NOT NEED TO HAVE the additional internationaL driving license. Yet, even after showing them the conditions that they agreed to, they refused to let me have the car that was prepaid and booked. Causing me a significant amount of inconvenience.

Presa l'auto all'aeroporto di Praga, alla riconsegna non c'era nessuno a controllare se ci fossero danni, tanto è vero che abbiamo lasciato le chiavi in una cassetta, con mio disappunto perché avevo paura che accadesse proprio quello che è accaduto! Purtroppo non potevamo fare diversamente, avremmo perso l'aereo. Il giorno dopo ci hanno scritto una mail dove contestavano un danno al cerchione di una ruota, dicendoci che avrebbero trattenuto la caparra. Il danno siamo certi di non averlo fatto noi! C'era o lo hanno fatto loro dopo la riconsegna???? Ho noleggiato più volte e in più stati auto, mai capitata una cosa del genere!!! Statene lontani sono dei DELINQUENTI!!!!!

Panek used to be great, but this summer they threatened to leave me (a lone woman) with a small child with no car, after failing to tell me they did not have the car I booked - I was picking up other children and needed boot space. No one answered their emergency breakdown line, they finally gave me another car and then would not provide documentation to my insurer for a claim. There customer service is now awful - NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.
Abbiamo affittato la macchina a Cracovia per due giorni, prezzo ottimo ( roba che dici faccio un affare), invece no, si sono presi 900 euro dalla carta di credito senza nemmeno motivare il perché. Azienda di truffatori statene alla larga.
