Review summary
Paisley Freight has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Booked a collection. Was given a 2 hour expected collection time. Was in my garage getting it ready for collection. They rung my doorbell and 60 seconds later left. It takes me that to walk from my garage. After speaking to paisley freight the supervisor is rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend
I recently sent two bikes with them via their courier partner. I couldn't believe the damage that was inflicted to both bikes on separate occasions. I seen photos of the damage and I must admit it was shocking. The bikes where properly packed up in bike boxes with internal wrapping for more protection. I have sent bikes in the past with no problems until now. Both of these bikes where practically brand new as well. One of the pictures it looked like the box had been run over by a lorry? That was bad enough but what was really terrible was the lack of support and negative responses from them about trying to resolve this or indeed make a farcical claim through their so called insurance, it looked liked you had a form to fill in that asked everything from you which wasn't really all that relevant in my mind? My feeling is that this was to put you off claiming (maximum £100)? Anyway shocking service from them recently and would never use them again.
The delivery process was fine and was completed smoothly (4 tyres).
I have only given 3 stars because (a) the company makes it impossible to contact them with queries (there is no phone number at all, and the enquiry I sent online was ignored), and (b) the packaging stipulation for tyres was Draconian given the fact these items are almost indestructible (it took a very long time to package the tyres).
I cannot speak more highly of Paisley and the experience we had of them. From the online interaction for booking a collection, to the tracking of both the box delivery and bike collection/redelivery, and the interaction with local partners over changes to the requirements, they were simply awesome!
Be very careful with this courier. I sent some alloy wheels and tyres with them. I wrapped the wheels in shrink wrap, covered the face of the wheel with cardboard, and wrote the address on them.
Paisley subcontracted to APC who lost two wheels for 48 hrs and delivered two on their own. The wrapping was missing entirely. When the additional two wheels did turn up, one had significant damage.
I contacted paisley who said that as I hadn’t followed their ridiculous packaging requirements to the letter (and they had ‘evidence’), they wouldn’t do a single thing about the fact the drivers hadn’t taken a jot of care of the wheels. They couldn’t care less and it was evident from other reviews that’s how they behave with everyone.
For wheels with tyres, they want them covered in bubble wrap and fully covered by cardboard, so boxed basically. Try finding 4x boxes that fit a 19” wheel and tyre for a reasonable price if at all!
Paisley know this and have written their T&Cs to avoid liability, despite the fact they advertise themselves as wheel couriers and offer fixed pricing on them.
Won’t ever use these or APC again.
I sent a consignment of two brand new car tyres on Tuesday 5th September, next day delivery.
A week later and the tyres have still not been delivered.
To make matters worse the consignment has become separated and one of the tyres is lost somewhere in a distribution Hub in Cannock.
And finally to add insult to injury Paisley Freight have stopped all communications.
Appalling customer service.
USE THESE COWBOYS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Absolutely appalling customer service. They mixed up 2 boxes and then refused to rectify their mistake with me then having to pay a further £90 to put things right. They deliberately have have no phone line’s so that you cannot speak to someone in person. Very rude and defiant email responses to the valid points I raised. Absolutely never again!!!
Used Paisley for posting an 18" alloy wheel with tyre. Super easy as they even have specific templates for exactly this sort of thing saving you from having to type in dimensions/weight.
The price was fair and the customer service very good.
Would use again for larger goods in the future.
