If I could give zero stars, trust me, I would this car company is probably one of the worst companies in America comes to service. They have no etiquette when it comes to business and taking care of customers they lie and try to blame customers for their deficiency, I rented the car to show up at the place just for the card not to be available in the associate. Try to blame me because I was late even though I was at the location before closed I called customer service to come to find out that she had lied to 24 hours to pick up your car not supposed to find a car and I’ll just tell you sorry you’re on a clock. That’s what this associate did then proceeded to call customer service And get an explanation why I did not have a car come to find out they did not have cars at that location for the entire day and the associate lied to me at the station they escalated my case to supposedly a regional manager to help me out and I never received a single call from any manager or any person Place companies like this eventually go out of business because they forget the customers are really what they fix their competency in terms of dealing with the public. I’ve only had one other customer service interaction that was worse than this, and that was with American Airlines where they lie to their customers to cover their ass like national car rental buyer beware looking through your history. It looks like they do not give a shit about their customers.

I placed an online booking through our corporate account on Thursday, 10th July. To my disappointment, I didn’t receive any communication until Saturday morning—only to be told that the vehicle I booked wasn’t available. This last-minute notice was frustrating enough, but what followed was completely unacceptable. The staff member who contacted me, claiming to be the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the call. She spoke over me repeatedly, wouldn’t allow me to explain my situation, and her tone was downright abusive. As a regular customer who has rented from various Enterprise branches for years, I was shocked by this behaviour. If this is the standard of customer service from someone in a managerial position, it raises serious questions about the training and leadership at this branch. A manager should be setting the tone for professionalism—not contributing to a toxic experience. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this branch in future. I highly recommend others do the same until clear improvements are made in customer service and communication.

Arnaque véhicule loué à Édimbourg pour…

Arnaque ,véhicule loué à Édimbourg pour 5 jours. Aucun souci pendant le séjour ni restitution (clés déposée dans une boîte aux lettres). Et , 15 jours après notre retour, on nous réclame 500£ pour une 1/2 coque de clé manquante. Clé qui nous a été remise en main propre dans cet état, 1/2 coque manquante et scotchée, mais que nous n’avions pas malheureusement pas signalé. Cela ne gênait pas le fonctionnement du véhicule et le loueur ne pouvait pas l’ignorer car la clé avait était “temporairement” réparée par ses soins avant nous l’être confiée. Désormais, ils nous signalent que le véhicule a été immobilisé pendant 5 jours à cause de cette 1/2 coque manquante et appliquent des frais de dossier et de réparation exorbitants. C’est notre bonne foi contre celle du loueur. Nous sommes loin, difficile de s’expliquer et la restitution s’est faite dans une boîte aux lettres. Nous sommes piégés par un système qui défend le loueur mais pas le locataire, avec des mises en demeure inadmissible pour une 1/2 coque de clé en plastique comme si nous étions des délinquants. Aucune possibilité de discuter sauf peut être maintenant en portant plainte pour abus avec notre assistance juridique. Donc il est indispensable de noter tout défaut même minime lors de la réception d’un véhicule. Les assurances des CB ne prennent pas en charge les dommages aux clés. Donc aucun recours possible. Encore un exemple des arnaques rencontrées avec des agences de location de véhicules.

Beware National Roadside Assistance. Pay for the roadside when you rent

The branch employees themselves, outstanding. National's Roadside assistance is awful. The big slogan is your safety is our priority yet they made me put a donut on the rental jacking up my back and having me drive through East Saint Louis on Hwy 70 going 40 mph with the hazard lights on. No one in E St Louis cares if you have an issue. Better get out of the way. Probably the most harrowing experience of my life. One of the 5 people I spoke to in Roadside even hung up on me because I told him I was not pulling over on that hwy and calling the police.

National Car rental (Malaga Airport

National Car rental (Malaga Airport, Spain) rented me a hybrid car without a charging cable. I fuelled it as agreed. When I returned the car without the cable (that I never got in the first place) they are charging me 200€. If you consider renting from them, make sure you film the car inside and out. All the hatches, glove box, spare tyre.. And even with that, you are powerless to prove against them.

Bad - But Also Good

A mixed experience today with National. I had hired a car for three days for business use from their Glasgow Airport branch. My plane from London was delayed, so I actually arrived at the hire desk an hour later than scheduled only to find that the hire car booked in advance was not yet ready. I was firstly offered a Nissan Juke which I rejected as this was a group lower than the Vauxhall Insignia (or similar) which I had booked and paid for. After hanging around for half an hour I was eventually provided with a literally brand-new Subaru 4 x 4 estate. The car was okay although a bit underpowered and not at all economical (25mpg). To be fair to National although things did not get off to a good start they emailed me later in the day acknowledging that I had had poor experience. They said they wished to resolve any complaint I had so I suggested that perhaps when I returned the car they would like to waive the cost of the fuel I would be using. This they agreed to do. As many businesses try to deflect complaints and not acknowledge when they have messed things up National’s attitude was quite a refreshing change and I would certainly consider using them again.

Excellent experience at National's Oxford branch

We rented from National Oxford branch. Charlie took great care with us, upgraded our vehicle, took the time to explain the workings of the various electronics before I left the site. The Mercedes was exceptional, new, clean, safe. Just what my family and I needed. And we all loved Charlie's "can do" attitude! Great experience and we will return.

I will never book here again!!

As a Travel Agent who as brought business to National, I would never use National Car Rental again. I called to make some changes on my corporate account and the reps were very rude. I had to be trasfers to 3 different departments none of them helped me. The last one actually hung up the phone after providing me wiht a number (847-440-7586) that doesnt even work anymore.

Agence Toulouse Blagnac A fuir!!!!! J'ai récupéré mon véhicule , un Renault Traffic noir, dans le noir, sous la pluie sans lampe chez National Toulouse aéroport. Ne voyant pas bien du tout dans ces conditions, je fais confiance à la femme qui me dit qu'il n'y a que 2 dommages. Le véhicule est resté dans des parkings sécurisés sans toits ni portiques tout au long de la location. Au moment de rendre le véhicule à Brest, la personne qui le récupère fonce voir le toit directement et y passe un moment. Elle trouve une grande rayure qui n'apparaissait soit disant pas dans leur historique. Elle me demande de signer le constat que je refuse car j'ai à ce moment l'impression de me faire flouser. Elle m'annonce 2500 euros de franchise ainsi qu'un supplément d'assurance de 350 euros que j'avais refusé de prendre à Toulouse. Elle m'envoie un email avec la confirmation des 2500 euros et je m'aperçois qu'ils me débitent 3850 euros sans me prévenir. De plus, ce fameux complément d'assurance qui était censé être du sans franchise selon la personne de Toulouse ne couvre finalement pas le toit ni les bas de caisses selon la personne de Brest... Donc pourquoi prendre ce complément??? Le Manager qui était censé me répondre a été comme par hasard promu en 2 jours de délai et une femme pas commode du tout me fait bien comprendre que je n'aurai jamais gain de cause et que c'est leur parole contre la mienne. Le Directeur régional ne prend pas la peine de me contacter et me répond par service interposé que je peux m'asseoir sur ma réclamation. Donc si vous voulez vous faire plumer en bonne et dû forme par des escrocs de haut vol, rendez vous chez National Toulouse Blagnac. Personnellement, en tant que professionnel du tourisme, je ne les proposerai plus à mes clients pour leur éviter de se transformer en vache à lait...

Agence CDG T2 E - Merci Mahdi Super expérience avec Madhi, de l'accueil jusqu'au retour du véhicule - qui prend le dessus sur le fait que nous n'avons pas eu la voiture que nous avions réservée (nous avons certes été surclassés mais c'était la capacité du coffre qui nous intéressait. Heureusement, tout est rentré !) Merci.

National Car-rentals: Service médiocre

National Car-rentals aurait pu me laisser prolonger le contrat de location, surtout que c'est ce que je demandais. Au lieu de cela, le véhicule m'a été arraché sans que je ne puisse même faire le plein de carburant. ça sentait clairement la magouille entre la personne qui m'a accueilli à l'aéroport CDG et son responsable.

National did not honor a reservation

I completed an online form to rent a car from National Car Rental in Cancun, Mexico. I later completed an advance online check-in, and I received an email confirming my rental two days before I arrived in Cancun. Upon arriving at the National Car Rental counter at the airport, I was told no car was available because I had not paid for it. At no time during my online check-in was there an option to pay for the rental. I ended up renting a car from a competitor, who indicated that National had run out of cars. My advice is to steer clear from National Car Rental.

Do not use National car rental car paid for in full plus deposit then got told not getting a car

Do not use National car rental . I paid for a minivan rental on Priceline . Went to pick it up at Omaha Epply airport had my 4 year old son with me. They asked for a card for $300.00 deposit I handed them my debit/Mastercard they took ran it for the $300.00 deposit. The money came out of my account then they said we cannot take this debit card kept my $300.00 and gave me no car /minivan 730 pm with my 4 year old son 50 miles from home had to wait an hour for a ride to show up . They said it would be 2 or 3 days to get my money returned to me . I needed the rental to make an 8.5 hour trip 2 states away to pick up my 6 year old step son . Once again they took my deposit car now fully paid for then denied me a vehicle and would not instantly return my Moira I could have I would have rated them a negative 100
