Four starts all of in cleanliness need some attention
Great experience, good value for money!
The ship is amazing! 2 of the pools are a good size & the entertainment is fabulous both in the theatres and around the ship. There is so much to do and experience on board and we enjoyed the shows and spa treatment. The food in the speciality restaurants is fabulous and the service there is much much better than in the complimentary dining areas.
Amazing ship, staff work so hard and are so friendly. Fantastic experience from start to finish
Very good cruise with MSC from Southampton round the Mediterranean for 14 nights, Elmer Bumatay is a bar waiter and was very helpful making sure we always was being served and had drinks, a credit to MSC for having these very friendly staff on board
The ship was stunning and staff were great. I found the charges for excursions to be reasonable however disliked that they charged you a lot of money to get off the ship and get a shuttle bus to the nearest city as the ship had docked in an industrial port which you could not walk off from. There was lots of additional expenses incurred which was not clear prior to boarding or booking.
Sort noise at night problems for customers. Don’t just say it’s the ship.
This was my first cruise, so I don’t have previous experiences to compare it with, but overall I was happy with my time on board and have shared this with family and friends. The onboard entertainment was enjoyable, although some of the acts felt a bit cheesy. I didn’t get to use certain facilities, like the sauna, which I would have loved to try, but I was under the impression that there was an additional charge until the end of the cruise. At two of the terminals, complimentary shuttle buses were available, which I later learned were actually organized by the city authorities rather than the cruise line. However, in Malaga, I paid £40 for a shuttle from the terminal to the city, which was arranged by MSC, and felt this was poor value. After that experience, I made sure to seek alternative transport options when going ashore. I’d also like to mention that our friends, who travelled from Glasgow to Southampton on another cruise line, were provided with a courtesy bus to the ship; it would be great if MSC could consider offering a similar service in the future.
The Yacht Club experience was beyond our expectations and is now the only way we would consider a future cruise.
MSC are a very good cruise line timings and agendas were kept rigidly and shore days were great, very clean ship no malfunctions on any level, the only fly in the ointment was where they say Adult only area they do not police T hi s rule and those who pay extra for their trip deserve some compliance lack of gluten free alternatives where an issue
An excellent cruise with exceptional rooms and choice of food and drinks. The staff make this ship what it is and I cannot thank them enough.
It was a mixed experience on the MSC Virtuosa. As a family with older teenagers, we felt the boat was great for younger families, but unfortunately there was also poor behaviour from some of the 1000+ children on board, particularly in the evenings/early hours - with parents nowhere to be seen. So if you’re not in this category this ship probably isn’t for you. There were some positives including the buffet food, housekeeping and entertainment, but the service in general was inconsistent as the boat lacked staff in busy areas/periods. Overall we gave it a 7 out of 10.
Great value and the food was good.
Great ship and staff our amazing.. very good value and a great holiday all round
The high standards have dropped considerably on the Virtusa in the last 12 months from a 5 star cruise to a 2 star . It’s our 4th cruise in 12 months on the Virtusa. To be honest I don’t know if we will be back until things change. It’s such a beautiful ship I’m sorry
The ship seemed overcrowded and very noisy, not enough sunbeds and even if there were there's no deck space, cabins are dimly lit and far too little storage for a 14 night stay. The buffet dining is an ordeal and can only be described as a cattle market. Would not consider another cruise on the Virtuosa.
Great ship with great staff and entertainment. Food lets the experience down
Decks not cleaned food the same almost every day . Kids only ate nuggets or pizza when they were there . Also clothes been soiled due to ash coming from boat funnel they did clean three garments but still have marks on them .
Wonderful restaurant staff, they were lively and lovely to be around.
