Mint is a quality service provider at a reasonable price. It also offers some excellent phone deals. What's not to like about that?!

When they sell you, everything sounds great. I wish I had seen these previous reviews first. On 7/29, Mint Mobile charged my card $802.94. This was to cover a Samsung S25 and a year of service. As I a... See more

Best service in the price
A phone for Canadian snowbirds makes it easy to use on both sides of the border. Only wish that my Canadian friends could purchase a package on the Canadian side with Canadian phone numbers instead of having a USA number. Try advertising the the Canadian Snowbirds Magazine. I also like that you can talk to a real person anytime you need help.
I am delighted with my decision to change to Mint Mobile. I have not seen any loss of services but my bill is a fraction of what I paid my previous provider.
I need only 1 month but have to book min 3 months. Also really expensive. I will pay for 2 months even tho i wont use.
no data alarm until 80% of usage, no possibility to transfer number form Mint to mint which is absurd
Good soup. 👍🏼
Like the cost and convenience. In certain areas the service doesn't work and that can be aggravating. But it is inexpensive so can't complain too much.
If I could mark 0 stars I would. I purchased Mint Mobile on a deal. I took one day to test the service which worked well, so I ported my number in. Once my number ported in, my cell could no longer make or receive calls saying that my account was not paid which it was when I signed up. First they said it was my phone which I had purchased full price directly from Samsung unlocked. Believing in transfer something happened I contacted Samsung who confirmed my phone was good. Next they said it was eSIM. Tried 2 different none worked. Next they said it was APN, changed settings twice nothing. Next it was I needed a network reset which did nothing. Then randomly I was charged again for another six months of service when it still isnt working and it has been 3 days of nonworking service. All in all, I was without voice service for four days prior to porting out to a new service. The cost of time alone on with customer service, who never helped, was enough to pay for a year's worth of service at a premium price. Unless you have no other options, do not use Mint! If you do, I hope you do not have an issue and need customer service help.
An Update: I just wanted to follow up and confirm that my issue regarding the referral credit has been fully resolved. I received the full credit as originally promised. Mint refused to honor its referral promotion after confirming eligibility. Support repeatedly promised resolution but failed to follow through. Even my existing credits were lost due to their mishandling of an accidental renewal.
I purchased my iphone 11 pro almost 5 years ago now from the apple store UNLOCKED. I checked to verify it was unlocked when buying it and it was. I then signed up with mint and they've been the only provider I've had since getting the phone. Now, after numerous hiccups with Mint, I'm trying to switch carriers and my phone is saying "SIM Locked" so I can't use my new eSIM from the new carrier. I've contacted mint multiple times, have had hours of long convos, and also apple support with no solution. The VAs at mint keep telling me the same scripted response "we don't lock phones if not bought from mint" which isn't true, because it was unlocked when I bought it and I had also traveled internationally at one point and was able to use an international SIM just fine because it was unlocked and then inserted my Mint sim card when i got back to the states just fine. My phone also wouldn't have been able to work with mint in the first place if it was locked. Then after some time, i decided to travel again and it said my phone was locked which forced me to buy mint's international plan which was really annoying and expensive since i didnt have any other option at the time. Now I'm being forced to switch carriers because Mint canceled my account (I pay $200 each year for a prepaid plan, i renewed this in april and then they cut my service and wouldnt help or refund my $200 so I bought another $200 plan in May and asked for a refund of the first $200 charge, they didnt refund it and so I disputed one of those $200 charges with my bank and now they wrongfully canceled my account even after explaining that I was charged twice for the same service). So now im being forced to switch but i cant even use the new provider's service because mint wrongfully locked my phone and is denying it. Apple is also saying that mint locked it. Anyone know how to fix this??? I heard you need to threaten them with contacting the FCC in order for them to do anything which is crazy and is making me like the company even less EDIT: Now I've received the same generic response that every other negative review has gotten from Mint saying to contact their CS which is useless and they don't do anything and I've had multiple calls with them already explaining this and they do nothing!!
First what I like, 1. $$ for my needs I pay in advance and the price remained the same year over year (at least this first renewal). 2. International connectivity, the additional connectivity with the hassle of an eSIM or hard sim for the country I am in for a reasonable price I think like $20 for 2 weeks or a month is totally worth it 3. Customer service, I am a senior, having used customer service only 2x. I did get a state side person that spoke clearly and solved my issue without much difficulty. The first time was admittedly easier than the second. What I don’t like: 1. US Coverage - still sucks I must LTE and 3G. 5G just does not seem to work well. I have a lot of dead spots. Which is concerning considering Mint is on TMobile back one which touts best coverage (not worse just the same, in different locations) 2. Customer service seemed better before TMobile bought them (if you can’t beat them, buy them mentality, but it seem to lower the high quality service Ryan Reynolds touts). Come on, I am your grandma, I don’t use but nearly 5G of data monthly can’t we get good service and good prices for the last decade of our lives, Overall I will stick with it until $ increases.
Beware! Nightmare experience! Bought a new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra online via mint website. $1,060.I was shocked when the item arrived with old used, with holes, sealed tampered, with AT&T logo box! No manual! I’m not happy about the condition of the item received! Looks second hand or returned item! Worst phone customer service ! Waste of money, time and effort! Go somewhere else!
Efficiency. Clear about any inquiries or problems I encounter

What a garbage company. There is no way at all to communicate with any human when an issue comes up. Do you enjoy trying to send the same text message 18 times over the course of 3 hours because it keeps failing to send, even while connected to WIFI calling! What a junk company.
I have had Mint for 18 months, the last 2 months have been hideous. Unable to make any calls, work calls not coming through, calls continuously dropping, and texts not sending. Internet crappy. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF IT. When I called for assistance, they hung up on me. I prepaid for a year in June and I will be doing everything I can to get a refund as they are not upholding their end of the contract. Update: Useless reply from Mint. It's difficult to call WITHOUT CELL SERVICE. I wonder if it has anything to do with parent T-Mobile using Starlink?
I’ve been using Mint Mobile for a while now and I’m really happy with it overall. It fits my needs perfectly—I get exactly the amount of data and service I want without paying for extras I don’t need, and I love not having to stress about a surprise bill each month. The coverage and speeds have been solid for me, and the app makes it easy to manage my plan. It’s not perfect, but for the price and simplicity, it’s definitely worth a strong four stars!
Works perfectly!!!!!
I've only been with Mint for a few months, but coming from Verizon, the best compliment I have is that I forget I even switched. So the bang you get for you buck with mint is impressive so far.
