Keeping the prices reasonable

Mint is a quality service provider at a reasonable price. It also offers some excellent phone deals. What's not to like about that?!

When they sell you, everything sounds great. I wish I had seen these previous reviews first. On 7/29, Mint Mobile charged my card $802.94. This was to cover a Samsung S25 and a year of service. As I a... See more

I had three lines with Mint Mobile (myself and my two kids). To put us on one plan, Mint forces you into a “Mint Family” setup that also forces auto-renewal. There is no option to turn it off unless you leave the family plan. When I tried to cancel due to moving abroad, the only option Mint gave me was to cancel the "Mint Family," which removed my access to my kids’ accounts and even sent them texts saying they were responsible for their own plans—they are minors! I had to spend 1.5 hours on support chat just to figure out how to turn off auto-renewal (which I mostly had to figure out on my own because the information they gave was contradictory and didn't line up). I was forced to end the family plan, help my daughter cancel auto-renew through a text Mint sent HER, and dig deep into hidden settings to disable auto-renew on my own line. By contrast, enabling auto-renew is easy and front-and-center on the dashboard, but disabling it is deliberately buried. I also wanted to keep one child’s line active for just one more month (since he was joining us abroad later), but Mint offered no option for a one-month service — only longer auto-renewals. This is manipulative and unfair to customers. It should not take multiple steps, lost parental controls, and support intervention just to turn off auto-renew. The only reason this is 2 stars is because the service itself worked fine. Not as cheap as they let on in the ads, but it was good enough service. But ending it is time-consuming and so frustrating. All that said, the hassle of turning off auto-renew is reason enough for me to never use Mint again.
Good luck getting your service activated and number ported to Mint Mobile. I purchased 2 unlimited plans in May 2025 and was only able to activate one. For the second one, I made 20+ attempts via their website, mobile app and call center. On two separate occasions technical support tickets were opened with a promise I would be contacted and the issue resolved. I received no follow-up and my issue was never resolved. In my final attempt, after the call center rep could (once again) not resolve the issue, I indicated I would place an additional order if Mint Mobile agreed to cancel the line and issue a refund. I placed an order that day and activated service. But the refund never happened. When I called back for a status update, I was told there were no notes on my account regarding a refund and that the time limit has passed. In effect, I have paid for 3 lines and could only activate 2 of them due to technical issues on the part of Mint Mobile. They told me on two separate occasions they would refund one of the lines but never honored that promise. My advice – stay away from Mint Mobile. What I experienced was deceptive business practices. Mint Mobile told me whatever they thought I wanted to hear but did not deliver on their promises. My promise to Mint Mobile – when my one year of service is up, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Great customer service and coverage! Did I mention the price? ;-)
Awful Customer Service Tried to buy one of their phone + 2-year plan deals. Website wouldn't take any of 6 different payment methods between my partner and I. When I finally managed to complete the order, it was cancelled two days later by them. Spent 2h with customer service trying to figure it out only to be told that there's nothing they can do as the system won't accept payment. It's absolutely mental. It's like they want to see customers grovel for their product. Their prices are definitely not worth this type of service. So many carriers to choose from nowadays. Edit: Don't fall for their response rate here. They just copy-paste the same answer to everyone without actually dealing with issues. My review mentioned I spent 2h with their customer service, and their reply suggests I talk to customer service again. Clearly they didn't even read it.
I have very bad coverage at 30546 zip code. where I live I have to drive 1.5 miles to get a signal at all.
Great value and good network. Very happy
I am in my sixties, so have had cell service pretty much since the beginning. I am writing this review of MintMobile because I switched over years ago, maybe more than 5 years. I want to express my satisfaction because it is everything that Ryan Reynolds said it would be. I switched mainly for cost, and at first wondered what service sacrafices I would encounter to make up for a substantial savings. I waited and waited but never had a problem, not even once. I live in Los Angeles, and even when in Hawaii have never had a problem with service. I text and use apps more than voice calling, but really what does it matter? If I ever see the movie star I will simply tell him thanks for letting me know.
Exceeds expectation. Excellent service even in Italy. Service sign up is also simple, easy and best is the price!!! Please don’t change a thing.
Your people are not professional...I paid a week early for my renewal...and not only was my service halted ..I was placed on hold for close to one hour!
Problems connected with other end. When answer either dropped or can’t hear me and then they hang up on me.
When I signed up three months ago they told me the $15 a month would continue if I wanted it to that is a total complete lie now it's going up to $30 a month. I thought even the real issue my data has never worked when I'm not near Wi-Fi I spent hours on the phone with tech support nothing has been resolved. Also my phone reception which was perfect before I got to meet mobile is now sketchy at best many dropped calls!! Update.. I have changed plans and it was extremely difficult to cancel my mint mobile! This is by far the worst calling plan available and I would never ever suggest anyone sign up for it
Been loving it so far no complaints at all
Customer service difficult to understand If I’m paying that should automatically be family plan Coverage spotty
Internet or signal is very poor. It does not work in all areas.
Great serves with reliable cell service
Understanding about changing my plan and fast response most importantly.
In the time I’ve had mint mobile, I’ve never had an issue. Before this, I was paying $70/mo for an unlimited plan with T-Mobile even though I didn’t use that much data. So I gave Mint a with the 3 month introductory price ($15/mo for 3 months, $45) since they use T-Mobile towers and got a year of service prepaid after that. It was the easiest year of cell service I’ve ever had! Now I’m starting my 2nd full year with a 20gb plan ($279.21/yr with taxes and fees included) and it breaks down to $23.27/mo. I’m also starting to convert my friends and family too since they all couldn’t believe how much I was paying for a year of service.
I love the autopay feature and the cost every three months. I wish there was an option to "pay as you go" like maybe a "bucket" where you can slowly "prepay" for the month. Maybe there will come a day I can get the annual discount and pay for an entire year of service. I also am not fond of the cost of data add-ons but I understand this is a business and they have to make money somehow from the discounts on cell service they give.
Sometimes the service can be a bit inconsistent with coverage, but other than that I'm glad I switched to mint
