Dreadful

Since Bill Gates left the building this company has plummeted. Seriously thinking of going full-on Apple now with a combination of Android bottoming out too.

You need to have a technical support number live person to speak to people

They're not reachable they're Outlook doesn't work properly other issues very bad support extremely bad. Just because they don't have a telephone support email is useless

this organization has become a spam

this organization has become a spam. I hope SMEs can stay away from Microsoft. They charge recurring fees for the past many months. By hiding contact us information, they are able to charge recurring fees for months. And their authenticator app scam does not let you log in for one reason or the other.

Microsoft Outlook is the worst

I was simply trying to set up my business email through GoDaddy (another relic of a platform that feels stuck in 2008), and somehow ended up in a labyrinth of Microsoft Outlook nonsense that made everything 10x harder. Outlook forced me to download some mysterious "email validator" just to verify access — why is that even necessary in 2025? The QR code they gave me didn’t scan, the URL didn’t load, and the validation code failed repeatedly. It felt like a trap designed to waste time and test your patience. Meanwhile, GoDaddy’s own dashboard is just as bad — bloated, slow, and impossible to navigate unless you already know the exact path to follow. The integration between the two platforms is laughably bad. Zero intuitive flow, zero clear support, and every help doc just loops you in circles. These are billion-dollar companies delivering penny-level value. Avoid this combo at all costs. If you’re setting up email for your business, there are way better options out there that won’t make you feel like you're stuck in a time warp.

Microsoft’s Flawed Ecosystem: Frustrating Design and Poor User Experience

Painful software to deal with. Below is my experience with their most notirious software: Outlook:
Microsoft Outlook’s security features are overly restrictive, causing inefficiencies and wasting user time. The email platform lacks user-friendly functionality, making it frustrating to navigate and manage. Skype:
Skype’s account termination process is unnecessarily difficult, preventing users from easily closing their accounts. Privacy concerns arise due to its persistent data retention, leaving users feeling trapped and unsupported. Windows 10:
Windows 10 overwhelms users with frequent, intrusive updates and security alerts, disrupting workflows. One update displaced personal files and organization to prioritize new Windows apps, compromising user privacy and data integrity. OneNote:
OneNote excels in organization, allowing endless subfolders for research and writing, surpassing competitors like Evernote. However, its syncing is unreliable, with persistent errors across devices. Notebook management is cumbersome, requiring website access to rename or delete, and the search function is ineffective, lacking section-specific search capabilities. Microsoft Security:
Microsoft’s security protocols are excessively rigid, blocking email access from different locations, such as when traveling. This creates significant user frustration and highlights a lack of adaptability. Windows OS:
Windows is cluttered with confusing, poorly named files like “MSVCP100,” creating a chaotic user experience compared to Apple’s clean, intuitive OS. Running programs often triggers errors due to missing files, with no clear resolution path. The abundance of obscurely named files (e.g., “234iywekrjh382e”) confuses users and complicates troubleshooting. Customer support is nearly inaccessible, leaving users without assistance for critical issues like the “MSVCP100” error, which prevents program functionality. Microsoft’s products, while powerful, suffer from poor UX, inadequate support, and selfish design choices that prioritize system complexity over customer needs.

I expected better from the almighty Microsoft.

Their browser is decent, but the issues with creating an account or logging in are frustrating. I don't know what the team has done, but the system is awful. People have been experiencing problems logging in and syncing their accounts to portable devices for years, and the team hasn't addressed these major issues. When I visit the forum to report problems, it asks me to log in again and confirm my password. Google is my least favorite, but at least it doesn't continuously ask you to sign in or confirm your password like Microsoft does. The team needs to resolve this because it's a serious issue, and it's annoying.

43%/30% MS365 Subscription Increase

Why is no one speaking about the fleecing of the globe being perpetuated by this company? Their recent 43% rate increase for individual accounts and 30% increase on family accounts is obscene. Their reasoning for this seems to be the addition of Copilot. But frankly, who asked for that? What if you are not interested in that? The short answer is that Microsoft doesn't care because they couldn't sell it to the general public so now they are forcing it down everyone's throats whether we like it or not. Without care for families who are barely getting by to begin with or putting the additional burden on the individual user - which seems ridiculous. I am trying to figure out when we all push back? Or do we say nothing until the next increase that will happen next year. If you take the medicine once, they will serve it up again. Microsoft, you have been a staple for years but you are not too big to fail.
