Smaller size then advertised and poor devliver

Very misleading delivery dates on Material Market's website. Placed an order within the promised time for Friday delivery, but the earliest slot available was the following Tuesday. On that Tuesday, I had to call them, waiting 15 minutes, only to find out they wouldn't deliver until the next day. The decking boards I ordered turned out significantly smaller than advertised 125mmx32mm and received 115mm x 25mm and when I raised the issue, they blamed wood shrinkageβ€”an ten millimetre difference this is not wood shrinkage, Despite promises to check with their supplier, I've heard nothing, leaving me short on materials. Disappointing and unreliable service. I would stay well clear to avoid disappointment!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is a third party company and they change delivery day and supply all the time last minute. Hard to get hold of proper customer service and I bet they are not in the UK. They have no clue. This is not worth it.

Low prices, great service

Unbeatable prices, clear communications and everything delivered on time. Much better quality timber than you can buy in DIY stores. Everything I could have hoped for in a delivery of building materials.

AVOID THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY

AVOID THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY would give zero stars if I could!! I Ordered 58 sheets of plasterboard which arrived damaged. I contacted the builders merchant and was told they would re deliver the entire order. The board when left outside over the weekend in the packaging it was delivered in and it rained. I was then told that as the plasterboard was on my drive it’s my responsibility that it got wet and wouldn’t replace the entire order. Utter shambles and materials market are equally unhelpful now they have my money. Having been in the trade for 20years I thoughti would give this company a try. My advice would be Stick to using local builders merchants!! In response to their message below I informed materials market of the damage via email on the day of delivery I tried to inform them by phone but got fed up of being on hold for 40 minutes. Just confirms what this company is like effectively calling me a LIAR. Yes I had a 50% refund but this had to be organised by myself with the supplying builders merchant. Materials market were not interested in helping. They won’t be in business for long treating customers in this way .

Brilliant thank you

Everything came described as ordered. Didn't realise they put orders out to tender and the local builders merchant ends up delivery it. πŸ˜‚. It works though and I got the best price.

Avoid if you want good products and any form or customer service

Ordered timber, 14 lengths of the timber were split or badly warped. Tuesday, I called MM -told I would get a call back and new timber would be sent the next day. No call back Wednesday, called MM, told I would get a call back. No call back Thursday, called MM, told I would get a call back. No call back Friday, called MM, told I would get a call back. No call back Tuesday, emailed MM requesting refund. No reply Wednesday, called MM, requested refund, assured manager would have it resolved and new timber would be delivered. No call back,no email, no timber. Friday, not answering thier phone. I can't call it shocking customer service as it's non existent customer service. My project has been delayed and annual leave for myself and family members has been wasted. At this point I wish I had spent a small amount more and gone elsewhere. Still waiting for a refund.
