Happened 5th time in 2 years, No network and “threshold Limit reached”

Reference number 107557100 I had a family plan,removed a number for one month and 18th and 19th july tried to recharge it started giving error “threshold limit reached “ then on 20th July I added that number to same family again , received SMS about recharge but after that no network bars and sometimes SOS

Lyca failed to send me the QR code that…

Lyca failed to send me the QR code that I need to set up the eSIM on my phone. Nevertheless they claim the "plan activation" was successful. It was not successful for me. I have not received a usable eSIM.

SIM SWAP I ordered an ESIM little did I know I have to have a physical SIM

UPDATE 7/18/2025: after writing the previous review Lyca Mobile customer service did contact me. They offered me a refund for eSIM and informed me that I would have to purchase a physical SIM. They told me what I needed to do for a full refund. I did exactly as they asked and once again I have not heard anything. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I decided to buy the esim card for like $12.86 which includes unlimited talk, text and data. I assumed the esim would work in my phone but it is not compatible. Shame on me for not checking first. This does not excuse Lyca customer service from blowing me off completely. I have called the number several times both times I finally got through I was hung up on. LIA the chat bot can't help me so it pushes me through to wait on agent who never answers. Oh and it states I can email them too only to be ignored once again. So I sit here day #4 with no solution. Not even an almost solution. I guess what I'm saying is their customer service sucks and they are making me feel like I'm not even a customer of theirs.

Worst service I ported-in my fancy…

update: I've sent my phone num via link "add review details" and so far i'd to re-new twice just to keep my number active. Worst service I ported-in my fancy number and later I want to port out and asked to send email as it’s special number. And it’s more than a month still no pin/account number.

30 days e-sim never worked

I bought 30 days e-sim to my son, for his travel to the USA. He could not activate it, and customer service was not helpful. We ended up buying another e-sim. Also, no option for refund exits on their site. To sum up - a waste of time and money.

This is a terrible service

This is a terrible service. I can't believe the shady practices they engage in, some with no logical reason at all. 1. Their sim card LOCKS YOUR PHONE TO THEIR NETWORK even though they are supposed to be a T-Mobile MVNO. 2. The sim card activation is likely to initially fail and it's practically impossible to get through to a person to get it activated unless you have some other way to call them, and that's hard to get to s person, too. 3. They block "premium texts" which makes no sense. They allow you to RECEIVE text messages from short code numbers, but block you from A SENDING them. The customers CAN'T send "premium texts" because they don't have premium numbers. We are only trying to RESPOND to short code numbers to VERIFY ACCOUNTS AND DELIVERIES. Customers are trying to send just normal texts back to the premium number, but LM are blocking these so you can't opt-in to text notifications for ANYTHING. This includes local and Federal government numbers. There is absolutely NO REASON to be blocking these. They may not be able to OFFER "premium numbers" but that's not an excuse to block normal text messages to any number. 4. If you try to leave and keep your number they make you "verify" your last several phone calls. They told the FCC they don't keep any of the customers' phone information and law enforcement would have to go through T-Mobile to acquire any of that, so how are they using your last several phone calls to verify your number? The list goes on. I deeply regret giving them a try.

Although it was an extremely long wait time (40 mins) to reach a representative, i was extremely pleased with the knowledge, quick assistance and pleasantries from Abdelhamid of Morocco. I've been a Lycamobile customer for over 10+ years and will continue my loyalty due to the exceptional plans offered and customer service.

My lycamobile line suddenly stopped…

My lycamobile line suddenly stopped working on December 14th, 2024 and I tried to call, but it says "insufficient credit, please top up." Meanwhile, my line is on autopay which should ordinarily not generate this kind of issue. I tried to top up but it says "Invalid credentials. Please try again." I called 612 and the rep asked me to send an email. I have sent several emails and they keep responding to me that they have escalated my case. After 20 days, I still cannot make calls and my issue has not been resolved. The only rep that has settled down to listen to me is the last one I spoke to this evening. VERY FRUSTRATING. Meanwhile, I can receive calls, text messages and can even text to iPhones, when I am connected to Wi-Fi, but cannot make calls. If there was a zero star, I would have given that. Frustrated customer. I got a call from lycamobile UK but was not available to take the call because of the time difference. I am available to take calls now.
