It's great to have people take you from scratch and walk you through. Frederick did so much from the beginning with Theo coming in intermittently. Am particularly grateful to Vita who came on much later and eventually gave me the ultimate push which helped me enroll for and PASS my ISTQB. Learning People is a great team to anchor on.
Good service
I had only just finished one training out of supposed four when I did have a family crisis where we lost our unborn baby and almost lost my wife also but thankfully she survived the incident. This affected me not just mentally but financially also which led to me reaching out to Learning People about my inability to want to proceed and wanna opt out. Despite giving them the requested proof of documents required from me they did reject my request and that has made life even more complicated for me since then cause the supposed financial institution BUYLINE that was responsible for the instalment payment plan has made life miserable for me not only by making sure my credit score drop to the barest minimum but also with threats for not paying for service that I did not embark on. It is quite a whole lot to deal with and I had wished I never embarked on this with them in the first place.
Learning People made big promises about support, teacher assistance, and flexibility with course timelines, but it was all a lie. The courses are much harder than they make them out to be, and when you need help or ask for an extension to finish, you can’t get in touch with anyone. There’s no teacher help or guidance, and you’re completely on your own. They sell you a package that sounds great, but once they have your money, the support vanishes. If you’re expecting genuine help or flexibility, look elsewhere – Learning People does not deliver.

I started taking this course in October, When I had a job since then I have only have 1 Call to ask how I have been and that’s it no other help even though I was promised I would have a call every now and then to see how I was doing and I haven’t had one since! Not only that but I am no longer working and unable to pay for the course so I wanted to cancel it. I have contacted the team and they are REFUSING the cancellation, and my money will still be taken. I haven’t had any help, no one’s contacted me to ask if I’m doing well with my course Every time I call up student care I get told lines are too busy so I have to make an inquiry and then when I do no one is helping. Not only that but I have explained I am no longer working and not able to afford and yet you are still making me take a course I’m not longer interested in and able to afford. so now when I email buy line they are also refusing a cancellation until I get confirmation from learning people which they are also refusing.
I had the best experience with Learning People, in particular Alex Plummer. Considering I had some highs and lows due to personal reasons in 2023 and struggled to find my rhythm. However Alex was very reliable and supportive. The level of communication was perfect. I'm pleased to have passed all the exams without needing to do any resits. I will 100% recommend Learning People. Thank you for all the support so far!
At the time I signed up with Learning People, I was eager to get into coding—something I had wanted to do for years. My ultimate goal was to land a job in the coding field. I was aware that I had just 12 months to complete the course, so I started off strong and made good progress. However, midway through the course, I began encountering one roadblock after another—coding is challenging, after all. But I kept pushing forward. Unfortunately, at around 75% completion, I suffered a back injury at work that left me unable to do anything for two months. Sitting down at a desk was especially difficult. Once I recovered, I resumed the course and requested an extension due to the time I had lost. They assured me that when my 12-month period was up, I should get in touch, and they would arrange something. From 86% completion to the end, I admittedly just rushed through the material without fully learning it. I didn’t want to risk being let down or forced to pay more money. As a result, I managed to complete the course within the 12-month timeframe. I paid £3,500 for the front-end developer course through Learning People. They provided me access to Codecademy’s Front-End Engineer course, which I later discovered I could have accessed directly for only about £50 per month. Looking back, I feel scammed and extremely let down by Learning People. Another big issue was the promise of mentorship. They claimed they would assign me a mentor to guide me through the course and provide additional support. I did reach out to my mentor at one point, but it was disappointing—essentially just a voice on the other end telling me to keep going and not give up. Honestly, my family could have given me the same level of encouragement for free. It’s hard to justify paying nearly £3,000 for such superficial mentorship. What’s even more frustrating is that, after completing the course, the company has never followed up with me—not once. They’ve made no effort to check on my progress, ask if I needed help, or provide any guidance on job searches in the coding field. Now, I’m in my third year of learning to code. Despite the setbacks, I’m still committed to my journey. But knowing what I know now, I would strongly advise anyone considering Learning People to save their money. If you want to learn coding, go directly to platforms like Codecademy or other reputable resources. Don’t waste your hard-earned money on Learning People.
