We have just purchased a house using Karl Tatler Estate Agents. From the very beginning to the point of completion, they have been amazing. They were very professional and kept us up-to-date from the start to the end of the Sale. We would like to send a big Thank You to Karla Evans -Assistant Manager and Lucie Smith who was our Sales Progressor.

The Greasby Branch, right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing

The Greasby Branch was very poor to say the least. They showed all the wonderful statistics of how they are the best. As soon as I signed the agreement it all changes, sales executive it was given to (Jess) was useless and got one viewer for the time it was with them. Handed over at one stage to a young gentleman who managed to get two. Went in sit with Jess to see why it's not moving as we had put an offer on another property. She said its priced a bit high (was their evaluation not mine) so I lowered it. Had made the decision they price high as their fees are the highest on the wirral, went it to give them written notice of 14 days as per their contract. Offered Jess the letter she we don't need that will enter into system. So the first day we put it on the market with another estate agent we get a call from Noah saying we were in breach of contract, why you may ask? Jess had not entered anything on the system. I work a lot with companies on Voice of the customer (VOC) They simply don't understand it. Trying to send an email to Karl Tatler himself is some what difficult for obvious reasons, but I will find a way. Quite simple if want proper customer service don't use Karl Tatler

I'm still waiting for my deposit on my house I handed the keys in on the 14th day of the month and on the 22 day of the month I phoned Beth Ellis and she was very unprofessional towards me I wouldn't recommend them as estate agents and property letting agents advertising rental property with pictures which were at least 10 years old planting shrubs in the front and back garden knowingly years down the line they will be too big for the garden asking landlords permission to cut large shrubs down or conifers and saying no even at least 5 were cut down previously finding small faults cooker cleaned Β£100

Yes I would recommend Karl Tatler

Would recommend KT. The Wallasey team were very professional and communicative and kept us up to date throughout the process. Ours was a complicated process and there were some challenges along the way which were handled expertly by our Sales Progessor Sarah from the Heswall office who was outstanding. Thank you everyone

Would never use Karl Tatler to sell my house

Put my house up for sale with Karl Tatler as they were 'supposed' to be the best agent to sell with. Our personal experience was very poor customer service throughout & a severe lack of feedback. It was as though we were lucky to be with them & not the other way around. Constant phone calls from us trying to get updates. Feedback from viewers was they had difficulty securing a viewing ! I would never use Karl Tatler again as I feel they are existing off their previous reputation. We sold our house immediately after moving to another estate agent who gave a brilliant service.

Subtle Bullies

Initial meeting was okay - the woman was upbeat, affable and viewing the house went well. Everything thereafter was a battle, a chase, hard work, unsatisfactory, tiring and a bad experience. In the 12 month rental, my personal view is that Karl Tatler, although they bleet about being award winners (back in 2015 and 2016) they amount to little more than subtle bullies. They have little wisdom as to 'value' toward both landlord and tenant - they take on landlords/landladies who have not been vetted properly ... They do not fully understand or abide by Letting & Management Law. I will not use them ever again. My experience of renting a house through their agency was awful (and they bullied me), well, they tried to. Avoid these if you can. They may look all polished and top drawer but there are holes.

KT Wallasey branch

KT Wallasey branch assisted me extremely well from the start, with Hannah doing the valuation, market report, thoughts on sale price etc backed up very well by Jack and Pippa throughout the viewings, queries through to completion today. Very ably co ordinated by Di the sales progressor pulling all the strings, controls and liaison between the buyers, both solicitors and myself. This wasn't an easy process as my late Aunt's property was in Wallasey and I live in Surrey. All in all a very good experience, efficient and professional Highly recommended

Five stars to Wendy at the Heswall Branch

We have been dealing with Wendy at the Heswall branch. The sale has been very stressful but Wendy has been fantatsic and kept intouch to let us know what was going on throughout, she was happy to answer any questions we had and was so lovely to deal with!

Bad experience

I was encouraged to use Karl Tatler for my sale as they were the master agent on the new build I was purchasing. Initial marketing and number of viewings good. They found a buyer who was presented as non dependent with funds in place 18k below asking price and I had already reduced by 20k however given his preferential position I accepted subject to a quick sale. Long story short he wasn’t qualified correctly he did indeed have a related sale and no deposit funds it took 5 months of me & my solicitor desperately chasing and trying to get updates, the sales progressor allocated to my case only worked 3 days and had no control at all was unable to get updates from the buyer or his solicitor and refused to answer my emails (93 sent 10 replies throughout process) I ended up missing 2 completion dates due to an ever changing scenario with my buyer which constantly contradicted what I had been told and incurring an additional 6k of costs throughout the process leaving me and my family out of pocket and stressed, not the service I had expected or worth the large commission. I did raise a complaint and was told they have been overstretched, however I am in the industry and the difference is we have gone above and beyond for our clients, stayed late, worked through lunches to ensure standards remained high. The progression team are ineffective, antiquated and unaccountable, save yourself the misery of having to beg people to do their job & sell on line. Had it not been for my solicitor going above and beyond I have no doubt the sale would still be ongoing or would of collapsed.

Sellers beware

This is for the Wallasey branch. I am a strong buyer with a great financial position and no chain. As a buyer I found it extremely difficult to get a Saturday viewing without having to wait 2-3 weeks. In the week was fine but I work Mon-Fri so this was not convenient. Service was average at best with some people only working a few days a week and clearly not communicating internally. I Found Pippa to be a little rude and unhelpful, at times, Jenny was wonderful and Jack and Noah were friendly and efficient. It will make no difference to them, but quite simply I will not be looking at any property where they are the agent.

Absolutely outstanding service

Absolutely outstanding service. This estate agent really does have it all sown up. A seamless journey through what is classed as one of the most stressful things you can do. Special thanks to Sue Dermott who has always been highly professional with a friendly personality. Lydia Harrison shone through from the moment the property went live through the viewings we had she was able to secure a great price and keep us updated at all times. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. Also Joanne in sales progression was super helpful and knowledgeable about the whole stage of the conveyancing process. Well done team Tatler!!
