Excellent value for money, communication and delivery. The driver had amazing skills and the pallet was placed exactly where I requested it go! Perfect.

Delivery was due on a Thursday - waited in all day. At 4pm i tried to call, took me an hour to speak to anyone - they promised to call me back. They didn’t. Tried for two hours to speak to them on Friday with no success. Sent two emails and filled in two web chat sessions. No response. Tried Saturday and they were closed. Spent an hour trying to get through on Monday when eventually someone sorted the issue and to be fair, sent my delivery on a same day courier.

I hired a compactor from HSS. On using the equipment it would run for around 20-30 seconds and then cut out. When I called HSS they're immediate response was to question my integrity. No apologies, no replacement equipment. I was forced to hire a second compactor from another company (Speedy - excellent customer service, cheaper and a working compactor). Also complained to HSS via email and still waiting for a response. Several days after the rental was due for collection I received a call asking when it could be picked up. The caller didn't even know that the compactor had been reported as faulty. I won't use HSS again.

Bought some railway sleepers, good product quickly delivered and a great price.

Told me it was in stock then emailed to say is not and will be delivered a week later. Then on the day of delivery rang up at 4 pm and told me it will have to wait til the next day. Useless.

Still not received my order. Emailed several times and no response. Avoid

Shocking customer service, happier to cancel the order rather than help the customer. Apparently I didn't understand and wasn't listening, nice to know. Order no. 25406440 if HSS want to listen to the call!!

Had many issues, but they have have since been resolved very quickly.

Awful company, I've had an account for a few years and I've had various hires in that time. Recently I've had two instances where equipment just hasn't shown up .. they don't contact me, they don't respond to phone calls or respond to emails. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Do not use them - go elsewhere to a company that has better service. Shocking

Arrived in Selco Guildford bang on closing time and said “Thank God I’ve made it!!” The guy behind the desk said “Sorry I’ve shut down the computer” To which I replied “You’re fu#*ing joking!!” With a big smile on his face he laughed and said “Yep, I’m joking!” Apart from Andre’s warped sense of humour (That I must admit everyone around including myself thought was hilarious” Andre’s service & efficiency was a massive breath of fresh air compared to the sh#t most of us have become used to nowadays. He wheeled my whaker plate out to my van, and without me asking lifted it by himself into the rear compartment. I twice offered Andre a tenner to buy himself a pint, but he adamantly refused! I honestly can’t thank Andre enough. PS. He found my driving license on the floor and returned it before I knew I had lost it 😂👍🏻🍺

Superb service from Nick @ Rayleigh. Hire the carpet cleaner which was superb. Didn't leave the carpets wet and did a great job. Nick was excellent and very professional

We hired for the first time. They did not arrive on time on the delivery day, wasting a few precious hours of work. They did not arrive on the agreed day of collection, once again causing me to stay at home and lose work. Very disappointing.

So far not good!! Customer service on phone is abissmal - you get through half an hour later and they dont have a clue. Booked whacker plate for today as weather will be ok, took time off work to use it for the first day of hire ( in all due to Easter- 5 days). Its 1215pm and still no whacker. Rang them up and they said they'd find out where/ when whacker is & delivery time, and contact back - that was an hour ago!! If they can't handle the amount of customers - they should dip into their resource pot and hire more people. On automated phone line, they claim they've won awards and customer service is of high importance to them.....really? Especially after reading some of these reviews and having our own annoying, unprofessional service - advise: think twice about using this company!!
