No school cakes or giant monster munch. Absolutely raging. Not acceptable. This place is terrible.

Very unhelpful regarding a delivery delayed with the courier Evri. Customer services send out generic responses and do not answer the questions given or seem to make any effort to help.
Awful ‘customer’ service. Wanted to purchase a sun lounger in store which was not in stock . Emailed customer services who were not able to check their ‘own’ stocks or telephone their ‘own’ stores to find the product absolutely useless! Zero customer service.
I also bought some solar lights two stake balloon lights 2 sets of hanging balloon solar lights lasted about 5 weeks then stopped working 1 stake light 1 set of hanging balloon lights All my other lights work
There was a very nice worker called Nav i had just come from a blood test and my coin couldn’t fit into the trolley and i couldn’t carry heavy items so when i asked her she gave me a trolley which made my whole trip easier
In Banbridge store today and bought a heavyweight item to the tills. Colleen at tills was exceptional. I couldn’t lift the item to the car and she came of the tills went outside and got a trolley. Came back in and put it in the trolley. Being a senior citizen I was delighted she helped me and made the whole purchasing experience a happy one. 11/10 for Colleen. Hope I spelt her name correctly😀
I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Karen H. at the Home Bargains store in West Drayton. She absolutely made my Saturday morning with her great sense of humour and warm, friendly attitude. Karen is a lovely lady who clearly enjoys her job and goes out of her way to brighten customers’ days. Her positive energy and fantastic customer service really stood out. It’s always a pleasure to be served by someone who brings a smile to your face—thank you, Karen!
GREAT PRICE
I ordered two solar garden lights. Received items in good time, but the one they sent me were faulty, they did not look new, scuffs marks and screw was missing. I emailed Home Bargains to inform them that the items I purchased from their website site are faulty. Received email asking me to elaborate and send proof of defective items. I did and I requested a refund. There was no invoice in the parcel, no label (nothing) I was constantly sending emails to get them back to the suppliers Home Bargains, Finally email from Home Bargains was sent to me with a label attached, which I then had to get it print off. I then sent a email to get a date when I knew that I would be at home. The date was agreed but I received a email Evri that they would not be coming to pick up the parcel but will come the following day (I took a day off work) Evri Courier did not turn up again. I have wasted my working day off, and 1 day annual leave. Defective goods still in my hallway, waiting to be removed from my home. Evri Tracking No: H00MUD0021013659 I am absolutely furious and disgusted with the service, I will never purchase anything online on Home Bargains Website. No contactable phone number, Customer Service non existent. Very unprofessional company
Since home bargains store opened in my area UB7 I prioritised to shop there so that no shops closes down. In the same place there was B&M store before and they closed. So I drive extra miles to buy items for the same price I buy from Aldi only to give them business. But I found a cashier in the store very rude. She gave me a dirty look when I smiled. Perhaps the black lady doesn’t like Asian. I almost finished packing, suddenly I wanted to check the ingredients of the crossant individually packed as I picked them for the first time. She arrogantly said “ customers waiting, hurry up” there was only one customer who was there for a price check. I politely apologised to both of them I said I had to check if it’s non alcoholic or vegetarian. The white customer assured me “ no problem” but the cashier kept on saying “ hurry up”.
A great selection of items at great prices and the staff in the South Bristol store could not be more helpful. They always have a smile and a 'hello' and there are a great many retailers that could learn from their example. They were incredibly kind to my 84 year old Mum and I can't thank you enough.
got some really great items from my local liverpool store and the staff are super at their jobs and really helpful
Waited ages for a fountain that wasn’t in stock. Scott at the Cumbernauld store said he would give me a call when one came in and sure enough I got a call yesterday afternoon to say one had just come in. Really pleased with it and Scott’s help! Thanks ever so much Scott - great customer service.
Need to train staff better to appreciate customers at Lochee store! No name badge worn by guy who was so unhelpful Didn’t get my £1 coin back from trolley He said the trolleys don’t belong to the store and would not give me my £1 coin Shocking!
Issue with my recent order, response from Home Bargains does not address the issue, and only just acknowledges it, see details below. This shows me they have a lack of customer service skills. My email to Home Bargains following issues with my order. I have two issues with regards to my latest order. First issue, I ordered 6 x Glade Sense & Spray Air Freshener Twin Refill 2x18ml - Frosted Floral Cherries, what I received was Glade Sense & Spray Air Freshener Twin Refill 2x18ml - Floral Cherries, yes, they are both floral cherries, however, they are a different fragrance. Frosted Floral Cherries fragrance is frosted cherries & blossom, with the woody notes of a winter wonderland forest. Floral Cherries fragrance has notes of cherry blossoms and sweet cherries. It’s not a massive difference, but noticeable. Second issue, my sweet products were placed directly on top of my fragrance product, which has never happened before, as the food products are usually placed in a sealed bag to prevent cross-contamination. This is basic food hygiene, not to place fragranced products directly with food stuff. The packers wouldn’t do that if they were shopping in a store for themselves, so this shouldn’t be done with products being sold to a customer. The packaging of the sweet products all smells strongly of the fragrance from the Bloo rim blocks. The sweet products are the Uncle Joe's Mint Balls 75g x2, Swizzels Drumstick Squashies 140g - Cherry Cola, Munchies Caramel & Biscuit Chocolate 87g. This has been my first bad experience with orders from Home Bargains, and hopefully will be my last. This is their reply. Thank you for your email. I am sorry to read of the problem you have experienced with your order. There are 2 different types of Evri return label we offer. Please see below. • To your local parcel store, a QR code and a return label will be sent to you via email. This can be scanned by the shop. • Collection from your delivery address, a return label will be sent to you and will need to be printed off and placed on the parcel ready for collection. If you would like the collection, please let us know what day is best to arrange this for? Please list all items from your order you are returning * Without this information we would be unable to arrange a collection.
Poor experience
Since semi retiring we have used Homebargains in South Shields a lot more to try and save a little money on shopping. Two weeks ago we spent almost £100 on food, garden items, and other bits and pieces. A week after our trip to Homebargains we received a £100 parking eye fine because we spent 10 minutes over the specified 90 minute parking limit. Although technically I should have seen the 90 minute signs displayed but the fact that Homebargains can stand by and watch there customers be fine £100 after spending a fortune in there shop is disgusting.
I’ve just been in the Maltby store in Rotherham and witnessed fantastic customer service from a young lady named Claire who was on the checkout. She was serving an elderly woman in front of me who seemed to be quite confused and was slowly lifting items out of her trolley. Claire asked if she would like help. The woman declined but said she had lost her friend. Claire called for the friend over the tannoy. The woman apologised for taking so long but Claire reassured her that it didn’t matter. After the woman had gone, I praised Claire on her attitude and helpfulness. She said she just treated people how she would like to be treated. Well said and well done! I hope the store appreciate what a good employee they have there.
I need to write this review to say what an absolute pleasure your gardener guy is. This guy knows everything about plants and gardening. So pleasant I asked for a garden trolley today without hesitation he went straight away for one. He is an absolute asset to your store.
Bought weed killer - it didn’t work - asked for a refund and they said no - I contacted customer service at HQ and they said they would “investigate but not tell me the outcome” this was my response to “ why didn’t you honour my statutory rights - they didn’t bother - worst con artists - and most plants never grow - a scam is when you buy something that is poor quality - they had an opportunity both at the store and HQ to put it right - waste of time shopping there - hence their 2.8 rating - find somewhere else to shop
