Hi Halfords, I recently had the pleasure of visiting you Perth branch (retail park in city) with a difficult request, (I know, they all are ;) 23years retail myself).
Had the chance to by a very good 2nd hand Trek Electric bycicle, but we have a Chevy Camaro, which lets face antics ALL the boxes.
Nevertheless we approached the counter and were taken to the cycle car racks, nothing! Then the young lady asked your cycle expert Jess, remember that name, she came out looked at the car, looked under the car (yes she did!) and then returned to the shop, coming back a few moments with a bike rack.
She then proceeded to fit the rack, advising all the way how to protect tge car, she was concerned about the plastic bumper but found a way around that too, then once again under the car with a pair of hook type clips (not part of the bike rack package) and attached them and the straps to show us exactly how to fit it to work for us!
At this point we were over the moon with Jess's customer focus and customer care,but no I hear you gasp too!
Removed the display model, then went and ordered us a new one AND, AND then went online on your site and found us a pair of hook clips to anchor the bottom part of the rack, ordered them all and we pi ked them up on the following Friday.
Can we just send a massive thanks to Jess in Perth Halfords, we have not come across that high level of customer service, customer care and determination to meet a customers needs in over 20 years.
That young lady needs to be given an award, she is not only a credit to the store, but a credit to Halfords, and lastly a credit to herself, for going over and above excellent customer care.
In an era were there is such negativity to the young working staff, she has proved them wrong.
Customer facing shop workers regularilly face the most annoying and rude customers, more than any other professionals staff (as I said I did 23 years) and deserve the respect of the public, Jess is a superstar in our opinion, thank you. Christopher and Julie Cowin
