    Great service & speedy fitting Sevenoaks

    Great service and speedy fitting from all staff at Sevenoaks halfords. Pipes my bike in to get the handlebar grips replaced and relieved formula 1 like speedy fitting service from Simon and Shannon and great service from Hannah so ended up buying a bike computer also. Very quick and expert fitting and service

    Bought instore roof bars and roof box…

    Bought instore roof bars and roof box £600, triple checked with the guy this is everything to fit on my car “yes that’s everything” Drive 40 minutes home as my local Halfords is small and not much in there. Find I’m missing the rubber feet. Call customer service and told they are online order only and it’s 5 day wait when I needed them for the weekend! Waste of money and time

    Disappointment & waste of time.

    Disappointment all round and a complete waste of time. Went to Halfords in Northwich with garndkids to buy scooters. They chose scooters to be told none in stock and we couldn't take the brand new scooters on display. Staff very helpful and tried to source elsewhere without success. Not the first time this has happened! Don't think I'll bother with Halfords again!!

    Very poor performance.

    It took 3 weeks to complete a bike freewheel repair and it was only after one of their roving engineers who was excellent by the way got involved that the repair was completed. Halfords supplier could not source the required part which I had to order on the recommendation of the engineer and supply to Halfords. You can only contact the individual stores by going through Halfords contact centre which in itself is particularly useless.

    Tyres

    I had 4 new tyres fitted today in Bridgwater onto my car, and was very impressed and happy with the service I received. He was very polite and respectful and did a great job. I forgot his name but believe it may have been callum.

    Gavin at the Evesham store was…

    Gavin at the Evesham store was absolutely brilliant. Lovely smile upon entry, quick to help me find license plate stickers and felt like it was an absolute breeze. 2005 customer service in 2025! Keep it up Gavin!

    Delivery issues

    I bought something online and it took way over the expected delivery time. I made contact and they said they would get it sorted. More days passed. I rang and asked to cancel the order as I bought the product, next day delivery from somewhere else. They said they will do that. Few days later the product still arrives. I ring and ask if I can just take it to a store to get a refund and they said no, DHL will be in touch to arrange collection. More days passed. I gave up and on the off chance took it in store and they refunded it no problem. 3 weeks of frustration. Just kept being given reference numbers but no email updates about what's going on.

    We popped into our local Christchurch…

    We popped into our local Christchurch branch as I was unable to pump up my front bike tyre above 20psi. Great service as soon as I explained my tyre was pumped up and I was advised it was the adapter. Which I purchased a new one for £2! Great service once again from the cycle team at Halfords Christchurch. Thank you

    Tried buying a bike online.

    Tried buying a bike online. Did everything and paid over £400 via PayPal. By the time I came back to the halfords site after PayPal my booking slot for Click and Collect had expired. Halfords had taken the money but said I had to book another collection time. I did so but then it wanted paying again. I rang Halfords customer services who said I will have to wait up to 72hrs to resolve the situation, My bank says the payment is pending, but no refund and I can't afford to buy again and wait for a refund - or get two bikes ! Don't time people out if you've taken their money and then ask them to pay again.

    Awful.

    Ordered a product online and collected as arranged, with on schedule delivery from their distribution hub to the shop, went to collect it at the counter, so far so good, two employees continued to chat about what they did the previous weekend, completely ignoring me, when one of them eventually and condescendingly asked what I wanted, I showed him my online reciept and said I had come to collect my order, he did'nt reply just walked to a nearby locker, brusquely asked my name, ignorantly saying "What's the name ?", no please or thank you whatsoever, put the item on the counter, turned his back and continued with his all important chat with the other employee which I had so annoyingly and thoughtlessly inturupted. Customer service skills an absolute ZERO. Ignorance skills a full ten out of ten. I have sixteen employees over three shops, If I had seen one of my employees treat a customer in such a disgusting manner he/she would have been sacked on the spot. A lesson to learn here, annoy enough customers, customers go elsewhere, they go elsewhere, no trade, shop closes, employees become unemployed, always remember that basic fact, happy customer footfall indirectly pays the employees wages, and I am one very unhappy customer which Halfords in Gloucester will never see me buying anything from anytime soon.

    No refund, no order and a missed oil change appointment. No resolution a week later

    My online order (placed on 4.06) didn't go through, but when i attempted to check out again, my money was gone. It has been a week now dealing with unprofessional customer service advisors who have no idea what they're doing. I missed an oil change PAID appointment cause it couldnt be cancelled less than 48hrs in advance, i never received what i purchased and i never got my money back. They even sent me to the store for a refund (on 6.06), so i took time off work to go there only be told that without a confirmation number (which i never got) nothing can be done. I wanted to purchase the oil and filter and pay AGAIN whilst waiting for the refund so at least i dont miss my appointment - no filters in stock at the store. I week, in which I have called more than 10 times no one got back to me with a resolution. No one cared that i lost money from my appointment, time off work, patience and nerves. Every time I called it was the same stupid excuse - the case has been escalated and you need to wait 72hrs. That was said to me on the 5th, 6th and again today (11th). When do you start counting the 72hrs?!

    HALFORDS fail to deliver Step by step here we go

    Step by step here we go. On Thursday 05/06/2025 at 6pm needed a part for my cycle a break caliper as wanted to ride at the weekend with friends and bike now broken cannot use ,my dilemma order via Amazon and get the part on Monday 09/06/2025 to late or order with HALFORDS as they had one in stock at my local store collect in an hour but £5.00 dearer it’s a no brainer go with HALFORDS collect in an hour use my bike for the weekend. So I order and pay online, told to wait for a text, no text but a phone at 7.20 pm from HALFORDS cannot find part in store sorry It may come in Saturday we get 2 Deliveries a day blah blah just wait for a text, it’s now Wednesday still no text gave them a ring they said sorry again Ha Ha, it may be in today, Still waiting for my text, the moral of the story is don’t use Halfords as this has happened before to me, use Amazon

    Halfords Battery Complaint.

    Halfords Battery Complaint. Battery purchased online on the 16th May 2025, from the website and arranged the collection of the battery from Brynmawr store the following day. Transaction Number : ------ Transaction ID: Customer Order Number: Came to fit the battery on the weekend of the 25th, to find the battery was “flat”. Returned the battery on the 26th of May, a till test by a member of staff using a battery tested read that the battery had 12amps in it, and that the store would need to “run some tests” and get back to me. On the 26th of May at 16-43 I received a call from a member of your team that went to voicemail saying that the battery is defective and I would need to come back and get a new battery. On attending the store on the 27th May, I was told that I could not change to a different battery of a different brand and that the store would replace like for like. I said I didn’t want another battery due to my experience with it, and the store refused. I made a call to the Halfords helpdesk that day to seek advice from a call handler, and was told that they would look into it and arrange a refund. 5 days later without hearing from anyone at Halfords I used the “Chat to an expert” explained the situation again, and I was promised that the complaint would be dealt with and I will hear from the “escalations” team within 48 hours. ON the 10th June I contacted the “Chat with an expert” again, after not hearing anything, went through everything again with the agent, and again I was told that I would hear from the escalations team within 48 hours, and I asked the agent should I attend the store with my paper and email receipt to arrange a refund and was told that I should wait to hear from the team. I attended the store this morning, 0915 on the 11th June with both versions of my receipts to arrange a refund, the staff on the till went out the back of the store and retrieved my battery and told me that I could not have a refund because the item was used, I explained that I have a voicemail saying that they called saying it was defective, and got the same response. I believe that the store staff have deliberately misled me, I believe that they have also changed the battery that they attempted to give me today that I refused, and I believe that the store staff have violated my consumer rights in relation to my refund. I would like Halfords to arrange a refund, I do not wish to return to the store, where your team members find every excuse to not refund my purchase. After speaking to an expert today - 11/06 and been told that they cant refund because of damage to the castings and case of the battery which I deny. There may be slight markings where the battery was installed. NEVER EVER AGAIN

    Do not use Halfords by Chadwell heath…

    Do not use Halfords by Chadwell heath station. They are a bunch of liars. Took my car for a service abd what told they could not do it as my head gasget has blown. I have driven hundreds of miles since, with no problems at all. No overheating no contaminants I'm the oil. No smoke from the exhaust. I also asked them to check my timing belt. They said it was all OK, it was there for about an hour I know they never even looked at it. Could they just not be bothered to do the work. Avoid this place. Would never use halfords again.

    Dangerous incompetents....Avoid!!!

    Took my car in for an aircon diagnostic and was told the valve needed replacing for which I was charged. Returned a couple of months later for the same issue and again the same valve was replaced. Yet again still warm a month later and return to be told a dye would need to be added to the system and I would need to run it for another MONTH so they could actually find the leak. Returned the car a month later to a very puzzled staff member who actually asked me "Oh, is it leaking again?" Well yes Einstein, did wonder what you put the dye in for ??? Called me to collect the car and surprise surprise they can't find the leak, it must be inside the cabin and "We don't do that", so all in all regassed a leaking system 3 times, light guesswork to diagnose the issue, and after all that with still no working aircon I am being refused a refund until I take my car to the main dealership to prove that it has a leak. Absolute shambles of a company employing dangerous incompetents. Avoid at all costs!!!

    Booked a bike service online but store too busy

    Booked a bike service online. Left work early to get there. Got to the store and find out that they aren't taking any orders as they are too busy. Then why does your website let me book in?! Website is centrally controlled apparently, but doesn't direct you to call the store to check availability beforehand. Total waste of my time.

    Waste of time trying to call

    After my local branch " Great Yarmouth closed, I am having problems replacing a broken TX27 socket. The issue is I was sold a black advanced set over 5 years ago and I can't find replacements in black, not only that I am expected to do all the chasing about see if I can find one. I was working on my son's car near Huntington when the socket broke, that local branch told me to contact Hereford, 200 miles away!! But even when you try to call the branch you end when some where that doesn't even appear to be in UK and they don't know what you are on about. I emailed Halfords via their website, to receive an automated reply saying this email address is no longer in use. I had a live chat with an advisor who raised a case, but because I don't have proof of purchase there is nothing that can be done. No wonder Halfords is going bust! What happens when they do go under, and they will, how Ami suppose to get my replacements then?

    Utterly useless company to deal with

    Utterly useless company to deal with! We wanted to buy a bicycle for our Grandaughter’s birthday, and saw one on the Halfords website that looked suitable. I wanted to call the local store to see if they had one in stock that we could go to look at (it’s at least a 1 hour journey there and back). Needless to say, what appeared to be the local phone number took me to a call centre in South Africa! They confirmed that the bike was not in stock, but could be ordered. Obviously, I said I didn’t want to order the bike, which might not be suitable, but to be able to look at it first. Consequently, I asked if they could put me through to the store. This they tried to do, but then told me the store was “not accepting calls at the present time”! What a joke! They do not deserve to be in business. By the way, this is not the first time I’ve had problems with Halfords. They used to be a very good store, but are now as useless as virtually every other useless store that has no interest in any sort of customer service.
