I will be honest and say that I don't think it was as good at Mercedes-Benz of Southport as previous times when under Inchcape ownership and we've had two cars serviced yearly there for 4 years now. Maybe they'd set the bar high previously, I don't know. Dropped car off fine and collected loan car fine. Collection of my car wasn't great. Arrived to collect my car at 12:55 and was told by the receptionist that someone would be with us shortly. It was 13:20 when I went back to the receptionist to ask if I could just be given my keys so I could leave. It was like no-one had been aware we were waiting. I'd already paid for the service online at. Someone then did come to see us soon after and we left. Staff were friendly enough as usual but seemed a little stretched by one or two customers with issues. The usual faces seemed to no longer be there, or maybe I just didn't see them that day.
Recently bought a Mercedes Cla from the Coventry dealership. Nice and friendly but really try and push the finance deals even when not needed.. They delivered the car which was great but other than that no real deals to be had here unless taking finance. The days of cash being king are sadly gone it seems.
Michael Hazeldine is a credit to Audi Stock , our experience was pleasant and smooth from finding a car to buying the car . Michael explain the process with care and compassion. I would hesitate to use Audi Stockport again .

Group 1 Volkswagen in Swindon were particularly helpful. In particular David Christian Torio Burgos who listened to our needs and requirements and found us the perfect fit. As a team they were flawless. Great comminication throughout and very friendly and professional.
Customer Service is second to none and makes the whole experience a pleasure. All staff I dealt with were polite, kind, considerate and gave all the time needed. Nothing was hurried and 2 members of staff spent a of of time at handover of the new car in making sure I was happy and knew my way around all the new 'buttons'. I was invited to return once I had got used to the car if I felt I needed any more help. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff I dealt with.
The staff were really helpful and professional in every aspect of the sale . Lola,s Knowledge of the vehicle is excellent and she is an asset to Mercedes. Communication before and after sales were exemplary.
We bought a car from the Hyde dealership just over a week ago and found the service to be outstanding. The sales person, Carl, was fantastic, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful answering the many questions we had. He was friendly, very professional and nothing was too much trouble, making the process easy. The price of the car was excellent when benchmarked with others of a similar age (5 months old). All in all an outstanding service that we would highly recommend. ... just have to add a huge thank you to Pete too (aka Alec) the dealership manager who was very helpful and provided a great customer experience - loved the banter!

Extremely disappointed with the aftercare of Cheshire Oaks. Purchased a used E63 outright for the sum of around 50k, a week after ownership the vehicle went into limp mode while on a uk holiday site and was absolutely stranded. When i had the vehicle recovered to the nearest mercedes dealership i was told, electrical wiring faults are not covered under warranty and repairs are at my own expense. Please bare this in mind if your looking to buy mercedes approved used as they do not disclose this. And can cost in the thousands to diagnose. Fortunately i was able to go to my regular local dealership and had the wire repair done within a day under warranty as a goodwill gesture. They also promised and told me the vehicle would be fully serviced prior to me leaving a deposit. However 2 years after ownership and a very small amount of millage i have had a very concerning noise coming from the engine bay, so it been put in under extended warranty. To be told the Cheshire Oaks Service department has installed 2 of the spark plugs hand tight! I'm now left with a £750 repair & diagnostics bill to rectify their mistake, Spark plugs do not come loose! Unless they have not been tightened to specification with the required torque. *Just to add this could of potentially destroyed the engine if dirt was to fall into the cylinder head/pistons i would of been left with a 25k repair bill for a replacment M177 E63 engine. I have been in contact with the service manager Demi who has been rude and just said its not them and will not be contributing to the repair cost, Then when i respond that records show the last service department to touch the spark plugs was them, along with forwarded information from the current technician working on my car, they just simply do not read what i have to say and paste their complaints email. Disgusting service. I certainly do not recommend using their service department. And if you have allready left a deposit or purchased a used car, get it checked by an alternative dealership as soon as possible!
My 10 year old 2 series BMW developed a major fault due to a fuel leak which required a new turbo, a new wiring loom and other work which would have cost £5000+. Natalie at Group I Cambridge (Cambourne) negotiated with BMW HQ to pay for the work. Group 1 did the work quickly and efficiently and it cost me nothing! I'm very impressed with BMW HQ and with Group 1 and would highly recommend them both
Took my car in for an MOT on Monday 10th March at 8am, I was told it would take a couple of hours. By 3pm I still hadn't heard from a representative so I called and was informed that the MOT machine wasn't working and that my car wouldn't be ready until the following day but it was 'promised' to be ready for 10 am on the 11th. I called at 9.30 on the 11th and was told that it wouldn't be ready until 1pm. This created a great deal of inconvenience for me. My husband passed away 3 weeks ago (from cancer) and me not having my car meant I had to collet my 13 year old daughter in his car which freaked her out and upset her considerably. I think the whole process was poor service and poor communication.

Placed a reservation on a car at Group1 Ford, Farnborough £199, 1st March, cancelled 3rd March. Still waiting the credit. Beware placing reservation at all but particularly on the Group1 website, there seems to be some kind of disconnect. After 2 calls to Group1 HQ, finally received the refund on the 18th March.

I bought a car 18 months ago from Southend vw and on the second day the infotainment system failed .this went on for one year until I gave them pre action protocol they were no help, not even replying to my emails prior to that , just hoping I would go away. so now they have a court order on there desk, not even the legal department can get hold of them will keep this thread updated as info comes in
