Did my smsts refresher with Paul Scott. His interaction with us all was second to none. Had us laughing throughout as well as teaching all the topics that needed to be covered. Done a few of these now and this was by far the best.
Paul is a damn good trainer, and he made us laugh and we enjoyed the course. And he can't say I didn't take notes.
We’ve had negative feedback for staff booked to courses with this company again. The biggest problems are course cancellations at short or no notice. Staff being forced into online courses and questionable standards of training provided. Our course booking agent has advised of being subjected to verbal abuse by call centre staff, leading to her distress and refusal to deal with them again. Oddly enough this company used to be great and we’ve used them several times over the last decade, but I have a duty it care to my staff so given recent behaviour we will be finding a better provider! I’ve given them three stars based on past performance but for a customer service to be quite so off with out staff is totally unacceptable.
Sat the course today with instructor Paul Stott leading the training session, very knowledgeable and friendly, would highly recommend Paul and Goldcross training.
Just completed my CITB Health and Safety Awareness course. My instructor was Paul Stott and he was a wonderful instructor. He clearly explained everything throughout the entire day and he also kept us engaged. He made sure we were thoroughly prepared for the assessment at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend him and gold cross training as a whole !

I recently moved from Greece and took the SSSTS – Site Supervisor course with Paul Stott. Thanks to his help, I was able to fully understand the concepts and requirements of the program, which made my transition much easier. He is not only an excellent instructor but also a wonderful person—always patient, willing to explain, and genuinely interested in his students' success. Moreover, his positive energy made the course enjoyable and engaging. I highly recommend him!

Booked up a course, which they kept cancelling due to insufficient delegate numbers. Eventually agreed to a refund, however the kept £100 of a £540 fee. Their T&Cs made no mention of this on booking and they have refused to refund, the matter has now been reported to my Credit Card number for fraud, an unlawful retention of fees paid as a result of them cancelling the course. Don’t touch Gold Cross Training! Last time I did the course with them, when I worked for a Council they never issued the certificate! Edit following response for Gold Cross. It’s interesting how you twist the facts. 1. Generally negative reviews get posted, no one posts positive reviews endlessly so you point it wasted. 2. You accused me of unpleasantness to your tutu or, that is false! Your tutor made broadband demands on me I could not satisfy, including immediately changing my broadband provider. He actually stated not having a camera on was tantamount to not attending the course after I explained leaving it would be necessarily disruptive as my link would keep dropping out! 3. You claim delegate numbers required by CITB, that is false! The CITB has no such mandate. 4. I booked up a course which you cancelled, after highlighting the issues to your team you offered a course on 7th April, which the then subsequently refused to let me join based on your belief you would cancel that one too! You then said you had a course on the 28th April, but again low delegate numbers, so that will probably be cancelled too! You don’t seem competent on actual running the course, you continually cancel courses with little yo no notice and yet somehow you make the delegates fault, in a weak attempt to reassign blame! I’ve found your response deceitful and vindictive, it only validates my initial review! 5. As further validation of this companies unprofessional conduct they have complain to trustpilot to have the review remove. be warned. I attended a course with you 5 years ago when working for the Local Council. I still have all the records of my pursuit for the certificate, which you never issued. The Council never received it either. It says more about the poor quality of service you offer and the Council never placed any delegates either you after the aggravation you caused them!
The approach taken by the instructor- Darren was great. The course was tailored towards application of knowledge to real situations. Darren's method of teaching made each and everyone of the participants to be active throughout the sessions.
The course was conducted very professionally. Clear explanations was given to all subjects.
Paul Norman was very good teacher and delivered the SSSTS course in the best way, and most important simple and understandable for everyone.

Mr Norman is a brilliant instructor, he did not focus only on course topic but gave all the experience and knowledge about the construction industry with examples that has been ocuured. And answers all the question asked whether it relates to topic or not.

Adam was extremely helpful with my nvq. There were questions I didn't understand due to my dyslexia but Adam explained the questions so I could process them in a different way. He gave me the push and the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I can do this.
