Ease of website use

I’ve had a very poor experience with this insurer. Despite paying for second home cover, my genuine claim for escape of water was rejected on technicalities that had nothing to do with the actual loss. They claimed my property was outside their criteria even though it was habitable and met requirements at the time I took out the policy. They also relied on incorrect dates in their rejection letter and threatened cancellation rather than addressing the claim fairly. Communication felt dismissive, with no recognition of the fact that the damage arose suddenly and was unrelated to the minor refurbishment they focused on. I would caution anyone considering this insurer to read the small print carefully. Based on my experience, they seem more interested in avoiding liability than supporting customers when something genuinely goes wrong.

Very easy to use website , captured all the details from the comparison website , did not have to re-enter them all over again.

As soon as you need to claim there is nobody to speak to. I tried to chat to someone in the online chat to work out what to do but they said I had to submit a claim for anyone to look at my case. Since the event happened prior to my insurance starting, it was rejected - which could have been avoided had someone been available to discuss it with me before submitting the claim. Our previous insurer Nationwide were absolutely fantastic with a helpful call centre, no wait, and a friendly human to speak to. After this I wanted to cancel my Frontier insurance but they wouldn't give me a refund because I had made a claim! One which was only made in the first place because they wouldn't speak to me, and was the rejected! Next time I will be sticking with an insurer who has humans to speak to...
