Charlie and Brett Kemp installed our new windows. Lovely polite young men who didn't stop working from the moment they arrived until they left. We have used First Home Improvements before for our conservatory. A couple of snags with order due to company error,not the installers, these being sorted out with no problem.
I booked an appointment after a door canvasser visited, I wanted a quote for new front door as mine although functional, is extremely ugly! I started getting apprehensive after a call from the office to confirm time, making sure I didn’t need to rush off any where. How long could it take to measure & quote for a front door? I was assured we’d be done in an hour. Anyway, a pleasant young man visited and started with all the “schpiel” and taking readings with a little bleeper thing, as I said my door is functional, not drafty, just ugly, I asked if he could measure up, show me some doors and send me a quote. Apparently no, they really need to go through the history of the company! . Just why?? I explained this is not what I was expecting. This young chap said had to call the office before he left my property, this was for his safety and mine. Whatever! He called the office and passed the phone to me, the chap in the office said he was confused as I’d confirmed the appointment, I explained that this was not what I was expecting. I wanted someone to measure up, show me some doors and give me a no obligation quote without all the BS. Unfortunately F1rst Home Improvements were unable to do this without the BS due to compliance reasons! I had already had a reputable company come and measure/ quote so I knew this was completely false information. We parted ways quite quickly. On reading other reviews I was thankful as it seems to be a tactic to bore you to death until you sign up! No doubt F1rst Home Improvements will be thankful for my feedback, and genuinely sorry that my experience did not meet expectations!
We received exceptional service from the Installation team, Richard Gaskin and Jason Cook. They fitted 4 new windows on what was one of the hottest days of the year. They were so professional, polite and although in and out of the house, left the place very tidy. We are delighted with our new windows and for the excellent service given.
All aspects of the enquiries, information and then instalment were first rate. Time was always taken for questions and things explained clearly. The instalment was done quickly and expertly by a first rate worker, who was polite and pleasant. I have used this firm before and will in future. I recommend them with confidence.
What a first-class job from Mark, Chris and Brandon the fitters. The hottest day of the year and they worked diligently and cleaned up after themselves. Polite and respectful of our home, everyone from First Home Improvements has been courteous and helpful. Would certainly recommend this company to others. The neighbours have all been to have a look at the standard of quality products and workmanship. Well done, all.
Good quality windows and outstanding customer service
We had a team of 2 - Richard Gaskin and Jason Cook attend to fit windows and doors and they did a tremendous job. They were courteous and polite and worked extremely hard in spite of the hot weather. The installation was top class and they were more than happy to address any queries that we had throughout the 2 days.
Everyone was very helpful and informed me what was happening. The fitter was very good. He didn’t stop all day and did a very good job. They phoned afterwards to find out if I was happy with the work and said they would send all my paperwork.

Excellent installation of our doors, installer (Jaz Power) couldn't have been more helpful, polite and considerate.
A date was set and the men arrived on that date at the appointed time. They worked very hard in hot conditions and completed the work on time also We are very happy with both the quality of the workmanship and the product itself.
The installers are always tidy. The reason for 3 stars is they are still using out of date 'lick your finger to make it wet then put it directly onto the silicone' I'm not sure anyone has told them there are hundreds of thousands of germs in your mouth which you've just put in my silicone to live in my house forever and no amount of disfectant will get that out. So within a couple of weeks it looks dirty and no amount of cleaning will sort this. My husband uses silicone all the time in his job he never puts his fingers near his mouth to moisten the silicone. He uses sprays. Much more hygienic. And the first team put my cat flap back in wonky. So someone else had to come out and correct this. Otherwise we are happy with the windows this side of things are good.
A very good product which was fitted by friendly staff ,quickly installed to a high standard. The company employ staff who have been working for them for many years which is one reason why we have had First home improvements replace all of our doors and windows.
We enjoyed a lovely chat with the the rep. Who carefully measured our windows. Explained the product and was very helpful in dealing with all our enquiries. The engineer measured all aspects and the order was installed 3 weeks later. The 2 fitters were polite and very respectful of our property. What little mess was cleaned and dust sheets removed. They explained how they worked at any time we asked them questions.
On the hottest day this year so far, Matt and ash worked hard , were pleasant and professional. They were explained what they were doing and answered any questions I had. I'm very happy with the installation and will use them again in the future.
Work was carried out to put a new door on the front of my property and l was very pleased by the way it was all done the man was here on time and was very professional,polite and informative took his time to make sure everything was fitting okay would recommend his work and the Company .Ref129956

couldn't believe the transformation. the old windows were wooden and had seen there day. the 2 window fitters were no trouble they just got on with there work and completed it as stated.im happy with the outcome .we were also informed on there estimated arrival and finish 👌
