Very pleased with the new door and window. Stuart and Neil, the installers, were helpful and polite. The installation was carried out efficiently and without mess.

From initial quote to completion, the process was very easy and we were kept well informed throughout. The only thing, but like all double glazing companies, you have to expect that on first 'quote' for any work, there is always room for'duscussion' to reach a more realistic cost. However, despite this, the product is quality, the installer extremely efficient and we are very pleased with the end product

It was so theatrical from the start for no reason whatsoever, longest thing I’ve ever sat through and very uncomfortably pushy at the end. We were curious to see how much our windows would be so we booked a NON OBLIGATION QUOTE to see what we were looking at for our whole house to know where to go from there for next year. Expecting for it to be 30 minutes tops at a push, we had Marion round for over 4 and a half hours running through how good they are and how rubbish other companies are, explaining without saying anything don’t trust anyone but us blah blah blah. Very unnecessary and didn’t book a guide on business models and advertising tips and how to beat competition. He didn’t even let us eat our dinner until 3 hours in even though he mentioned straight away something smells nice. I understand sales very very well and get they’ve got their targets and expectations but when we have said no in every way under the sun to all proposals, questions and interest of buying now in our own home, have some decency and take the hint. Also, prices are just made up. So the first appraisal came out as £25k, then magically he called his company ( all scripted calls, was very cringey ) and got it down to £18k, then I helped him pack his bags to the car as we wanted him out and then he went through his second rehearsal on the phone and magically got it down to £12k…. This build uncertainty on how premium you make out to be, breaks the trust you built up in your rapport building, and dismantles this great product you make it out to be. If you are looking for a non obligation quote, you will be pushed and you will prodded constantly throughout.

Charlie and Brett were a great team. They worked quietly and efficiently and completed all work to a high standard within the two allocated days. We felt respected and considered. We are delighted with our new windows and doors.

Brilliant service from David Iddon and Ian Gill. Worked efficiently and very well together. The job was finished to a high standard. They were very tidy too, there was no mess left behind, if it wasn't for the new windows and doors you would never know they had been here. They explained everything that we needed to know about our windows and doors very clearly and we have been left extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend.

Originally we bought our windows with 1st and were so super impressed that we returned to buy our doors 6 months later! Frank, the door sales man was so incredible. Very informative and polite, along with answering all of our questions. When it come to fitting day. The two lads who fit our doors (Chris Cade and Brandon Milliard) were cracking lads, very friendly and polite. They carried out their work with great attention to detail quickly and professionally. We are very happy with the level of service that we have received with 1st home improvements and would definitely highly recommend this company for windows and security doors. 5* service for sure

Marion was the sales rep that attended for our initial appointment at 6pm. We were expecting this to be 1-2hrs maximum however we had a whole 'schpiel' to be given which seems like a similar procedure to the many other reviews on here of their experience. At first was lovely to get a bit of background information for windows,the company as a whole and the materials. However he did not end up leaving until 10:30!! and that was after many times of telling him no im not making a decision today. Understandably sales is always like this but we were just shocked at the long 4 and 1/2 hour appointment which was so unnecessary, we had to wait to eat our dinners until about 9pm. The measuring itself and quotes only took 15 minutes of this whole appointment. We were being informed of the company, their sales tactics, advertisement/marketing ways and their competitors, which is great but highly unnecessary. Whenever asking direct questions as such 'how much would it be for X amount windows instead of the full house?' we would be given a long winded answer and diverted back to another different topic, totally unrelating. Seen similar reviews here also that their sales reps always go with 'what do you think' etc for prices. This was supposedly a 'No obligation quote' however the sales rep that came to speak with us was very pushy, I had said no at least 4x and had to point out blank say 'im not making a decision tonight' Just concerned for others that could be easily pressured into signing documents on the spot to be wary of these people. We were quoted to start with £26k for 8 windows and 2 doors, which shockingly dropped to £18k after a phone call to the office. Consistently telling us that we are saving a lot, however comparisons online showing us that this is ridiculous. Whole demeanor and experience just felt very untrustworthy. Be wary.

Installation gentleman Robert Crick was great, nice, polite and cleaned up the mess made while installing window. Guys like Robert are an asset to the company.

Polite, prompt, the installers arrived on time as always they worked efficiently and cleared up afterwards as usual. This is the 3rd time we have used 1st home improvement they are a good british company.

Mike Taylor came promptly at 8am and worked solidly and without a break until after 1.30pm to ensure that my new window was fully installed and working properly. I'm not sure how just one person can manage to fit a window by themselves, but he certainly didn't seem to find it a problem. Mike was professional, friendly and jolly. Jade Downs our Service Engineer was excellent. Very polite, friendly, turned up on time, and efficient.

The team of Tony and Sean arrived on time during the two day fit. The van was clean and tidy as was Tony and Sean . They were both very cheerful and pleasant and happy to answer any questions or queries. They worked hard and non stop all day even though it was during those extremely hot summer days. The windows and door were fitted and completed to a very high standard and on time even though the house itself presented a difficult construction. Well done T & S and thank you.

The two fitters , Tony Thay and Colin Jefferson who carried out the renewal of Soffits, Facias and Gutters on our bungalow made a first class job they were very helpful. clean and tidy they were friendly and kept us informed of the progress of the work The office when contacted were helpful informative and the work was carrie0d soon after the quote was accepted. made a first class job. they were helpful

This week First Home Improvements replaced all our 47 year old windows - the patio door will be done when the scaffolding is removed. From the beginning everything was effortless. The initial visit was very informative and we were certainly not pressurised into anything. The surveyor was very helpful, answering all questions with clear explanations and the company followed up everything in writing. The couple that actually did the refitting were delightful and obviously very experienced. They worked nonstop despite the heat (it was the hottest day of the year), and cleared up any mess that was made. Also impressive was that a representative from the firm came out each day for a visit. We are really, really pleased with the windows. The surrounds are perfect and the security fittings superb. The glass itself is fascinating - you just don’t notice it! They look equally good from the outside and the inside. A huge thank you to everybody,

Very pleased with our new two front windows, fitted in a most professional way by a great tidy team. I would recommend First Home Improvements and would use them again in the future.

My windows and door were fitted by Chris Cade and Brandon McCliard (I think, I struggled to read his surname). They were very efficient, arrived on time and worked continuously until they finished the job. They were both very polite and friendly, did a great job and left my home and garden clean and tidy. I highly recommend First Improvements, they were great from beginning to end.

Had a visit for some faulty replacement units last week. The fitter, Jaz Powar, was amazing. Friendly, professional, speedy, and competent! Great job all round! Thanks Jaz 👍
