Excellent worker.
Terrible. Whilst I appreciate my situation may be different to others I still wanted to share my experience. (I booked a one off cleaning service) I made the booking about 3 weeks ago (so way in advance). I called the day before the service to confirm, which they did over the phone. I also received a confirmation email later that day. I also received a confirmation by text saying who the cleaning company was that would be visiting my property. Everything was confirmed on a number of occasions. The cleaning window for arrival was 3-4.30. On the day of arrival i waited and waited. At 3.50 I tried to call a number of times to see the status of the service but it kept going through to the answer service for fantastic services. By 4.30 no one turned up, by 5pm still no one and no one to get through to at fantastic services either. The property to be cleaned was in Kent, by 6pm no one turned up so we returned back to London. A good 5 hours of my day was wasted waiting for the cleaners and the travel time back and forth to the house. At 7pm I received a call to say that there was a glitch on the system and they do not cover kent and they were trying to find another cleaner - if they were trying to find another cleaner they should have called me when they realised not at 7pm! The fact they said they do not cover the area is also unacceptable as they confirmed on a bump of occasions and sent me the name of the cleaning company- they must have some pretty smart AI robots managing their system to be able to do all of this and bypass a system glitch when they claim to not cover the area (I don’t live in the sticks of Kent either). Whilst my situation be a unique one I still think it’s unacceptable. The amount of time i had wasted waiting around I could have cleaned the property myself plus another 2 hours of my day wasted. Won’t be using again that’s for sure.
This company is a perfect example of everything wrong with the cleaning industry: fake professionalism, customer manipulation, and worker exploitation all wrapped in a “Fantastic” bow. Spoiler alert: there’s nothing fantastic about it. Unless you enjoy being overcharged while contributing to the daily degradation of cleaners like myself. Let’s start with what you see as a customer. You pay £200, £300, sometimes more, expecting a top-tier service. You probably imagine your money goes to trained staff, proper equipment, and good support. Reality check: • There’s no proper training for cleaners. • Cleaners buy their own cleaning supplies, yet the company still charges you for them. • We get paid £12 an hour, sometimes less, with no travel allowance, no sick pay, and no job security. • Oh and don’t forget the monthly fee of £14 from our pay for “app” maintenance. Whatever that means. So when your “after-builders clean” looks rushed, or your bathroom wasn’t scrubbed to perfection, it’s not always laziness or carelessness. It’s often exhaustion. This company runs us ragged. Some days start at 7 a.m. and don’t end until 10 p.m. You could have three, four jobs lined up across town, barely time to sit down, let alone eat. You’re going from one physically draining job to the next on an empty stomach, surviving on just water or a biscuit if you’re lucky. By the time we get to the third or fourth job, we’re shattered, but guess what? The company doesn’t care. If you cancel a job, even for genuine fatigue or illness, they make you pay the full amount that the client paid. So most cleaners just push through, even when they’re dizzy, weak, or mentally drained. That’s why the service sometimes looks half-done. Because the people doing the cleaning are running on fumes. Meanwhile, their customer service is pure theatre. They’ll call you non-stop when they want to book you in, but once there’s a complaint? Silence. Ignored emails. Weak apologies. As a worker, you’re treated as completely replaceable. As a customer, you’re seen as just another transaction. It’s a numbers game for them, burn through enough people on both ends and they still come out on top. But don’t be fooled. Their glossy branding and “premium” appearance is a façade. Underneath, it’s chaos, underpayment, and emotional burnout. So here’s the truth: if you’re booking through this company, you are actively participating in this cycle. You’re not just paying for a clean house, you’re paying into a system that leaves real people broken and hungry. And you’re getting overcharged for the privilege. If you respect honest work, don’t support this company. Look for ethical, direct-hire cleaners or smaller businesses that actually value their staff. This one? This is modern-day exploitation sold to you in an app. Avoid.
