Wish I had read all these negative reviews before I purchased a water filtration system from EWT as I would have avoid a lot of stress. My filtration system started leaking just before completing 1 year and I realise now I only got it sorted fast (I thought!) because it was due to get serviced, so after I paid, I got a visit. However, the system continues to leak and it's been over two months now with no filtered water and no assistance from them despite multiple calls. Very frustrating and unfair, don't recommend to anyone.
I have exchanged 21 emails with ewt since 11/23, who have mislead, and frankly lied to me when ordering 3 cartridges for my ewt water filter system. I still have no cartridges, despite having submitted a formal complaint only to get no response, which is against the law.They are horrible to deal with. Don't even think about installing their water softener it is more trouble than it's worth.

Very expensive service for 10 minutes work. Paid £217 for annual service which involves changing the filter under sink which costs no more than £20. They then check the system which takes 5 minutes. The man that did the service was nice and professional but this is a rip off from EWT who's systems aren't cheap to begin with. If they supplied 6-12 months salt as part of the service this would certainly soften the blow. I'd avoid having EWT water softener, others on the market that don't need extortionate annual services.
paid for a service in Feb, still waiting (May 24). you can't book a time you await a time and when you get a date given, you then struggle to change on the app/phone (it does not work). Mgrs don't take calls and the "care team" don't either. you email and don't get replies ! Shocking Numerous follow ups and nowhere to go!
Mine water softener stopped working mid 2023 and two booked appointments were not honoured,no response despite several emails.would not recommend at any price.
My old EWT softener packed up and I tried via their unhelpful desk , their page in which they ask for a time to contact you , all I wanted was to talk to someone from which I could purchase a new one. Also I got a message today stating an engineer would contact me , too late I have a new unit installed via a phonecall and 24 hours later unit up and running. Really the company should take heed of all these reviews because there are plenty of comparable units on the market.
**Review for EWT Technologies - 1 Star** I had a terrible experience with EWT Technologies regarding my water softener system. After reporting a malfunction on April 8th, 2024, which caused extensive damage to my property, I was promised priority service. However, their response was dismal. An initial appointment was abruptly cancelled, costing me a day of work. When an engineer did come, he damaged my cupboard shelf and flooded my kitchen. Despite their "10 years parts warranty," EWT refused to replace my faulty system, citing high chlorine levels as the cause, and ignoring the significant issues I faced. Their customer service is unresponsive, and their promises of a "Perfect Customer Experience" are empty. The ordeal ended with EWT trying to charge me €749 for a replacement, even after I lost two water pumps, had my taps blocked, and had to replace my shower, all because of their faulty system. I would not recommend EWT Technologies to anyone based on my awful experience. Avoid them at all costs.
Its been months i ordered service and salt .. i sent nearly 3 notices and i was told someone will come on 24th April and it passed too. I am going to serve legal notice and complaint if my issue is not resolved in a week.. absolutely pathetic service never buy from this company .. i am stuck because i have their machine..very lathargic company
Credit where it is due, they installed the system and it worked and works well. I was happy to recommend them at that point. Then during covid an engineer called, didn't want to wear a mask and completed a service in 10 mins flat. When we complained the CEO who promptly applied credit. So far reasonably good. But when we went to pay for a service with the credit we told the credit could only apply to products (salt) . They have been relentless in this and refuse to to listen or apply the credit. Enough was enough and we moved to a different firm to get servicing. They still send threatening emails and have become very unpleasant. If you are reading this EWT, if you provide a credit for a poor service, it makes sense that the customer can then use that credit towards a service and not just peripherals. Please apply the credit for service.
AVOID this company at all costs I had a water system fitted in December 2022 and I have had nothing but problems ever since. There is a leak with the system the fitted and EWT will not take ownership for this problem,it's caused thousands of euros worth of damage to my breakfast bar/island in my kitchen and surrounding floors.I have contacted this company on many occasions looking for some help and the have defined the problem being down to them.I have had an assessment from a independent engineer and he states the leak is down to EWT and their system.I feel very let down by the company as they have just turned their backs once they get their money.AVOID If you don't want the hassle and heartache from them they haven't the decency to reply with a name to my email it's all signed EWT.
Awfull company to deal with no customer service skills at all.I ordered salt the end of January it was supose to be delivered the 15th of February they took the money and never delivered the salt it. It is now April still no salt or money back we have been emailing and ringing since February the I got one reply on email last week saying they had no engineer in my area that they were training someone in even tho I have seen the van ,and I don't know what that has to do with my salt delivery Twice in all that time did we actually get through on the phone they hung up on my husband and the lady I got through to couldn't understand me and didn't know how to deal with issue .I would never recommend this Company they are a absolute disgrace.
I have been ordering online every year from them since 2020. The order made online on 20 February 2024 (fully paid) did not trigger anything apart from the transaction on my credit card: no email, no sms message. A week later I called and received the "we could not find your order" response. So much for the "you can order our services online". Eventually, I complained online and received an SMS message on 1-Mar-2024 saying "your appointment date will arrive to you by SMS within 5 working days". Of course, it didn't. Needless to say, no appointment ever materialised. I called them about 10 times ("we are having difficulties dispatching your order"). In my last call (26 Mar 2024) I was simply asking for my money back. The person on the phone said "I can refund you now or I booked you an appointment on Friday". I double checked whether they are aware it's a Good Friday and they sent me the date via SMS. Naturally, it was a blatant lie and nobody ever turned up. Right now they are not answering my calls. Update: money eventually refunded.
Service has gone down hill , I was left with a quite substantial leak after the engineers visit had to phone 3 times to arrange for engineer to come back to fix but to no avail they arranged for a re-visit after 5 days later so I repaired it myself. What a nonsense I shall not be using EWT again.
The water softener is not that bad, but the customer care is horrible. It took me 2 weeks to get an appointment for an engineer to come and look at a salt bridge that started 1 week after we got the softener installed. My wife took a day off from work to be at home and they cancelled the appointment at the last minute. They are really fast at getting the softener installed in your home but if you have any problems after good luck. I don't recommend this company to anyone!!!!!

They cancelled my last appointment without telling me in the day of installation, I take a day of from work but I find out later on my self that appointment was cancelled do to lack of stock. Contacted Harvey Water Softeners professional company and the fit within couple of days 😂 and offered great service.
I have had a Water Softener since Feb 2014, recently I noticed that the water was not being softened, following a service I was told the unit is at the end of life as it is now >10 years old and it is not covered under the warranty. They are still happy to sell me an expensive service plan. When checking my purchase information I found a book that states the warranty when bought was for 20 years, when I raised this with the company via their customer service email, I no longer get a response, when calling the customer service number they cannot help ask insist I email them
Rubbish after care service. Engineer are not fully qualified- I can say because I am an engineer. Better to get another company product than EWT. Customer care team never updates you about any lateness and delays and give excuse- I knew this because they wanted to arrange timing and I selected not flexible so end time they said can breakdown. Silly. They think customers doesn’t know anything.
