Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever, never respond emails or calls, not recommend them at all. I'm a customer, and is impossible to contact them if you have an issue with their products

The products aren't even that bad, but they do break. The real problem is that you can't get in touch with the company. They don't answer calls. The leak reports are ignored no matter how many times you submit them. You end up with really serious issues and need to try and source a plumber to fix leaks, etc., yourself. Then, you are left with non-functioning equipment and lots of money down the drain.
We informed EWT that we had tested the water in our house and that the test showed that our water wasn't soft. So an engineer came to deal with the problem. Before he came we had water coming from our hot taps when we turned them but none after his visit. During his visit he found that a filter in the water softener was broken . He replaced the filter and said that this was causing resin to go into our system and that we should contact our boiler people to clean the boiler filter and then we would have hot water. We found out that we weren't covered by our boiler people because the problem was caused by EWT. We ended up having to pay the boiler engineer to get our hot water back, We tried contacting EWT about this but with no success via phone or a contact service on their website. I perservered for days to get a response from them. However eventually we did get a response from EWT. They blamed the delay in responding to us to a company reorganisation. They washed their hands of any idea of paying the cost as they said that it resin issues were not covered by their insurance. We lost all trust in the water softener and by EWTs lack of support. So we decided to uninstall. We were told that it would cost us £100 to uninstall our water softener. They wouldn't agree to waive this fee. However, our trust in EWT and the water softener was gone so we went ahead with the uninstall and finish with EWT.
Quite the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered online a new tap and filter, but didn't require the fitting service. Having paid, I received a text saying that I owed them an extra £80 for the fitting service. I tried many many times to ring them but they don't answer the phone (try them - 020 3510 6788). Their message says they provide a world class service before ringing off!) Many messages using their contact messenger service went unanswered. Today, unexpectedly a very nice gentleman from another company came to fit the tap! Needless to say he wasn't required.
Stopped working after service (which was not required and was asked to do so by EWT as an annual checkup). It has been 3 months since then and I can't even contact these guys by any means (They don't respond to calls or emails). Repenting why I got it serviced. -- They have fixed it finally.
We originally got the system installed in October 2022. The service then was good, technician very knowledgeable and helpful and customer service the same. I got the water softener system for the house and the tri flow water filter tap. Got it serviced as recommended but the tri flow tap started to drip because limescale built up in the tap (part where drinking water comes from). Booked a service and technician was so poor. Very basic service of the system and terrible attitude about the tap - answer given to me was - you’re out of warranty so won’t fix it, we don’t carry the parts for those taps, even thou they fit them and it’ll cost €400 for a new tap. And the lime scale built up because that past of the system isn’t processed by the softener as it’s a different filter for drinking water. Customer service were bad to deal with - rang multiple times and they said a manager will call back - still waiting EWT have recently been bought over by a company called Culligans I believe and it’s gone down hill hugely since then. STAY AWAY - get your softening system elsewhere
Terrible service. Paid 120 euro for a service. Tech never showed up. I've requested call backs 3 times, I've heard nothing. When you ring, you're on hold for 5 minutes then it disconnects.
Softener not working, filtration system now working. I got it serviced twice this year and it stopped working within 2 months after the service. I emailed twice complaining and called them a number of times, I still cannot get through, they are pure dog sh@t Avoid if all possible
Technicians are not talented at all and are very lazy. I bought reverse osmosis and water softener. These 2 devices should have been fixed in the same place but the technician was so lazy to cut some shelves and even after saying him to fix everything in the same shelf, he did not listen. He used dishwasher space. Many of our neighbors in the same estate with the same house design had fixed everything in the same place but this person did not listen to us.
Extremely unsatisfied with the company. Installed water softener in our new house in March. 4 months and multiple complaints and emails later they accepted that the softener machine is not working. Agreed to replace a new softener. A month later, still waiting for the replacement even after calling their customer service almost every day. Every new equipment in my new house is covered with limescale. Extremely disappointed with the whole team
I purchased a water softener from this company three years ago, and while the softener itself works well, be prepared for long waits—sometimes months—if you need to order salt or request service.
3 months to get the water leak fixed and still no appointments Calling weekly to ask for appointments and the response is we have your area for one day only Apologies through emails and no actions Not recommended for the service after installation
another week and another disappointment - no response from them. I've had a problem with the water softener since April and for the last month they've been promising a service technician every week and he hasn't come! no respect for the customer, they don't care what happens after the sale! I do not recommend!
Engineer visited my property to repair machine. He left machine filtering through as not been working for a while. He said contact EWT to book another appn. Been trying for three weeks no reply to requests or emails. Terrible look for another company !!!!
Absolutely worst company for water softeners. We had ours installed in November 2021 and since then the head which is called the brain of the softener has gone faulty twice, first in December 2022, then again now in July 2024. Even though our unit warranty is valid till November 2031, we have been told to switch to another softener by paying £500, even though its not our fault at all. The customer service said they know its not your fault but it is our process and we cannot do anything about it.
Customer service is appalling No one answers the phone or emails. Takes 8 weeks to get an engineer to fix the issue. The engineer attending the job is rude, impatient and does a shoddy job. One of their engineers installed the softner. Another engineer comes later and says its a bad job that he won't fix. I have paid the cost of the unit to other plumbers, who don't want to touch the softener. Finally, I don't have a softener and now will be looking for another company. Don't even consider using EWT - it works well. If it doesn't you are on your own,
Terrible company!!! Ordered a DIY replacement water filter for my unit and paid in full. Nearly 2 weeks now and no sign of it being dispatched. Tried contacting company multiple times and still no response. Stay away folks!
***UPDATE 14th August: I have tried every day to request a call-back via the app and have still not heard back. Are they going bust? My water softener is still not serviced despite paying for it. Do not use this company!*** Really sad to post this because EWT were "OK" 10, even 5 years ago. Then the price to service my unit shot up ludicrously. I just didn't get it serviced but took the easy option and I decided not to go to another company because the EWT unit seemed to work fine. So on the 18th June I paid the silly price to get it serviced and went for the "next available appointment" option... DO NOT DO THAT! We were sent text messages a few times to say that the engineer was on his way, duly made sure somebody was home and nobody came for any of the alerts. As I've read here, I tried many times to get a call back to get my money back and nobody called. They don't seem to be contactable at all and so I thought they may have gone bust with my money unrefunded. Then out of the blue I got an email saying they were coming July 17th and I did not hold out hope they'd pitch. Then without warning they actually did arrive today. Luckily my wife had cancelled her appointments to be at home and it is now serviced. I did not want this service. I wanted my money back but had no choice. I've Googled how to service it myself in future and although it is a bit of a job, I still need to know how to re-set the timer so it doesn't just go to the "SERV" mode automatically, thus not performing its rejuvenation of the system. Anybody got any tips on how to hack this? Avoid EWT for sure if you are thinking of a new water softener but don't be put off by getting one. They are amazing and you will never have do de-limescale your sparkling shower and shower screen ever again. Clothes come out softer and supposedly keep their colours better. I'm afraid I don't have a better company to suggest but I'll be moving on so would value suggestions there too. Regards and thanks, H.I.T. ***17th July update: when I got home from work it turned out they HAD NOT SERVICED IT! The guy apparently spent 20 min at our place, replaced the G1 water filter and said something about not having any salt on him and left. We had ordered a bunch of salt but have plenty at home though, so that can't have been the excuse for not servicing the water softener. And do you think that you phone anyone to complain/ get it sorted? Of course not. So just like others who have posted negatve feedback here, I'll have to just go to the app regularly and request a call back, as I have so many times without success***
After failing to tell us about the resin reservoir being near to or at end of life EWT became extremely difficult then impossible to contact. I did get a call back from "Steph" who was very helpful but the company did not back up her efforts. EWT are not returning calls, not answering calls and not responding to callback requests on their app. If you ring them on the Dublin or 0203 number you will be cut off after exactly 4 minutes !! I would give them 0 out to 5 but TrustPilot doesn't allow that. They were recently merged with Harvey under the Culligan holding company - don't hold your breath expecting good service !!!
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. They’re ok getting the system installed but getting salt out of them, getting an answer to when salt will be available, getting them to return the calls they promise to return is all impossible. We currently have a very expensive canister under our sink doing sweet FA. I would run a mil if I had read these reviews prior to purchase, I hope you don’t make the same mistake.
