We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
Best rental company in Melbourne
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
East Coast Cars is a great service and I'll use them again.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

Great service
A great service from this company. Being picked up at the airport to collect my vehicle and then being dropped off there again when it was time to go home was an absolute gem. Staff all extremely friendly. Just one point I would like to make is don’t bother getting insurance from a 3rd party as you still have to get their insurance (it’s a good price and I got the one that covered me for everything). If you book the rental from a third party, like I did, you don’t get to know this but apparently it does say so on their own website. So my suggestion is just wait until you pick up the rental and sort insurance out with them.

Great service. The lady at the counter was very patience. Although the location is not within the airport, the driver was promptly waiting for us at the pickup area and drove us to the rental office. The driver was great too.

Great Rental Experience!
We arrived at Gold Coast airport on 24.12.23 and departed 1.1.24 We were a bit reluctant to book a company that wasn't based at the airport mainly because of the convenience of being able to get off the plane and having your car right there. However after a recommendation from a family member and also the excellent price East Coast car rentals offered, we decided to go with them. It turned out to be a very easy process. The video directing us to the shuttle was amazing and very easy to follow, and on arriving the shuttle was waiting for us. Extremely welcoming and pleasant staff and again on arriving at their office our car was ready and waiting for us. The returning process was equally as easy. I would use East Coast Car Rentals again
Booking was straight forward. Paperwork was handled efficiently. The car was clean. I appreciated that, on pick-up, a full range of photos was taken by East Coast Car Rental in my presence and emailed to me, so there were no queries, on return, about a pre-existing scrap on the front bumper.

Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish. Pickup from the airport was really quick and easy to the depot 5 minutes away; the car I hired was clean and reliable; and the price I paid was excellent compared to the bigger brands. The return was very fast and easy and the bill I got for a toll fee incurred was quickly passed on with only a $1 admin fee. Highly recommended!
